- I drove 6 hours for seashells and it was awesome! I'm always excited to check out a new beach, but when I get to check out a new beach AND find a bucket list shell for me - well, it just can't get any better than that.

As I gazed upon the shores of Juno Beach, a peculiar absence caught my eye -But I can explain....Once upon a time in the undersea world, lived a Lightening Whelk named Ziggy. His shell was plain and drab, and for years, he had secretly admired a beautiful female whelk named Zaggs . But Ziggy never thought he was good enough for her, believing his dull shell would never catch her eye.To his surprise, Zaggs was captivated by Ziggy's lively spirit and warm heart, not paying much attention to his plain shell. However, Ziggy, wanted to make a lasting impression, and he told her about a grand painting party organized by the Seastars and how they were known for their skills in decorating the seabed and empty shells with beautiful patterns. Intrigued by the idea, Zaggs agreed to join him at the party...and at this party the Seastars painted Ziggy's shell with mesmerizing patterns, turning it into a spectacular work of art. Inspired by Ziggy's transformation, other Lightening Whelks joined the grand painting parties held all over the reef and the Seastars adorned their shells with creativity and passion.Word of the magical painting parties spread beyond the coral reef, and soon, even creatures from distant parts of the ocean wanted to get in on the action. Each whelk chose their own unique patterns and colors, reflecting their personalities and interests. Some preferred bold and bright designs, while others opted for delicate waves of gentle colour. As the sun set over the horizon, the painting party turned into a jubilant celebration. The ocean was filled with laughter, music, and dancing, as the whelks proudly displayed their newly decorated shells. The Seastars happily traveled far and wide, bringing their artistic talents to all the Lightening Whelks who wished for enchanting markings.Meantime with his newly decorated shell, Ziggy wooed Zaggs with laughter and joy, sharing stories of their underwater adventures and dreams. Zaggs saw beyond appearances, recognizing the beauty of Ziggy's soul and the love that filled his heart. And as they swam together, their love blossomed like the coral gardens. The two Lightening Whelks became inseparable, their love as vibrant and enduring as Ziggy's spectacular shell. The rest of the Lightning Whelks are still partying. Sometimes, the most extraordinary wonders hide in the deep ripples of the ordinary. :)
"Sometimes the extraordinary wonders hide in the deep ripples of the ordinary." Brilliant! I l love the thought of all the shells having a big painting party!
@@SWFBeachLife Tomorow I'm going to the shelling hotspot of Croatia, the town of Zukve. It will be a long trip but so worth it
@@markokostelac7282 Possibly some Cowries or a Wentletrap ..exciting :)
@@SWFBeachLife lol.. yeah.. they make a big splash in the art world. ( i know its corny but its all I got right now ) :)
How happy and merry they all must've felt dressed up with their new shells!! Being a diver and seeing this going on while hiding behind a rock, would've been so unbelievable!! Thank you for this beautiful tale of ocean beauty!!💗💗💗
SHELL FRIEND!!! I loved this episode. I am so happy that you found multiple Imperial Venus Clams - your excitement is contagious! This was an amazing trip, and that water... so calm and beautiful.
Thank you also so so much for the amazing shout out!
💙🐚
I love you both! Very much enjoy others, too, Beach Bummin’ Dad and a few more…love you all. You are saving my nerves…adrenal insufficiency disease is remedied better by coastal foraging for me that anything else. Take care my friends, and thank you so much for sharing. There is no RX for stress like what you do. 🏝🏖
I watched your East Coast video and you were so calm. I would have been FREAKING OUT to get the scotch bonnets and lions' paws and sundials - you KILLED IT! I'm still waiting for my excellent East Coast Day. I'll have my day eventually! 😃 And happy to give a shout out to a fellow shell enthusiast!
@@SWFBeachLife You both have done some great shelling in SE FL, and hooked me up with one of my favorite shelling destinations/areaa ever!
Yours was the first channel I subscribed to just over a year ago. I get excited to see what you've found but I feel so relaxed by the end of the video. I live in Washington state so don't have the opportunity to shell as you do. A few years ago I joined my sisters for a trip to Emerald Isle, South Carolina. We stayed in a house on the beach. Watching your adventures brings back memories of the wonderful week we had.
I love this!
