According to Chris Seavor and knowing the story of Rareware, if something in the game looks like it's an euphemism for something sexual, it most likely is.
One of my favorite games of all time. Funny enough, the Grave trick in Spooky is ancient. I remember owning the Bad Fur Day guide book, and it had sections called, "The Good, The Bad, and the Bad Fur Day." Where they gave 3 options on how to approach a situation, usually a good way, the normal way, and the terrible way. The good way was standing on the graves and shooting, the bad way was strafing in 3rd Person to get the shots, and the Terrible way was just shooting and not aiming 😂😂
I've played this game so many times but the tension of the electrified water after the haybot fight; keeping as many catfish alive while running from the dog shark; bomb carrying in unga bunga; 3 keys in spooky; it's war creepy puppet monster fight until the end; and the ending cutscenes before credits are some of the most stressful gameplay moments to this day for me. I feel the urgency and need in those situations of the game and I get so immersed. The game really changes feel for me as you leave the bullfight and learn to dive. Up until that point there's a lot of pretty nonconsensual adventuring but after that, the game really starts closing in from multiple angles of just how much danger you're in. Cog's tower is such a dingy, maze-like, foul place. Fire imps are so fucking funny though, I'll always love that boss fight. Poo mountain has a funny opera ofc but it's such a depressing place full of death and desolation. You get dark hints of beetle's friends going missing but it's also just such an...empty boss fight area. Then berri getting kidnapped is just sad :( Then once you descend the game just brings in the extra danger factors almost to a high degree- the slicing fans, the king needing him, raptors, cavemen... Then the dark theme of sacrifice.... The possibility of berri being drugged in captivity. The MOB ...bombing the caveman home Then getting mugged and forced into a raptor/caveman arena match...such a packed section to really pump up the danger. It just gets more dangerous from there and darker. I still struggle in the war ending section at times because I get so stressed but the rest of the game is pretty easy going. The ending is so impactful to me until the day though it's just such a despair filled ending. I love this game so much, I wish we would have gotten the sequel. Also, fun easter egg i don't see mentioned often: if you dont give birdy all of the beer, when you return after spooky you can give him the last beer and make him fall asleep at night, otherwise, he's still awake at night! He won't fall asleep until you give him the third beer and you can even go back after the windmill and give it to him!
Completely unrelated: I was alive 5 when the N64 came out. I didn't realize that it was only 3-ish years before the Sega Dreamcast. Which is just mind blowing to me, because looking back feels like they were way further apart.
This is one of my fav games of all time, and been bingeing your videos for the last few hours while playing stuff on emus, and see that this was posted just today. Ridiculously excited, about to go try some of these tricks now!
How I have been waiting for someone to make a video explaining the speedrun. Cannot thank you enough. I am hopeful this will bring in some new runners.
This game had sooo many old and new movie references that just made it pure gold. I run back and playthrough it often just wondering what a true sequel would be like.
The water level used to scare the shit out of me when I was younger just because of conkers face in the corner slowly getting more panicked use to scare me
Wonder how the speedrun differs from the remaster version Live and Reloaded. I personally found the remaster a lot easier than the original, though that might've been because of the control scheme going from N64 to Xbox.
Apparently, there is a way to skip blowing up the boulder in the beginning and clip through it from the top. Also skipping the cutscene with the scientist guy that introduced the chocolate. Adum from yourmoviesucks did it by accident in a playthrough.
I've had a speedrunning idea for this game for a long time! I called it Pewdiepie% where you speedrun the game going through the same route he did in his playthrough years ago! I've never gone through with it because i never beat the game casually before hehe
I remember as a kid thinking I had to beat the game without dying; save the squirrel from the electric chair; beat the game under a certain time; etc to get the good ending. After doing all of it I found out the hard way some games just don't have happy endings...
Man hearing you say you weren't even born yet at the start of this made me feel old af haha! I remember playing this as a kid than replaying it as an adult and man I missed ALOT of innuendo's (obv)
I tried speedrunning this as a kid and I gave up after the caveman chapter lol. There are great parts in this game, but equal parts that just aren't fun. Wish I had known that mansion skip back then.
i appreciate the video but you’re just telling us what he does instead of explaining anything or providing any progress points. other speedrunner youtubers do it better, please take notes man

"These Speedruns Are Wild"
> You can jump over the trigger for a tutorial move, saving 1 second.
Be still my heart, that's wild.
Oh yeah bedtime can wait
But good God, it's 3:23 am already and I've got to get up at 5.
Guess I'm calling in sick
I was going too rub one out
Fire comment
Skipping the poop song should be considered a felony

"conker is my favorite"
>doesnt know the hangover cure is putting a fizz tablet like Alka-Seltzer in that water
Fun Fact: Conkers Bad Fur Days only advertisement was in the Playboy and cost almost nothing.
So the 22k sold Units are actually quite impressive.
im pretty sure they also had some ads in gaming magazines! im sure ive seen sone when i was a kid, and we did not have playboy!
hmmmm, now that i think about it, im not so sure if it was real advertising, or just a large image next to a review or something!

I'm so relieved to see that even speedrunners struggle with timing the sunflower jump. It's astounding how finicky that particular jump is.
Thanks for featuring our community!
17:29 it's so weird that a big pile of sh*t singing an opera brings me so much nostalgia
i absolutely loved the multiplayer maps on this game. couch co-op golden years with the N64
That flower made me act up as a kid
The flowers and the bees got you acting unwise

This game had sooo many old and new movie references that just made it pure gold. I run back and playthrough it often just wondering what a true sequel would be like.
I would love for more people to run this game 😭
Is there any major diffences between Bad Fur Day and Live and Reloaded from a speedrun perspective?
The water level used to scare the shit out of me when I was younger just because of conkers face in the corner slowly getting more panicked use to scare me
So happy for a new video!

It’s supposed to :)
there are a ton of movie references in this game.

Apparently, there is a way to skip blowing up the boulder in the beginning and clip through it from the top. Also skipping the cutscene with the scientist guy that introduced the chocolate.

I've got wr for Windy 1, which has that hive throw. It's such a fun segment!
I remember as a kid thinking I had to beat the game without dying; save the squirrel from the electric chair; beat the game under a certain time; etc to get the good ending. After doing all of it I found out the hard way some games just don't have happy endings...

Mcdonaldscheeseburger
0:45-0:55 That is exactly what happened to my mom, down to the scene she walked in on
Sick thumbnail
I was about 10 when this game came out. It was insanely awesome and hilarious.
Such a shame nothing like this will ever be made again.
I see Ezscape I click
moral of the story is Conker should have stayed home with Berry...
I see conker's, I like!
Well it's still technically Halloween 🎃, let's keep it goin!
Please keep making content
He also found the Arb skip in Banjo-kazooie
I tried speedrunning this as a kid and I gave up after the caveman chapter lol. There are great parts in this game, but equal parts that just aren't fun. Wish I had known that mansion skip back then.
Rodent: Conker... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Oh hell yea
Yo Ez whehs your birthday? 🎂
W video
This is a game I've beaten.
You didn't mention diddy Kong racing that is superior to Mario kart 64
No poo song 😢
no ingame audio - unwatchable.
It would've been a better video if you skipped explaining all the story beats and just focused on the run itself
better for you, it was good for me since i didnt know the story line
@TheSabaton1 why are you interested in the speedrun of a game you don't know?
first!
This is the whitest video title I have ever seen
i appreciate the video but you’re just telling us what he does instead of explaining anything or providing any progress points. other speedrunner youtubers do it better, please take notes man
Should I be getting your parents' permission before subscribing? Didn't know you were so young. 😅
28 is "so young"?
