It has been a wilderness retreat for me which has deepened my prayer and Christan meditative practice. The works of John Main have been a great and helpful influence.

Just wanted to say that I greatly appreciate your work here. I'm currently doing some work on the desert fathers at Aberdeen and found this lecture extremely accurate and inviting.

It's really nice to live in the desert, but we don't have desert so far. We stay in isolated place but full of dangers.

I am an ordinary member of the flock. I was attacked by demons and the Tempter I read and put into action the Sayings of The Desert Father's
How they enabled me to amend my life, discover imperfections that could lead a soul to hell. I read and review these sayings every day. The most difficult thing is to talk to someone who does not relate displeasure at something or someone. The Desert Fathers would refer to this type of individual as a visible devil. The Shepard would compel the individual who said negative things about another to leave at once.he would add "I will not have a visible devil present as well as an invisible one.
I pray my testimony will inspire one person to assimilate the Sayings of the Desert Fathers. They have the in them the way to defeat The Devil.