I somehow missed this 2 months ago. How could I miss this wonderful trip to Juno. So many bucket shells. Loved it! I ❤❤❤😊😊😊
Oh this was a good walk! That first imperial venus clam sighing was so awesome!
Love your beach videos, thanks for sharing 💞🐚🏖
Thanks for watching!
Omg!! So excited, this is my home territory! I love the giant bittersweets, the thorny oysters, and the imperial Venus clams I love! I’m so glad you got so many. Honestly I’ve gone out in the winter and found literally no shells. I feel spring and summer is our season on the east coast. So glad you were here !!! 🤗🐚🐚🐚🐚
We are neighbors!
This is my hometown too!!!
Really?? Spring and summer you say? Well, then I'll be back next Spring. I was beyond jazzed at all the goodies I was finding. Plus seeing a new beach is always a treat!
I would have collected about 50 lbs of those shells!! Daytona has crummy and/or broken shells.
I started combining my exercise of boring long beach walks, with the distraction of shell and rock hunting. This has really turned me into a shell maniac! Great video!
I can not just walk on the beach without looking down and picking up about a million things to look at - LOL! Welcome to the shell maniac club!
19:01 next to that lion's paw, I thought that was a scotch bonnet for a second - the 2 clam shells on top of each other
Aw man I would be bummed to miss one of those!
What a fantastic time on the East coast ! The beach has been amazing I loved all the beautiful imperial clams, the lion’s paw, the sundials and olives ! And we can’t forget about the adorable little ghost crab ! So much fun ! 🏖️🐚🦀
SO MUCH FUN! These East Coast trips can go either way and I'm happy it was in my favor this time!
@@SWFBeachLife I looked at my shells that I found last year in Cuba and I actually have an imperial venus clam ! I was very happy to finally know what kind of shell it is ! I thought the shells you found in this video are very similar to the ones I find in Cuba 🐚☺️🏖️
@@marie-sophie4 I want to go shelling in Cuba so bad!!!
@@SWFBeachLife I am going back in 2 months I will let you know if I find any nice shells 🐚🏖️😎
Your enthusiasm is energizing and your shell knowledge elucidating! Thank you for the virtual shelling trip! Loved it!
You've done a magnificent job of representing Juno Beach here. Beautiful video. We live next to that pier and the path you took to find your shells is one of our favorites also. Great job on finally finding those imperials! Very happy for you to find something on your bucket list! Such a cool shell. We just recently did the 4am drive in the opposite direction to hit the gulf coast at sunrise and we certainly appreciate your efforts to get here early and create such great videos. Thank you for everything you do for the shelling community!
I get a lot of recommendations and I am so glad that I went when I did. I had a ball! The last time I went to the East Coast the most exciting thing I talked about was the shark I got to see from the John McArthur boardwalk, so I've experienced great days and nothing days. I was THRILLED to finally hold one of those imperial venus shells. I know we all kind of collect our own way and I like finding my own shells. 😃
Super great adventure! Thank you for taking me along. I loved it! See you next week, unless I watch it again tomorrow! LOL😂
🥰
Lovely array of shells today...thanks for sharing. Also love watching Solace in Shelling.
Incredible shell finds!! What a trip! ❤
Lots of orange for you on this beach. It's wonderful to share your enthusiasm! What a fun trip! Thanks for getting up at such an early hour for us.
What a GORGEOUS Imperial Venus clam! I’d be dancing a jig on the beach! And then the lions paw! I am thrilled when I find an old olive and even broken sand dollars. Glad you had a great trip. Totally worth the drive!!❤TN Nana
I hope you have a wonderful time!
Thoroughly enjoyed this trip to the beach!!! Loved seeing such gorgeous shells. Thanks for sharing!
Yeah, so glad you were able to find those Imperial Venus Clam shells! 😊 Love those and the lace Murex and horse conchs and Florida fighting conchs and crown conchs and...😊 I just love them all! Sure wish I was able to get out there and shell again! Blessings and have fun!
Thank you for the beach trip!!! I enjoyed being with you on the East Coast. You never disappoint!❤
❤️🙏🏼
The imperial Venus clam shell that is crack use a large nail clipper to clip that piece off. ❤😍 Beautiful and interesting finds!! I love your videos!!
