That's a lot of detailed, tedious work, with quite a bit of ingenuity thrown in. I am very impressed, sir! Having worked on similar equipment in the past, I would have gone so far as to change a belt or replace a motor, but this was _way_ above and beyond my patience and sanity. Amazing I love the Sony FH range, I had an FH7 Mk3 in the 1980s and I have just purchased an FH11 on Ebay to restore
19:56 Speed alignment must be done with a calibrated test tone tape and an oscilloscope to check the frequency. Not just by hearing.
Same goes with the azimuth!

I would have never believe that a cassette deck restauration makes so much view. I thought they was completely dead since the mp3 standard but they seems to be immortal. Like vynils.
Yes brother I agreed with you .because I am also an electronic engineer I am also doing very difficult restoration work.resently I have done a sharp 1983 cassette deck with Bluetooth and Dolby atmos sarround sound.

Amazing all the transformation we have gone through changing all those mechanical parts to digital, the Tape recorder there is an example of fine mechanics and a blend with electronics, the moving tape was actually the Memory of the whole system, ironically speaking not so long ago, I do really hope to see more advancements and revolutions over the next years before I say good bye to this world. Quite a great amount of pieces were dedicated to the fine and accurate transport and movement of the tape through the whole mechanism to be read by the play back and recording head

Great video, I nearly laughed out loud when i saw that there was an ordinary rubber band on there as the tape counter belt.
as a whole. the mechanism and in its parts has some specialized function, rubber bands were to insure a constant flow of the tape, the electric motor does not run smooth and even so the robber helped to "muffer" those vibrations

excellent ! very very patient work, I admire you, I have friend from Vietnam and I know there perfection ! really appreciate people restoring, I have two of this Casette deck, repaired by a clever man like you ! what the difference between the 15R and 150R ? I think it's the remote ? or power speakers.
2 cái bánh đà sơn màu vàng lên nhìn pro hơn hẳn :))) với lại thời đó cái đầu cassette mà vỉ mạch của nó đã thấy thích rồi, nhìn thì thấy tụ với các biến trở có thể lão hoá theo thời gian nhưng đến giờ dùng vẫn tốt, hay thật
