I did not rearrange it, just added an orchestral sound. The original piano remains the same. When I was young was very impressed by Variations and Fugue on a Theme by Mozart by Max Reger - this work is in the repertoire of the most famous orchestras in the world and it is a composition over the same Piano Sonata K 331. There is nothing about 'improving' the piece, just about adding a new breath to something already established. I suggest you to listen to Max Reger an let me what you think :)
Now do the rest of the sonata. I'd be excited and curious to see how you pull off the 1st and 2nd movements, considering the first is a Theme and Variations, and the 2nd is a Minuet and Trio.
Georgii Cherkin I really appreciate you sharing your performances here on RUclips. You're my favorite pianist, and you've inspired me to be a pianist myself. I own a grand now, and I'm playing difficult classical pieces. Most ones you've done in the past since I love them so much! Thank you again for inspiring me, and making my world of music brighter.
This is a great performance! I played this in my school and everyone clapped and cheered. That was in a competition but they still didn't believe the winner. They said I was the winner. But this is my favorite Mozart piece.
Thank you very much! Actually the new thing here is the orchestra, since this piece was never performed before in such formation and I was curious to know people's oppinions about this version. I am happy that you liked it :)
I love to watch your hands dancing over the keys! ❤❤ Graceful and precise! I am so grateful for my hearing to be able to experience this beautiful music.
It's a good question. Actually the performance required me a lot of concentration, but after the end I already immediately felt relaxed, so I could also smile after the succesful performance :)
I usually resist any changes to a piece composed for solo piano, especially by Mozart, but this grew on me the more I listened to it, and I actually quite like it. The orchestral treatment gives it a nice, atmospheric quality.
Since finding this genius I can't stop listening and looking at his hands and how presicise the movements are having been music player myself I'm now 84 in a nursing home and I get a lot of pease from your music 🎵
I seldom get the impression and idea that a musician such as yourself, Maestro Georgii Cherkin, conveys the original song and message to the audience in such a way as you just have. You are simply astonishing and I'm grateful to have been able to listen to your music. Thank you and God bless you. You are an inspired being whom God must be very proud of.
Ikr. God giving everyone numerous skills and talent long before people are born but only some select few choose to enhance the musical talent God put in them... Wanna play like this some day
Did you know that Mozart wrote this for us Turks ? This gives me extra chills. And your fingers are soooo magic,Man. You give the song a soul. It was breathtaking congrats
The thing I love about this arrangement is that it ALMOST resembles a concerto, but the original piano part is the most important throughout. Thank you so much!
Perfect synchronization of all parts and display of beautiful technique! Think Georgii enjoyed playing this just as much as Mozart did! What a timeless delight! Enjoyed!
I don't understand the fascination with LangLang, I mean he is great of course but he is way too fast for many classic songs I listened to. Georgi is far more enjoyable to listen to:))
I'm sure some music theorist/classical music scholar will call me basic for saying this, but this is one of my favorite pieces. It just makes me smile.
Thank you for your comment! Actually I did it with the risk to be critisized from all over the world :) Yes, there is some influence from Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninoff that I have. The piano part is just the same and the orchestra adds slightly romantic touch to the piece mainly in the principal theme. There are some conservative people who do not like it and think that the world should remain just the same with no changes at all ;)
Strange that the worlds most famous Bulgarian pianist comment box is empty and I was a luck boy to write a comment here to my inspiration guy Love u sir 😭❤️❤️ Big fan from India
How could I hate you ;) You are right, the orchestra part is just support for the piano. My intention was the original piano part to remain the same with a very delicate orchestral colors. Thank you for your comment :)
Thank you! That's really a very interesting point of view. Music can be surely described using colors and Purple is really more suitable for the music of Tchaikovsky or Chopin. As you probably know Scriabin had a great influence of color..
Dear Georgii, You have got a very deserved applause for this echanting piece. This is a very special and breathtaking performance. Rob, Claudia, Lasse, Larissa and Yentl
@@GeorgiiCherkin I just booked a flight to Vienna in March 2023. If you have a concert in the area, please let me know, I'd love to see you play in person.

Very happy arrangement with oschestra. The feeling of lightness and light is fully kept, and even something else is added - something distinguished and delicate indeed.Your piano part is simply magnificent. I think Mozart likes it. Mozart always was an innovator. I guess his spirit is aware of everething as to music and continues with his creation even now. Bravo!!!

As always, an excellent and creative interpretation. Thanks very much and thanks for keeping the integrity of the piano part intact and accentuating it with the orchestral backup.