Oh my gosh, the Imperial Venus Clams are incredible! And, the Lions Paw, wow. Thank you so very much for taking us along. ❤
Hi Sharmon!! Oh my gosh! Love any bittersweet clams but those Imperial Venus Clams were awesome! And yes , you know I squealed when you found your Lions Paw!!!! So instead of a day trip from Marco I am coming down a day early down the east coast to Juno. I cannot wait. I love any shells but it's so fun to find them different than what you normally find. My bucket list Lions Paw and Imperial Venus better be waiting for me, lol!! Have a great week!!
I'll be sending you good shell vibes! Good luck!!
That must have been an amazing trip and I am so happy you got your bucket shells
" Oh Juno, you shouldn't have" 😂 That moment was so sweet and funny 😂❤
I LITERALLY thought that when I was on the beach finding those awesome shells!
I am so jealous of the Lion's Paw, that shell has been on my bucket list for years. Great trip to my coast, just quite a bit farther south. Thanks Sharmon, stunning shells!
My heart stopped when I saw my first imperial clam. Man when the East Coast is good, it's GOOD!
Absolutely loved seeing the variety of shells from other locations! You had me looking like crazy for the IMPERIALS . Wonderful video …… can’t wait till next week ❤
I think what you are calling sundials are actually worn long spine star shells. When you turned them over, they lacked the staircase umbilicus. Google images of the long spine star shells, and I believe you will see those are the shells that you found. I can't attach a photo to show you. Happy shelling!
Thank you! A few other shellers, much more familiar with the East Coast have corrected me as well. I'll be more careful next time!
My home beach! It was definitely good to you; so happy you had such great luck!!
I was so happy it was not time wasted in the car! 🤣
CONGRATULATIONS ON FINDING ALL THOSE IMPERIAL CLAMS!!!! Yes those one shells do remind me of Carmel Candies. THANK YOU FOR TAKING US ON YOUR WEEKLY ADVENTURES.
I've been collecting sea shells most of my life. I've learned a lot about shellswatching you. Love the yellow and orange scallops. Thank you.
Thanks for taking us to east coast. The sand looks dirty compared to Sanibel. Love the markings on the Giant Bittersweet clams. I could pick them up all day and fill a bowl
What a great trip for you! The water seemed so calm, especially for the Atlantic, you really hit the perfect day. Congratulations on the Imperial Venus Clams, I enjoy Solace in Shelling too. Actually the entire haul is fabulous!
I was just happy the trip wasn't a bust, then to find those bucket list shells was so fun!
What’s Great Day to find so many of your bucket list shells. Thanks for sharing. ❤
Always fun to see something different! That water looks so calm and clear for the Atlantic! Always peaceful tho! I’m especially a jealous of those little pieces of sea glass you found! They are so beautiful!!
I recently had a pretty epic sea glass experience. Can't wait to share!
Your new Imperial Venus shells do have great color and size, too (for a smaller shell)!! Very nice!
Next time you head to east side you have to hit chastain beach (Hutchinson island) just 2 weeks ago it was 3 inches deep of shells a mile long!!!
When we have shells on our beaches in South Palm Beach County, I almost always find sundials, so don't give up on Boca Raton beaches, you might try south inlet county park. Thank you for another fun beach exploration! Judy from boca
Thanks Judy! South Inlet Park is only 2-1/2 hours from my place, so I can shave down that 6 hour drive to 5 hours for an East Coast trip.
I have written this location down! Thank you!
This was a fun adventure! Great shells and a new beach! Thank you for taking us along.
Ah, Juno. Whenever we visit Florida that is where we usually put in our beach time. It's convenient, not too crowded, and has a generous amount of free parking on top of being just a beautiful place in general. I was born nearby so that makes the area extra special.
This was my first trip and it won't be my last. I really enjoyed the beach there and I was beside myself with glee with the treasures Juno provided!
Wow great finds...love the lions paw THANKS for bringing us along. ❤
Sand this is why I love your channel. You get so excited, like i do, which means you love shelling. I could almost feel your excitement. Thank you
Another fantastic video today! Love, love the bucket list shells! Your enthusiasm and knowledge make every trip with you a total joy! Thanks!😘
That was the greatest, hearing you find bucket list shells!!The lions paw I would never guessed that's what it was. I thought it was just a dark clam.😂
What a great day!! So very excited for you, awesome!! I hope you're having a fabulous week and we'll see you at Sanibel!!😊🐬
I was SO excited to find those shells! Thank you for coming to the beach with me!
