Bash you? Dude, I'm taking notes!
Seriously, you've inspired me to try my own little experiment with a lighting.
I was waiting on the print while watching this. Great job.
After struggling for a few days, I'm so happy that I found this video showing the tools and how to use them.
Don't forget to use the combine function in the end so you have a single manifold body. That's important for certain slicers as well as editing it in other modeling software.
Nice video though, greetings from Germany! :)
Forgot to include that. i had recorded this tutorial 3 times. first time OBS died and didn't notice. second time mic died and didn't notice. 3rd time i missed the combine function hehe
@@3DMakerNoob Oh wow, well thank you for your effort! It's turned out real good :)
Awesome! Joe thank you! We need more streams and content while we’re all going nuts!
Joe, you make it look extremely easy. I literally spent 8 hours to make an external HDD holder to mount my disks behind my computer case using fan holes.
It’s wasn’t easy in the beginning, but eventually it does. Just gotta spend lots of time on it :)
I've been wanting to learn more about Fusion 360. I think your new videos are going to help me quite a bit.
Keep yourself safe and healthy, too.
Joe - Thanks for the inspiration! Just finished a rebuild on my Anycubic Kossel which included adding a nice beefy part cooling fan. This is a great test to see how well I can print and not have things come out all furry.
Thank you, Joe! Glad you and the family are healthy and glad to see you putting out some great content for us as usual. I think my 11 year old son needs a new shade in his room so this will be a great next CAD project for us.
Hi Joe,
That lampshade project was ingenious. Easy to modify to another shape. Staying inside here, but one of my other hobbies is amateur radio so have something to pass the time. Take care.
Looks good! Little bit sanding helps for a better finish. In your case no or a lot less infill needed.
Great job. I continue to be amazed at what can be done with a 3d printer, some time and some knowledge. Keep up the great work.
Looks great! Not sure who is bashing you (you definitely aren't a noob anymore as far as I can tell), but they clearly don't understand that the learning and trial process is one of the best parts of 3D printing. Can't wait to see what you do next!
I’m always learning, and many who are experts in fusion 360 are more keen on displaying their dominance than helping out constructively. Either way I try to learn new things all the time and share it all :)
Hi Joe! Thanks for the video. I like learning new or different ways of doing things in fusion.
Least I can do is show what I learn :)
Enjoy your videos. Building the LED Mood Lamp while watching this.
Awesome!
Hi! - I learned some new things with Fusion 360 - Thanks a lot!
Hi Joe! another awesome project! my wife saw it and said she wants a few! Thanks and be safe!
Smart designs
I love the shade. Thanks for the mini tutorial.
Thanks for the lesson Joe.
Great video for design in fusion, but here is some advice.. 1. Use the other side of caliper when you measure inner dimensions, 2. You don't need infill, instead add 1or2 walls in print, 3. Fan or heat gun will help you to get rid of string ...
Gl hf and stay safe!
i just... love you!!! such a great human u are
Great information! Now 12 hours of printing time ahead :)
Greetings Joe, excellent job! Beautiful design!
Looks neat, personally I'd of put some fabric around the outside though, light enough to see the design through the light but heavy enough to block out light 😊
Just starting to learn Fusion 360 so this min he of Video is super helpful! Thanks
I love this video. I need more lessons on 3D printing from scratch or I just need to experiment with the software.
Genius, so simple after watching you
Well Joe, you know, my "artificial light sources" (torches :) ) from my apartment are in the same condition as yours were... I am also thinking on making something myself, not necessarily full 3D printed, and you gave me a few invaluable hints. Thank you very much!
Hi Joe! thanks for making!
Thanks buddy :)
It turned out very nice! Well done! Great tutorial!
Thank you
Bashing, really? Love you're doing these video's man, always loved them and always will. :)
Thanks buddy :)
very interresting,i know what to do for my next lamp. thank you for sharing.
