Hurst's new Competition/Plus shifter for the 2011-2014 Mustang GT, Boss 302 and Base V6 with MT-82 Transmission reduces throw reduction by 18% over the stock #Mustang shifter. Features include a new billet aluminum base housing, a spherical pivot bearing with Delrin support ring to reduce vibration and noise transmitted through the shifter from the transmission and also a trick looking mini T-handle, that accuates the reverse lock-out to ensure you don't accidentally shift into reverse when you want first gear. So the shifter is not assembled when we receive it? Also how much taller is it over the stock shifter? The stock shifter just seems a bit low for me

The Hurst Competition Plus Shifter for the 2011-2014 Mustang (part# 3916039) arrives partially assembled. During the installation, you will have a few "donor" items from the OEM shifter that need to be transferred to the new Hurst Shifter. As for height, the shifter measures 8.50" from the billet aluminum base to the top of the white Hurst Shift Ball. If you have additional questions please do not hesitate to call us at 707-544-4761.
