It’s called getting old people. When you do something you love all your life, it’s all you know . Collective Soul is and was a great band. Their music will live in us forever. ❤
appreciate this. Hard to realize Ed was always 7-8 years older than the rest. Been the biggest fan since the 90s, seen them a few times starting in 2008. He looked better then :D lol god bless them. But nothing without Ross. Nothing.
Nothing wrong Ed's voice. I've seen them a ton live -- last month as a matter of fact. Unfortunately this recording isn't the best. Collective Soul is a great band and truly underrated. Glad I live in Georgia, because they are my all-time favorite band to see live. 😉
I'm sorry you missed the show and I know it's not the same, but I hope the video made it a little better. If it did, I posted a few more from that show, you may want to check out. Thank you for watching and commenting. I appreciate it. :)
It's ironic how social media is just a swimming pool of critics who gather to only talk what they think is bad when not only this is a good performance but everyone who has seen Ed singing live knows nothing has had a major changed... It's only people giving opinion on issues they don't know anything about.
@@jwkovacs722 You're not wrong! Cesspool seems to be more in tune when people start bashing such an artist like Ed... I'm just grateful CS keeps on going👐🏻🙌🏻
We live in a world now where AI bs has to correct everything or auto tune to perfection. Screw that..this is original and live, if your offended by this performance you might be stuck in the modern world of fake wokeness. This is a beautiful performance
We need a conversation. If you don't understand... I understand the fear in not understanding. It's still here after all this time. What is it? Help me, help you, help others❤ God did what he did with purpose.
Thank you so much! I really appreciate it. Also, thanks for subscribing!! That was awesome of you. For the last three years, I've been using an iPhone 13 Mini. Before that, I used a iPhone 5s, and before that I was using a Cannon HD camera. 😀🤘
@@HonkyTonkBuffalo yeah really great video, and I noticed that it does exactly the same as my Samsung ultra, focuses the audio as you zoom in and out. Great videos I definitely subscribed, it seems like you will go watch a lot of the concerts I go see. Although it looks like you might get a little bit better of a variety that we get here in St Louis. Thanks for the upload!
@@HonkyTonkBuffalo will do. They played a show at the venue at the end of my subdivision. Killer band. Rare you get guys that old with two core members still in the band. They sound great, and Punky is a very genuine human being!
@danmulholland1634 he slept with the lead singers wife back when they were huge which is what caused the early breakup. The lead singer remarried awhile ago.
This is not the singer I knew in collective soul. If something happened to his voice I wish he would just be honest about it because I can understand that better then being super confused in what I'm hearing here you know? Roxanne
Ed’s falsetto has always been weird. He’s been singing this for 25 years, he’s not a young pup. He also is coughing during this and the mix is horrible.
You may just be used to hearing the originally recorded version which makes a raw version like this sound so different. Some times they double the vocals of the singer in recordings and also smooth out all the imperfections. The live version is usually better for that reason, when you’re actually there to hear it, not via video, which will reduce the sound quality. I would also add to what the other person said about what happens to anyone’s voice as they age, but he’s not that old yet. Go watch some recent stuff by Sting if you like that music, he can’t even sing some of his songs in the original high key they were recorded in and he takes them a whole interval(step) down, just so he can hit the high notes.
I think collective soul has lot of great music but sadly i dont think they bring the sound to stage very well sorry to be honest hope not to argue with.anybody

One of the greatest songs ever. It's true for me now more than ever, and I've been running for 60 of my 72 years. I run and I run, Lord I run.
66 here...been running so long, but I'm running out of steam...😢

Absolutely 💯 perfect 🤩! Collective Soul the best rock band of all time
still sounds fantastic. Great job guys.
Love it! Good to see you guys out there again!

I'm about to see them in NZ. Night after next. I can't wait!!! One of my fave bands of all time 😍
Yes that's true... CS fans for 30 years have been with me daily.... until now I'm 46 years old and still love their songs❤
One of the best songs of all time. He sounds amazing
My Favorite group ever! Amazing live...
Excellent band, seen in Reno

Great Songs Of Collective Soul.
This is the concert I missed because of Stub hub! They never sent me my ticket until I the next day. I cried for days about it!

The band stays tight over the years. The voice is a perishable commodity . . He knows it..
Cool as hell party on
Another great band
My college crush! Still is! Perfection!! ❤🎵🎶❤️
Gonna be seeing them with Hootie

FIXED- social media is just a cesspool of critics. These guys sound as tight as ever. Great band.

…what exactly is 🔥about this hatchet job??
Not defending what ross did but I wish they could come together for a reunion. He f*cked up bad but maybe its time to forgive.
That's a tough call 😢
What did he do sorry to ask but idk much of they're personal history
@danmulholland1634 he slept with the lead singers wife back when they were huge which is what caused the early breakup. The lead singer remarried awhile ago.
you know your band is doing good when 30 some years after your still doing concerts like this..
Define “doing concerts” 🤔
What happened with his voice?? Wish you fit n healthy, my man!!
Wow. This made me sad.

Looks like he had a stroke or something.

Wow..completely lost his voice. Was he sick??
I think collective soul has lot of great music but sadly i dont think they bring the sound to stage very well sorry to be honest hope not to argue with.anybody
Due to alcohol... After the gig drink alcohol. It is better to drink genger tonic.
The one time I wished the artist used Audio Tune.....but not bad, the Fine Young Cannibals are not young anymore.
No the real problem is that you are used to hearing artists with auto tune applied. If you were there, it would sound amazing.
@@peterschaefer1665 nah its really bad. His voice used to be good. Now he´s in Vince Neil, Axl Rose and David Lee Roth territory
Well now I know why my dude didn’t sing the chorus the first two times…
Le temps abime,ça fait mal
Ça fait peur....le temps,l'alcool,la défonce..ça abime grave
I don't really care for the way he has changed his singing style. They were awesome in there time, I kinda think his ego ruined the core of the band.
Not a good look when you have the crowd singing most of the words. Dude can’t sing at all.
you should learn to james hetfield how to be perfect your voice all of time on your performance
Sounds like a dog in pain.
A collective waste of time