Sweet 😉👍🏼
Thanks for video, loved all of it, it inspired me, to make a lamp shade for myself today after 3 years of "I'll do it after my current projects, cuz they going to be done soon..."
I mean, I got the time now anyway, so why not? :D
Thanks again.
Hey, I have "naked" lamps like that for a few years as well. Time to change that I guess. Oh, by the way, thanks for sending the T-Shirt. My apologies for continuing to forget sending you my details so you had to figure them out yourself.
Very nice
Great video looking forward to seeing more
Hi...now say hi back...
Joking aside, i love this lampshade. Seeing as i am moving soon, maybe i am gonna print some :D
expetacular , muy buen video ,gracias
nice inspiration and well explained, thank you
Very nice job! I’ll be making something like this.
Very cool design. My only feedback is that holy crap you go very fast! Great work tho.
Hello Joe, very nice design. Unfortunately, I am unable to stay home during these times as I am needed at work. The company I work for has been hard at work developing and manufacturing a molecular test to detect the COVID-19 at hospitals and medical universities. Last week we were given the Emergency User Authorization from the FDA to produce this test and delivered 150,000 tests and scaling up the capacity to be able to produce one million tests per week. Since I work in maintenance, we have been working everyday to maintain the facilities to keep everything running smoothly. All of us here are doing everything we can to stay healthy to keep working. Stay safe, and keep making those videos.
I love the variety of things you do around the house and in the shop. Please keep it up, naysayers be damned!
Thanks brother
Hi Joe - Glad you're safe!
Thanks kev, take care!
Hi, I love it. Thanks
looks great. nice design. Stay Safe, Brother.
You too dude
Great demo
Home Improvement, Version 2020 :) Stay safe! In my area in Germany we will have lockdown officially from this midnight. I have no idea why it took so long, finally.
Same here, not sure what they are waiting for
In Bavaria we are in lockdown since Saturday 00:00. I don't understand why they took so long either.
@@damienmartinguillerez Not to forget: Bavaria and Saxony are one step ahead of most other regions in Germany. Unbelievable. Stay safe!
We are saying the same thing in the USA/California. We keep doing these partial lockdowns full of exemptions.
Great tutorial, I did my own lamp ;-) thanks you.
Hi Joe! this is an awesome design !
Thanks buddy
Hi! Keep safe!
HI! 👋
Hello Joe, That is awesome! It just so happens that I have a project where I need to make a lamp shade! I guess I will have to try it in Fusion 360.... Thank you for the great video! Stay safe... stay awesome! -Charlie
Hello ;-)
Once my printer build comes to an end. (Running on 2 years now)
I will most defenently make use of this guide.
Thank you so much.
And keep safe ;-)
Great video dude!! Learned a lot!
Great job!
Hi! :) Great video Joe. Inspired me to do something for my workbench lamp. Thank you and keep up the awesome videos.
As a newbie, I wish I didnt start learning shapr3d.. need to move to fusion 360...
hey Joe, I'm learning too and what you did was way awesome, buddy! I'm not going to correct you, only complimenting!, Great job well done
Thanks buddy
Nice video, I like your ways and ideas of home improvement very much and the way you present it is awesome. Keep up the the good work and stay safe. Greetings from Bavaria.
Thanks buddy
Hi Joe 🖐 keep up the great videos this was very helpful to me 😁.
Which 3D printer are you using? Is that satisfying with quality or Do you know any other models with much better quality ? Please tell me. THANKS
I got to thinking maybe this shade will project some prison bar-like shadows to give that authentic lockdown experience LOL
haha too true
can we make the same part through other traditional manufacturing techniques.
Hi! Great work looks fantastic 👍🏻
Thank you :)
Great video Joe 👍
Thank you :)
Awesome!
That shade you printed a the end made me hungry as it looks like chocolate.
Have you tried combining this with lithophanes to create planetscapes or star scenes? I might have to give that a go...
Hi! You do a great job! I really appreciate your work.
