And this is what happens when you go to a tournament after years and years of learning how to fight with a longsword against another longsword and suddenly find out that the most relevant experience you have is that one time you spent half an hour messing with your mate who has a rapier. I wonder how many people went like "Welp, I had plans and strategies and now all I have in my head is modem dialup noises and error messages."
@@konstantin3374 unfortunately I can't remember and the rules have been deleted, but I know one handed strikes were weighted fully like two handed strikes. One of the tournaments, I can't remember whether it was Rapier or Longsword, ran the "Nordic" style which weighs actions based on target hit rather than tempo based (like seen in rulesets with afterblows)

There was a 1100g "longsword" around, and people were talking trash about the 1250g Sigi Light being unrepresentative of an historical longsword. Bet you can practice smallsword with that thing. Going to a tournament to get meme'd on is only worth it if you make it into a Gallachad video.
