    I was on 50 , 30, and 20. I left the hospital 168 lbs and now I’m past 200. The hardest part is to get some sleep. Recently, I started tampering again. Lately, I can’t stop sleeping. It’s exhausting. Nobody understands..it’s hilarious how most thinks it’s their business to tell me to go diet. Have them try to go on prednisone..🧐🧐

    Thank you for making this video. I gained 10kg since I had kidney transplant. What worked for me is intermittent fasting, exercise, plant-based diet (no or minimal salt). I prepare my food and control the ingredients. Will try your suggestions!

    I am happy I came across your video - I will share it will friends who need this information. I was on another corticosteroid medication that made me gain some weigh which I lost after stopping it, so I know exactly what you're talking about. I like your positivity, you are very charming, so I am sure you would always look great regardless of your weigh changes. You are absolutely right - our value is not determined by our weight. Good luck!!!

    I have been on them consistently for 4 years for Rheumatoid Arthritis and I have been trying to resolve the water weight once I realized that prednisone causes your body to retain water. I am going to definitely try the dill pickles everyday for 1 month to see what happens. I am going to start fixing a container of water with the lemon, ginger and cucumbers to see what happens. Thank you so much for sharing this! I will be back to share my results by May 15, 2022.

    Dealing with a immune disorder I just recently spent over a month on 60mg. Still working myself down. I focused this time on high protein and high fiber carbs (moderate carbs) daily exercise to keep muscles from weakening. While at the gym I hit the sauna (Dr approved) it's help me keep the water weight in check. This has been my best pred cycle (38 male) weight will happen but our health is most important.

    I had gotten down from 279 to 175, and kept it off for 5 years. Until Prednisone. Now I am back at 201 at the doctor today. It is so tough when the seasons change and none of my clothes fit but old leggings and an ex boyfriend's old sweatshirt 🙁

      On hc or Prednisone? I have Addison's which means my Adrenal glands don't work. I'm on 20mg of hc . I also have Sjogren's and diabetes. I'm trying to lose weight because I'm over 100 lbs over weight. I eat healthy try to get the water down. It's difficult drinking that much. But I'm trying. I just joined WW plan. Hoping I can get some exercise.

    Thanks for this, you look great considering the length of time you have been on Pred. I have Crohns disease and been flaring for a month, now on 40mg for three weeks and moon face is manifesting itself. I am going to start the water, ginger, lemon/maybe lime as well and cucumber regime. It's not even a horrible thing to drink. Then I am going to get off my backside and start walking at least 5km per day. Lets see how things go.

    Im really confused, a pickle has almost 400mg of salt in it per spear, I'd say thats SUPER high in sodium.

    • @funnycalicocat3690
      @funnycalicocat3690 2 года назад +1

      Of course, if anything, it will make things worse. But I think she meant that she avoids salt and when she craves too much she east pickles, but I don't think this has any relevance to what she was originally trying to say, which is how to reduce water retention.

      @@carahrichardson9588 Right, what I am really saying is that pickles are a low (or no) calorie snack. When I am on high doses of prednisone I want to snack on EVERYTHING which doesn't help with weight gain.

    OMG I wish I only gained 20 lbs., I was never more than 112 lbs., until I think I was about 63 I got mononucleosis in France and that started my taking Prednisone then I got sick with rheumatoid arthritis and just today after 5 months on prednisone I gained 70 lbs., and I don't and never did eat a lot. So, I'm running to the grocery store and getting a cucumber, I have all the other stuff and thanks so much for the info!

    I was diagnosed with lupus 3 1/2 years ago. I was an amateur heavyweight bodybuilder before the lupus. My normal weight was 250-320 lbs. Since being on prednisone I have gained 100 lbs. But my biggest issue my high blood pressure, joint pain, and shortness of breath. I don’t care about losing weight for other people. I’m trying to lose weight to stay alive for my family. What can I do?

    I was put on a Prednisone Pk 2Mos ago & went from 110Lbs to 145Lbs in a Little over a Week! I had NO IDEA Steroids could do this!! My Sister's Wedding's in July & can no longer fit in my Dress! All my Weight is causing my Stomach & Intestines to Bulge out really Uncomfortably & my Thighs are now Rubbing together!!! I turn 40yo next Month, which isn't helping anything. I don't fit in ANY of my Clothes & have been stuck in Sweats & Stretchy Capris. I'm Miserable! I'm going to Fit in that Dress if I have to Starve myself. I'm trying not to Let the # on the Scale Define me, which it's really not, it's how Sluggish & FAT I Feel/Look. To Boot, since the 1Wk Prednisone Pk, I just had BloodWork done & my Glucose, A/G Ratio & LDL Cholesterol is High! Why wouldn't any of my Drs or the Pharmacist let me know that Steroids could do this BEFORE I started taking it? That's what has my Hackles up the Most!!
    I'm going to try your Water Concoction & see if that helps the Discomfort in my Stomach & Intestines, bc that's where it's most Uncomfortable!! Thanks so much!!

      2-3 times a day, but it depends on your underlying conditions. Some of us can't tolerate large amounts of fluids, some of us need extra fluids. Some pickle juices are really salty and can cause more water retention 🤷‍♀️ Gotta mess around with it and find what helps you.
