I got this shifter for my 2016 mustang GT. It shifts nice once the mt82 is warm. Overall I’m really happy with the shifter. Only comment is there is a bit of looseness in the shifter when it’s in gear (able to move shifter left to right ). Besides that when I want to shift fast it’s nice and short and I can go through the gears nice and quick.
3 years later.
I’m thinking of putting it on my 2019, so how has it been over the last couple of years? Any other comments? I’d assume the looseness is probably still better than stock, so that doesn’t discourage me too much.

Don’t the 5.0s and the GT350s have the same transmission?
@@parkermeredith6035 No, they don't the gt350 offers a Tremec six-speed manual transmission. While the 5.0 comes with the infamous mt-82 transmission.
I don't care for that reverse lockout lever. Does it have to be installed?

that reverse shifter looks that would get annoying after awhile.
Don't like this shifter after six months of use it is so sloppy going to 3rd u end up in 5th emailed hurst they said to send it to a place and have it rebuilt

The shifter is nice but the lockout handle just comes out for no good reason. Had it happen a couple times in my mustang.
Do they make one without a hideous lockout😬
