SPOILERS FOR VIDEO BELOW:
For the Bunni the Rabbit turning into a Zombie part, I want to clarify that in the original ending that zombie part was not a thing, and I say that in the editor notes on screen, it was a revision to the ending made by Chris Seavor.
BUT it was never confirmed that the zombie part was mixed with the Berri clearing her throat ending, I just did it for the sake of having the ending from the document, while trying to incorporate the zombie revision.
It could very well be that this zombie part did not have the Berri clone at the end at all, but it also could have and I personally believe it did. I don't want to spread misinformation or confuse anyone though, so sorry if I did with that inclusion.

30 seconds in and I stopped the vid. Yes Diddy Kong racing came out in 97. But Conkers first game was Conkers pocket tails..... that came out in 99 for the gameboy color. Do more research when you wanna cover a game. I can't watch this video because you already lack credibility. I'm out.

It would have been hard to make a game within a year before RARE got sold to Microsoft in 2002.
Would have been a sequel but it would have been on the XBox instead.

I think the ending works so much better without turning Bunni into a zombie. It implies that in the last moment just before the wedding is concluded Berry's clone was about to crush the last hope for Conker finding peace and happiness. With zombified Bunni you already know their relationship is doomed and there is no real hope to crush, so adding Berry's implied protest only adds confusion and ambiguity about her intent. Is she doing this for Conker's sake because marrying a zombie is obviously a bad idea or because she wants him to herself? Or maybe she has entirely different reasons altogether, it's just not clear or funny unless Bunny remains normal.
Yeah I get your point it kind of threw me off a little bit but when I think about it I think it's supposed to imply that even though he lost this new girl girl after a everything he went thro again just like the last that this time is going to be different even if it didn't go the way he completely planned and that's where the clone comes into a sure that he will have his bad day

Then a 3rd game called Conkers final bad day where he finally gets to do the windmill level as the final level. Opens up with him saying “there I am, conker the ruler of existence.”

Why hasn't anyone crowd funded this for rare I would love to see Conker again in all his fowl mouthed glory
One reason could be because Microsoft owns Conker. The OG Rare devs would probably love to work on it, but since they don't own Conker anymore (because they left Rare long ago) it would be really hard to make this sequel with a new IP.
Or heck maybe there's a more personal reason why the original director doesn't want to do something like a spiritual successor to Conker, you never know with these things.

@@realamericannegro977 The good news is that Chris Seavor the creator of Conker made an Indie game called the Unlikely Legend of Rusty Pup.
Basically the Conker IP is in the hands of Microsoft. I think one of three things will inevitably happen, they'll do nothing with the IP until they have to so they don't lose rights or whatever, remaster the original game again or the Conker IP dies with Microsoft. I see Microsoft remastering the original N64 without censorship more likely then a sequel simply because they'd probably wouldn't want to risk another game not doing well, hence why remastering the N64 version without censorship would work for sales compared a new story in the Conker universe.
That’s actually a more cohesive plot than what was in BFD. It sounds like more of a proper narrative with some interesting turns. Now I’m upset this didn’t get made lol
Get someone to decompile Conker BFD's rom and mod a new story in it. Good luck.

Don’t get me wrong, I love BFD and its sequence of events, but it’s really just a bunch of ideas strung together in a very loose fashion. Even the whole final confrontation and boss fight comes out of absolutely nowhere during a bank heist. It doesn’t hurt the game at all that the plot is so loose or disjointed. It’s a comedy experience after all and it manages to be consistently engaging and rewarding as an unpredictable ride. I just think the outline of the sequel’s plot sounds more focused and cohesive while having some interesting twists that would have been fairly surprising.
CBFD is a stroke of genius and it's a miracle that this game even exists.
The zombie thing was probably some petty bs from death.

In case you were unaware but Conker had his own game before Diddy Kong Racing 64 called Conker's pocket tales on Game boy color. Look it up, they basically planned on him being a cute character in a parent friendly adventure game but changed the direction they wanted to take during development for Conker Bad Fur Day
They planned Conker's Twelve Tales for the n64, but didn't made it so far.
The story, as I've heard it, is that critics thought the game was "too cute…" so BFD was a kind of "fuck you" response.

Wow, first the multiplayer game, Conker Goes Medieval and now Conker's Other Bad Day, this makes the Conker series so interesting. I don't like when giant companies buy rights of a specific game just to massacre the series and make their fans disappointed.

Oh no! This video is not a April Fools since this video was posted on December 18th 2022! It's the real scripts of the cancelled sequel before Microsoft buy/kills Rareware. But i don't want that sequel must happens like this
The plot of the first game started because the phanter king's table was missing a leg. This plot is silly, but very in line to what we got in the first game.

This was a really good video! I've known about the game's existence for a long time but haven't seen a deep dive as good as this. Not gonna lie, as a huge fan of the original the story had me on the edge of my seat lol. It sucks a true Conker sequel will probably never happen.

I remember reading that berri was gonna be akin to the terminator in the opening stage and hunt down conker during certain sequences from what I saw of the documents and tweets a couple year back, maybe it’s just my memory but I could’ve sworn her role was more akin to this

I'd love a faithful remake of BFD. Not like live and reloaded, but a remake that stays true to the original cartooney style, along with all the swearing and all the charm of the original game.

Bet if live and reloaded sold real well and a commercial hit they would have. It been awhile but I seem to recall it being blasted as inferior and unnecessary compared to the n64 version. Mean heck they updated confers look in it to what they envisioned for the sequel so wouldn’t be surprise if after the reception of it on Xbox Microsoft just canned any idea of it and moved rare to different projects.