I’ve been following you for quite a while now and I need to thank you for the education and peace you have given me. Your voice is soothing and your knowledge inspires me to get more shell books! Can’t thank you enough!!!!
Thank you so much! I love inspiring people to get out there and find some joy!
Hi Sharmon,
I've been to Juno beach once, but that was the French Juno beach.
A little bit different atmosphere than the beach you've visited. 😢
But wow!!! Did you found some amazing shells!
I'm so happy for you! 7 Imperial Venus Clams!! A Shiney Auger and a Lions Paw 😍 What a fantastic finds! And I love the "candy" shells and kittenpaws, even though they are very common.
You really had a fantastic day! But being up at 4 a.m.......😱 Don't think I could do that.
Dear beachfriend, Thank you for taking us with you on this amazing trip! I hope you have a wonderful week, filled with love and happiness!
As always, sending you lots of love and a big hug! Xoxo ❤, Ilona
I have to admit that I wasn't ever a morning person, but there is something so sweet about being awake with the critters and the world is quiet and still with anticipation of what the day will bring. All that plus I wanted to get to the beach early 😃 I was a little worried as the last time I tried a summer East Coast trip it was pretty much a bust, but this time I was rewarded, several times over. It was so fun. I hope you are okay and I'm sending you love and hugs from FL 🌴
A long time ago back in the 1990s I went fishing at Jupiter beach. I used to live in Cocoa but had moved to Tampa in 2001. But I found an unusual shell called the Spanish Helmet. It was blonde in color. I also went to Titusville to the Merritt Island Wildlife National Seashore. I went before sunrise one morning and found a 5 inch Alabaster Lacy Murick Shell with a pink interior rolling in a wave. I went to grab it and it was empty. What a find. I love those but to find one so big. I also found an 11 inch Lightning Whelk but it was broken and Gray in color. I still brought it home. I still love your show. Nothing has changed. I am exercising my legs so I can do some walking soon. But I am limited for now.
Finding some of these shells is so special. I'm glad you have so many wonderful memories finding your treasures!
Wow wee, what a day🎉 would've loved to be there today. So many great shells. Heard someone else, call that a wedding cake clam. It certainly does remind me of a multi tier cake. Just love them, no matter the name 🥰
A wedding cake clam - oh I love that and I can certainly see why they're called that. They're just such a neat shell.
So glad you found a bucket list shells. I loved my trip to Florida, we went with Sand Dollar Shelling to Dickman's and Kice Island found beautiful shells. I found a King conch The next day we went to Sanibel and Captiva. I found an albino fighting conch beautiful and shiny white. Can't wait for winter.
I hope you also went down to Jupiter Beach by the fishing pier. There are so many wonderful shells there as well. Checkered Bonnets, lion paws, bid fat lettered olives and tons of others. I had so much fun in June shelling Juno and Jupiter beach on a trip of Florida beaches on the East, South and South West.
I was tempted! 🤣
What fun! I loved the Ghost Crab! The Imperial Venus Clams are beautiful! Thank you!! ❤️🐚
Your squeals at the Imperials made me smile! Thanks as always for sharing your joy!
Wow, that is a BIG and NICE imperial Venus clam!!! Wow! The first one I found (near there in West Palm) was only about 1/2 inch. Congrats!!!
It's a great feeling to find a big one!
Hello, dear Beach Angel! I'm so glad to see you having so much fun! You deserve it!
The east coast gets a lot of cool shells from the Gulf Stream, at least in places.
There will be some different shells for you to find, anyway, (I hope).
I like the pretty Spectral Bittersweets, as they do look like a piece of candy that Grandma might have in her pocket. My own beloved Grandmother kept lemon drops tied in the corner of her kerchief for me. She always carried pretty, lacy handkerchiefs and now that I'm "of a certain age", I carry them, too!
Oh, that shell is so pretty, the Red Brown Ark. What a lovely auger! I like those, as when you look close, they're amazing!
Wow, the Thorny Oyster is pretty and the Frond Oyster is very pretty, too. That little tiny scallop is beautiful and sooo tiny!
The Spectral Bittersweets look like sunrises are captured on their shells.
That Frond Oyster is so delicate! The Giant Bittersweet is very pretty! I am really digging the oysters over there!
