    Thank you for the excellent reporting. As a breast cancer survivor, I need this information. I had consulted with a doctor who encouraged a vegetarian diet and the avoidance of dairy. This reinforcement helps motivate me to minimize dairy fat. I grew up on a dairy farm and I love high fat dairy so I needed a reminder to minimize it. I love having science that supports this.

      I weaned pretty much overnight about 8.5 years ago with my wife. Within a month we both lost 25 pounds, stopped getting seasonal allergies that had plagued us all our lives, had clearer skin, better sleep, better energy & stamina, and better moods. I'm convince dairy is the worst food we can eat along with processed meat. Try going completely cold turkey, experience cravings and withdrawal effects for 2-3 weeks, and then try some high-end vegan cheeses like Miyoko's, Nuts For Cheese, or another organic brand. You will never touch the stuff again, and you'll wonder why it took you so long. At least, that's been my experience. Good luck!

Maybe, this is why people in Sardinia rarely if ever get breast cancers (they consume large quantities of sheep and goat dairy products). www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7352840/

      There's only 1 compound that has repeatedly shown by multiple teams of biochemists to have a direct effect on the death of human cancer cells.
      That is trans vaccenic acid.
      It's found in the meat and milk of ruminants.
      1. Study: Trans-vaccenic acid reprograms CD8+ T cells and anti-tumour immunity
      Publication: Nature
      Year: 2023
      DOI: 10.1038/s41586-023-06749-3
      Findings: TVA inactivates the GPR43 receptor, leading to activation of the cAMP-PKA-CREB pathway, enhancing CD8+ T cell function against tumors.
      2. Study: Trans-vaccenic acid inhibits proliferation and induces apoptosis of human nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells via a mitochondrial-mediated apoptosis pathway
      Publication: Lipids in Health and Disease
      Year: 2019
      DOI: 10.1186/s12944-019-0993-8
      Findings: TVA decreased p-Akt levels and Bad phosphorylation, leading to apoptosis through a mitochondrial-mediated pathway in nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells.
      3. Study: Trans-11 18:1 Vaccenic Acid (TVA) Has a Direct Anti-Carcinogenic Effect on MCF-7 Human Mammary Adenocarcinoma Cells
      Publication: Nutrients
      Year: 2014
      DOI: 10.3390/nu6020627
      Findings: TVA exhibited a direct anti-carcinogenic effect on MCF-7 human breast cancer cells, suggesting potential as a chemopreventive agent.
      4. Study: Trans vaccenic acid (trans-11 18:1), a precursor of cis-9, trans-11-conjugated linoleic acid, exerts a direct anti-carcinogenic function in T47D breast carcinoma cells
      Publication: Journal of the Korean Society for Applied Biological Chemistry
      Year: 2014
      DOI: 10.1007/s10068-014-0087-3
      Findings: TVA demonstrated a direct anti-carcinogenic effect on T47D breast cancer cells, independent of its conversion to conjugated linoleic acid.
      These studies collectively show that TVA can activate various molecular pathways or mechanisms that contribute to cancer cell death or enhanced immune response against cancer. The mechanisms include T cell activation, apoptosis induction, and direct anti-carcinogenic effects on specific cancer cell lines.

    Hospitals, doctors offices and schools should be places where good nutrition is taught and provided not places that contribute to disease and obesity. It is crazy the hospitals are feeding people the very food that caused the heart disease, high blood pressure or cancer that they are treating. Every person in the hospital should receive some nutrition education before being released. Every doctor visit should be an opportunity to educate patients about how food choices impacts their health outcomes. The fact that doctors do not get nutrition training as part of their training makes no sense. Medicare and Medicaid should require nutrition education as part of patient care. Focus should be on food choices. Fasting should be investigated as a treatment for disease.