Thanks buddy
Excellent video Joe. I appreciate you sharing your knowledge and skill. I always learn something new. If you get a chance would you please do a review video on the Zaribo 420. Thanks
hi :)
i like how you thematize designing and printing things your household benefits from. compared with me you are a master in using fusion. half the clicks i try don´t work and i take close looks on how to achieve complex designs :)
Stay safe and well all
hey, i like it
Hi Joe, Nice work! I wish I could do that with Fusion 🤦
Just takes a bit of practice :)
Hey Joe - awesome project!! Big Thumbs Up! :-) Also, a quick side note/question: remember way back when you did your phenomenal mural on your wall and you had all of us help with each piece, I think you mentioned that you were going to make a video of superimposing all the numbers of the pieces over top of the hanging mural so we could all see what piece was ours. Did I miss that or did you not make it yet? Just curious, :-) If you did make that and I missed it, which vid was it? Anyway, thanks huge for all the good work and advice you've been giving over the years!! Kevin
Cool vídeo! 😎
I'm leaving a comment to let you know I saw the video. It does feel more motivating to purse video projects if you are sure you have an active audience. And yes, especially in this niche/hobby there are a ton of socially awkward know it alls.
Saying Hi :-).......... Btw you are using LED Lamps right ? you don't want those awesome shades deform if using PLA, greets from Home Office in Germany
Hi!!!!👋👋
Hi!!!
Hi,
Brother can i know what type of filament you used to make the light shader
Fantastic design! Can you post the stl?!
how did u click on the faces to make the shell of the body? mine wont allow me to click anywher :((
Hey, Joe, how are you? Enjoying the voluntary lockdown? :) Just wanted to ask (since there aren't many reviews on RUclips so far), what do you think of the Anycubic Predator? Great idea, by the way, looks gorgeous.
I keep forgetting you guys have the same electrical setup as the uk :D
Advantages of being a colony ;)
@@3DMakerNoob I saw the light fitting and thought "it recognise that, it's the same basic fitting in half of the houses in the UK!" ;p
Have you seen the Prusa face shield project?
Cool to see your process and approach modeling your lamp shades! I just did my own very first 3D-printed lamp shades (see video on my channel). Just subbed to you and looking forward to more from you :) Take care!!
Hey dude!
HI! 👋
Cool little project & tutorial. PETG to handle the lamp heat?
I used PLA because the heat emitted by the LED lamp was not high enough to effect it
Hi Joe! Love jour video's! Now you're at home there might be some time for more livestreams😁? Love the streams, just to have some interaction with you and the others! Greetings from Belgium! And please stay safe with you wife and doughter...
Yep, there will be more stream coming up this week for sure :)
Hi!
Good job LED blub. How long have you been using Fusion 360, you make it look so easy.
Consistently, i'd say about a year. started 3 years ago doing small trinkets
Where did you get the lamp kit?
I had a lot of stuff I’d been meaning to print anyway, so to me it’s not to big of a deal
Thanks for what you do for the community. enjoy all your content.
Just one question what are your prusa slicer support setting?
If you don't mind giving them out.
I'm new to prusa slicer.
I use stands settings usually. most of the time though i reduce the temperature of the filament which makes it easier
@@3DMakerNoob sorry but what is stands settings? I don't see it in prusa slicer.
That is a great idea. I just got my first printer a couple days ago. I got an Artillery Sidewinder X1. Do you still like you're WhamBam flex plate? And where do you post your live streams schedule?
Still love my whambam, no schedule is set for live streams. i usually post reminders here a day or two before
i dont ve fusion ... can i get .stl file sir?
Can i borrow that file :)
Hi
Can we print your file
Do you put it on thingiverse? I’ve been playing with a lampshade like that for a couple of weeks and no matter what I do it looks like shit when it’s done. Everything else I print looks fine. Would like to test with your model if you don’t mind 😉
Hi... tajba Joe
