For those who has Lenovo laptop, there is a small slide bar just above the camera. Make sue it is slide to the right to open the camera lens. Also you can try to press the "F8" key to see if that is the cause.

Pointing out that there was a function key on my laptop's computer that disabled the camera. I pressed that and - Hey! Presto!!. Thank you for guiding me towards the solution.