      My 37 year old daughter was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year. I took her to some checkups this week and in between appointments we ate lunch in the hospital cafeteria. We were appalled by the foods on offer. Nothing was labeled as 'vegan' or 'plant-based', though there were some vegetables, white rice and salad vegetables available. Most of the dishes contained meat and dairy +/- eggs and/or were deep fried. We thought it was insane that the food provided by the hospital for staff, outpatients and visitors was the same sort of food that was making people sick and need to go to the hospital for treatment in the first place! And this is an Australian hospital. I do know that not all Australian hospital cafeterias are created equal because I recently checked out the food offerings at another hospital cafeteria and was very impressed by the detailed labels on every item (vegan, vegetarian, presence of nuts, gluten-free etc) and the wide variety of options available for people who don't consume animal products. I agree that hospitals should be providing staff, visitors and patients alike with the healthiest foods (based on scientific research).

      Yes, it can! I work for Cancer Education (a new online platform for cancer-related courses) and we just launched a course on Dietary Manipulations for Cancer. If I'm not mistaken, there are at least 7 cases cited in the course on which fasting helped a lot: 5 hematological cancers (one of them covered by Dr. Greger on another video, and probably the case your friend mentioned), one case of Thymoma, and one of Ovarian Cancer - where, although technically she was not on a water fast, she was having just 200-300 calories a day.
      Fasting can be dangerous, though: we cite a couple of cases where people got seriously ill from it. Ideally, water fasts should be done on a clinic, but they're generally expensive and rarely available (there are two famous ones, though: one in US, and one in Europe). The FMD, from Dr. Valter Longo, is probably a safer (although possibly less effective) alternative.

    As a cancer survivor and a radiation therapist who received both chemo and radiation, sometimes you have to do what you have to do. Many women/men I have treated with radiation are still alive today, even 30 years later. Same with those who received chemo. Of course there are times when chemo or radiation doesn’t cure the patient but helps make them more comfortable in the end. I’ve seen many refuse chemo and radiation and often end up coming back with metastasis for palliative treatment. Ultimately, it’s a personal choice for everyone.

      I think eating low fat whole foods and exercising or water fasting will help more versus cancer than radiology and chemo. Source, dr. Peter Rogers, dr. John mcDougall, Ruth Heidrich. Makes more sense as cancer really can't handle not getting any food, or fat or excess protein. While our own cells do very well limiting these. Dr. mcDougall also spoke of a Scandinavian study that showed no survival benefit after 10 years for people that took chemo and radiation over those that didn't. Can't find the study right now, sorry.

    Palmitic acid is a saturated long-chain fatty acid (LCFA), a term for fatty acids containing 13 to 21 carbons. Palmitic acid contains 16 carbons. This acid is found in most fats and oils, such as soybean oil. It can also be found naturally in plants and animals and created in laboratories. Palmitic acid is the most common saturated fatty acid in the human body, Palmitic acid is named after the oil palm tree.

    In January of 2O24 I received a diagnosis of Esophageal Cancer which has a low survival rate. Luckily I have no real fear of mortality. The chemo and radiation made the tumor disappear so that I could once again swallow actual food rather than just liquids.
    I then began a Cancer antagonistic food diet. But if I try and talk to my Cancer Doctors at the Rocky Mountain Cancer Center about this. They look at me like I am stupid. And then they patronize me by saying things like... "Well, I healthy diet can't hurt." It is all so frustrating.
    I just had my second post-treatment Pet Scan and I am waiting for the results to see if they will be clean again like last time. Which will tell me whether my Cancer antagonistic diet is helpful or not. It is so frustrating when Medical Doctors provide such contradictory information. Even Oncologists.