Thanks for the Atlantic Beach Time. I've never hung out on that coast except on Amelia Island, at Saint Augustine. Amelia is my middle name, so I like to chill there.
Okay, the little Venus Clam looks like a Model A Ford next to the Intergalactic beauty of that Spectral Bittersweet!
Meowza! An Imperial Venus Clam! It looks like it's wearing a puffy coat! It's so freaking cool! I was hoping you'd found a Lion's Paw.
I like the Chestnut Turbans and that funky Frond Oyster with the worm tube on top!
Another Imperial Venus Clam and that one is marked! Double cool! Yes, you got the Lion's Paw I was wanting for you!!! 🎉
You've obviously done a LOT of studying to prepare for this trip! I know some of the shells, but most of them stump me completely. I would do the same thing, if I were going to Juno Beach. Heck, I'd do a refresher course if I was going to ANY beach.
Those Giant Bittersweet Clams are so pretty! They remind me of bargello needlepoint.
Sea glass too? And another Imperial Venus Clam!!! WOW!🎉🎉. Big Chestnut Turban to boot! And yet another Imperial Venus Clam!! You're going to have to be towed back to Ft. Myers like a dirigible if this keeps up, cause you'll be floating higher than cloud nineteen!
Another Imperial Venus Clam and another pretty auger! I think that's the prettiest IVC you've found today. Its dark bands really accent the ridges.
Good on you, girl, for cleaning up trash from the shore! Oh, you did get a haul today! I can't tell you how happy I am for you!
I enjoy hearing your happy, excited voice as you find bucket list shells one after the other. I live a bit vicariously through you, as to go to the beach seems as impossible as a trip to the edge of space or to the moon. Being differently abled as I am means that my world is pretty confined, but when I am able to look down a shell strewn beach, it's almost like I'm home again, walking along the shore with a dear friend.
Thank you for that, sweet Sharmon, and for all the beachy adventures you allow me and others to take with you. Never think that what you do is unimportant or not very interesting! We need you and your joy and your excitement and your vast knowledge about shells and coastal life!
You are more loved than you could guess, by each person who times in every Sunday to watch you pick up shells. You are loved, especially by me, your Lost Mermaid. Thank you for sharing your world with me.
Love to all of you from East Tennessee where the Smoky Mountains are a hundred shades of green! Be blessed, everybody!

Imperial Venus clams are just gorgeous!
Right?! I think they're just awesome 🥰
Wow!!! Spectacular day! Those imperial venus clams are super cool! And i just love any variety of oyster. So fun to share in your excitement 😊
Thank you so much 🤗
WOW! The imperial Venus clam! I am in the process, probably 2/3 of the way through, going through my shell collection. (I have lived right outside of the Pinellas County area my entire life.). I will admit that I also look for shells in the white stuff that they put in flowerbeds and parking lots in that area and I have about seven small imperial Venus clams that are basically fossilized I suppose. I never knew what they were but they are really cool, and I put them in a tiny bag by themselves! Thank you for educating me on what they are. The brand new ones are superb!!
I don't know why I'm so curious about the shells I find but I like to know what they are and what their names are. It's actually quite fun to participate in such a rewarding hobby!
I love the Imperial Venus clam! That’s also one of my favorite ever.
Very interesting seeing all the different shells over there. I do enjoy seeing the many different shells apart from the usual ones that you find. Congrats in finding the Imperial Venus clams!
* Your opening shot of honey & toast colors was so fun.. Shells in lines in places look like writing on the beach.. I need a bigger screen to stop & look for all the different shells you're showing.. Word today = VARIETY..
People who watch my videos on their phone are really missing out.
Great day shelling and yes I need to go to the east coast and fine some of those great shells, thanks for taking us to the beach, have a great week

I’m happy that you finally made it to Juno Pier Beach. It’s one of my favorite east coast beaches. When I was there in June I found a hairy triton in the water. I was as excited as you were when you found your first Imperial Venus clam.
I would have fainted if I saw a hairy triton! I wasn't sure what I was going to find but holy cow finding those imperial venus clams was fun. Really just seeing a new beach was also quite a treat!
