Windows > Device Manager> View > Show hidden device > Camera > Right Click >Properties > Driver > Uninstall Device > Ok > Close all tabs and restart the device.
Windows > Device Manager>Scan for Hardware Changes

Unfortunately, none of this works for me.
Even with hidden files viewable, there is no camera option. I tried scanning for new hardware but still nothing.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled Windows Camera, nothing.
I tried the steps by Justin Francis but there only folder with drivers has no option to setup.
Also, no switch or button that seems to lock the camera.
I'm so done with this.....

I just went through a million of these videos and it ended up being a camera button right next to my power button was accidentally turned off….. I didn’t even know there was a camera button 🤦🏼‍♀️ I feel dumb but maybe I can help someone else from wasting hours on this

If you still have this problem, look if you have a switch on your laptop case which turns on/off a camera. If you don't, try to look for a camera icon on f1-f12. Press fn + this button and it will work.