Conker is special because it's a modern satire. Conker is only driven by money and somehow gets himself involved in criminal stuff. It's a criticism to capitalism and lavish consumerism and of course a parody to games. All Conker cares for is money and chicks and is quite a Machiavellian character were the ends justify the means (getting money at any cost), which actually makes Conker both the protagonist and antagonist of the story. However, even a person like that could still be loved and treated by all the people he met during his adventures as friends. Which makes us feel the tragedy the ending conveys, since maybe if Conker had valued his life more, he could have actually been imperfectly happy (without needing to be the Emperor of all the known universe). Lust is a deadly sin.

As a longtime Conker fan since childhood, playing my Uncle's copy from his N64 collection he handed down to me and my brother (yes, I know I shouldn't have been playing it, but whatever), this video was amazing... I had known probably like a detail or two about it years ago, so the majority of deets here were new to me. I could've sworn one such detail was of some Space Poo called Cthulpoo or something, but that wasn't anywhere to be mentioned here. Might been from an earlier draft of the story. Thank you for covering this cancelled game.
Conker *REALLY* got the shaft... he and Banjo-Kazooie deserved far, *FAR* better. But sadly, Conker's basically just a one-hit wonder.
I wish that remake Rare wanted to do of Banjo Kazooie on the original XBOX came out, and this is NOT from a Nuts and Bolts hater, I wish we had that crazy remake and Nuts and Bolts plus Conker's Other Bad Fur Day and Live and Reloaded.

This must of been one out of many different ideas they had for the sequel because I also remember one idea they had for the sequel about a rival to Conker called Honker the Skunk

This video took me back to a time where video essays were like a bit Rare (no pun intended). Im talking like 2008-2010 when RUclips had machinimas, the audio wasnt the best, and gameplay had “unregistered hypercam2”. Like it felt truly nostalgic and I wanna say thanks, you brought me back to a time where I felt like a kid again watching old n64 videos that left me thinking/wondering of the “what ifs”. Subscribed.

I KNEW THERE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A SEQUEL!!... while I would play the game regardless if it existed, this description of what it was supposed to be like really makes me wish it existed, it sounds so awesomely chaotic... this game was such a huge part of my childhood, I had a dream of a sequel, lol. With a multiplayer mode being another squirrel war, but in space, & the Panther King being a Hanzo reference from Star Wars being in a stone slab, lol. That was fun even if it was just a dream.

I’m not even gonna lie to you this was so freakin good that I was honestly surprised how well this sequel would have been. Just think about it this sequel would have probably been the best conquer sequel game or even any sequel game for a franchise like this. If this ever happens in the way of a sequel game then maybe it will possibly outdo the original. This just feels so right in the way of storytelling.

I for some reason never thought about any other character going to the underworld, or "Basement," besides Conker. And now that it's brought up, I like it being used as a plot device to have some characters return!

I do love how conker seemed to be a lot more matured in the near ending of it which is cool for character development and as much as I want a sequel I don’t know if we ever will get one in this day and age. Yea Rare may be "woke" but if I was Xbox I would have Squanch Games develop it. It'd be perfect. High On Life shows that all that crazy ish in Conker could possibly be made with the same charm and vulgarity. I think it could work. If only they'd revisit Conker.
I truly want to thank you for this video. Been a huge fan of conker since i was 5-6 years old (definitely shouldnt have been playing that game that young lmfaoo) and i been screaming for a BFD2 till this day. Always knew that it was scrapped but never heard the story or concepts behind it. Watching this video i know i would of loved OFD\BFD2 and im so glad someone went into it like this cause like you said, no one talks about it at all. Hopefully one day we get BFD2\OFD, i still have hope simply cause how amazing and unique the first one was. There isnt and never will be another game like Conker BFD hands down

The only three of those ten characters we have ever seen since Diddy Kong Racing are Diddy Kong, Banjo, and Conker. After Microsoft bought Rareware in 2002, the game was remastered on the DS in 2007 in honor of its tenth anniversary, but Banjo and Conker were replaced with Tiny Kong and Dixie Kong respectively.
As silly as the game is, that ending somehow always brings a tear to my eye. Poor Conker 😢

So I know Zombie Bunni is a revised portion of the script, but is it explained *why* she is a zombie? Or just randomly in this ending "oh yeah she a zombie now lol"

That revision is from a couple tweets Seavor made that are extremely vague in info besides the fact that she's a zombie at the end
It's such a bizarre change with not much of an explanation. I would assume that if the game were made she would've been killed during the invasion while Conker was on the moon and as a final "fuck you" from Greg he would just let her be a zombie
Yeah, I was thinking I missed something when I came to that part. My guess is that somewhere along the way, the game would work in a zombie related pop culture reference, such as a homage to The Walking Dead, in order to lay the groundwork for this plot point.

This was a fucking fever dream, drug induced story and I fucking love every minute of it. I wish this sequel came out, I wonder if a third game was also planned with that in mind knowing the Professor is apparently "safe in an undisclosed location" and Berri clone speaking up at the wedding right as it hits the credits.
This is a fucking trip and it makes me wish someone, one day, takes this information, and makes the sequel themselves, or something.

Ever since I was about 7 years old my dream has been to win the lottery and spend half of it on my family to have houses and half to making a sequel to Conker's Bad Fur Day xD realistically I'd need more money than the lottery to fund Conker but I have been wishing for a sequel since Live and Reloaded.
Edit: I just got finished watching the video and you did a great job of telling the story and editing; I never even knew the sequel was so detailed and It was awesome sounding, just like the original and it was definitely built for at least another sequel (If not more). What a writer man.
The game deserved a sequel, I mean conker does know death, I wouldn't be surprised death would make conker jump through hoops to see berri again
I love conker. I literally just replayed through the Xbox version last month.