Woohoo! Great finds!😊 I went on a shelling tour to Dickerson. It took me 4 hours to get there, but boy was it worth it! Also went to Lover’s Key and Tigertail . I was shocked how flat the water was. I got lucky this time! 🙏🏼
I’m going to the beach tomorrow and I’m so excited! It’s not Florida, but we do have moonsnails, surf clams, whelks, and more! It’s a very popular tourist spot, and it has many streets and blocks. I only found your videos a month ago, but I have learned so much in that little time! Thank you for taking me and my mom ( she loves your vids and loves shelling) on this wonderful trip to the beach!
Try to figure out what beach I’m going to! It’s not on the west coast!
Well good shell luck to you! And you'd be surprised how many people go to the beach and do not look for shells. I hope you find bunches of treasures!

So happy for you, the Imperial Venus shells are beautiful. I like them also. It was nice to see the different shoreline.🌻🐕🥰
love this video and all the shells! east coast native here and at 5:12, instead of a sundial shell, that is actually a broken american star shell, or broken juvenile long spine star shell! still so beautiful though
as well as the shell at 15:36, it is a worn down long spine star shell! 💙
Thank you!! I will be more careful with my East Coast IDs!
Hi Sharmon! I am excited to see what shells are at Juno beach on the East coast! ( :
Oh dear beach friend! Every time you found another Imperial Venus Clam, I was floored! What?! You found 6 of them! I bet you probably did walk right over them in the past because the underside looks sooo different than the top side you expected to see! ( :
Such a fun beach trip today! ( : Thank you sooo much for taking us along! ( : Have a great week. Sharmon, and I look forward to going to Daniel next week with you! ( :
How I wish I could walk the beaches of Florida seeing ALL the shells. We dont get as many different types of shells here in New Zealand or I never shelled on the right ones, Awesome thankyou
Not all beaches were created equally and the ones in Florida, USA are pretty awesome.
AMAZING finds ! Makes me want to get in the car and go to Juno beach too..4 hrs 6 mins from us also from New Port Richey Florida..and way cool it's like the way the water is at Honeymoon Island
I went back last week so we will be visiting Juno Beach again this Sunday!
I just love your enthusiasm! I've never seen those shells before! Thanks for taking us along!
I love your excitement. So fun. Glad you had fun.
Oh, you were so close to my shell pile... my daughter's find of course. They do go to Juno, but I think one in West Palm Beach. It's great to be able to be with you again. Love your walks, talks, and of course the shells! 😊
Woohoo! You found a Lion’s Paw and an Imperial Venus clam! I’m certain I saw a few Imperial Venuses on a small island off South Padre Island in February. Now I have to check my collection to see if I brought any home, I had no idea what they were!
I’m so glad you’re at Juno this week! I just spent a week in South Beach and while the shelling in front of a resort is challenging, I was able to find some things and consume a lot of pina coladas!
Ooooh! Thank you so much for sharing this trip! I am so happy for you! Finding all those bucket list shells! It was a wonderful day at the beach!
Congrats on finding the imperial Venus clam! I haven’t seen one before! Very cool
You are so awesome!
Thanks for the trip to the east coast.
What a lovely find to reward you for getting up in the middle of the night! Those olives were fat too. Juno is a good beach. Stay safe xx
So far my East Coast trips are: 2 awesome, 1 meh and 1 terrible. I definitely picked the right coast to move to!
After watching your videos back in early June I thought I'd get down to Sanibel in hopes of finding my own seahorse. It was going to entail a 4 hour drive from where we were vacationing north of Clearwater. I ended up finding one closer to our location. While we were visiting, numerous storms had come through. We knew our luck was with us. Storms generally mean lots of shells. We brought home so many beautiful pieces and my one seahorse. Had a puffer fish that had gotten stuck in a tide pool that got too hot for him. He was deceased but the criteria of keeping him puffed up...well that wasnt going to happen in during our stay. My husband did find a massive lightening whelk but she was alive so he threw her further back out so she would survive. Also some live giant cockles. We threw those back out too. No need to keep those when we had so much luck finding plenty of pieces along the beach. We also found sponges!!!
That's pretty incredible that you were hunting for a seahorse and you actually managed to find one. That's amazing! And what good timing with all the other storms so you could find other goodies. That's what makes beachcombing so fun - you never know what's going to be out there!
@@SWFBeachLife after watching you find them I was hoping for just one.
Your joy is so pure! I love it. 🥰🐚🌊☀️

I was so happy to finally find one!