    What is the definition of Metastasis?
    Well, when I looked at the definition in my Medical Dictionary, copyright 1995, it’s not the same as what it is now. They slightly changed it. In my version, it says, it’s a transfer of a Disease-Producing Agency and they gave two examples. Now they only give one. In my copyright version, one example was a Cancer Cell - it’s transferring from one part of the Body to the other. But they also use Bacteria as a way of a Disease-Producing Agency transferring from one part of the Body to the other. Oh my God, it’s Spreading! You’ve got an Infection - it’s going to Spread! Oh my God, you’ve got a Cancer Cell - it’s going to Spread!
    I’m here to tell you folks, Cancer Cells don’t jump up and travel to another part of the Body in the same way Bacteria don’t jump up and Spread around the Body.
    You see, we’re told that Diseases Spread from one person to other and then, once we got a Disease, it can Spread from one part of the Body to the other.
    Now this is the version given by what I like to term Demonic Medicine, Satanic Medicine - people who believe that you can use Poisons to make someone Healthy. It doesn’t work, my friends, and the Cancer Cell is Not Spreading. It doesn’t go from here to there - the Disease-Producing Agency is everywhere! They don’t know what the Disease-Producing Agency is and they admit it. We don’t know! We don’t know! We don’t know! Most of the time they will openly admit we don’t know the Cause, but we know it’s Spreading!
    The Cause to almost all of our Diseases comes from our Lymph System - it’s ubiquitous - it’s everywhere! Almost every Cell in our Body is surrounded by this Lymph Fluid - it’s the Bathroom in our Body. We Eat - we Eliminate. Our Cells Eat and they Eliminate. A Bunch of Cells - 2 Fluids - Blood’s the Kitchen Feeding those Cells - the Lymph System is the Bathroom - it Cleans and Protects the Cells - it’s the Sewage System of our Body. The Blood is slightly Alkaline. Now the Lymph System is a Lipid-based, Cholesterol-based System to deal with this Acid Side of our Body. Remember, our Bodies are Alkaline by design but Acid by function.
    So what happens? Our Cells Eat and then, they Eliminate. When they Eliminate, they’re Eliminating at 3 pH - that’s 50,000 times Hotter than our Blood.
    Now I know a little bit about Allopathic Medicine, Satanic Medicine, Demonic Medicine. I have over 200 Medical Books. I know what they’re teaching our so-called Experts and they really don’t understand anything - I know! I study what these people study and I coach you guys! I know you don’t know the Disease-Producing Agency is the Bathroom that surrounds all of our Cells. If it doesn’t get Filtered, it Backs Up.
    Now what do the Medical Books say?
    I know what they say - I read it! They think that the Bathroom dumps into the Kitchen. You don’t Poop in your Kitchen! Water and Oil don’t mix. What happens, and this is what they don’t understand, is the Lymph System is also Filtered by the Kidneys.
    Now what we do is we’re Eating the Wrong Foods that Damage the Kidneys. The Kidneys then, don’t Filter the Lymph System and when it doesn’t get Filtered, it Backs Up and wherever it goes, now we have a Disease. And Demonic Medicine, Satanic Medicine doesn’t understand this because they have all of these Specialists!
    You go to your General Practioner and they say, oh, you got this, let me send you to 1 of the 130 Specialists we have. As Dr. Max Gerson said of his own Profession, Medical Doctor, we don’t study the Concept of Totality - we don’t understand how everything’s Connected.
    So you go to 1 of our Specialists and they don’t know how the Whole Body works. You go to a Specialist that’s for the Eyes or your Skin and they don't realize the Disease Producing Agency is the Bathroom that surrounds all of our Cells - it's not getting filtered - it Backs Up. Sometimes, in order to protect itself, it creates Tumors, Cysts, Fibroids, Nodules, Calcifications, Ossifications to Protect the Body. I explain there are 4 Long-term Stages of Disease in my video Disease Mysteries Revealed. I always put that at the end of my videos and I'll put a link Down Below in the description box where I explained we have 2 Short-term Self-Limited Diseases and 4 Long-term Stages of Disease where we have Inflammation and Ulceration - the Body's trying to get rid of the Waste Matter, in most cases, then the last 2 Stages - Induration and then, the Tumors, the Cysts, the Fibroids, the Nodules, the Calcifications, the Ossifications - the Body is Trying to Protect itself.
    So when the Body can't Filter the Lymph System, if it creates a Tumor, we either have a Malignant Tumor or a Non-Malignant Tumor. What's the difference?
    It's the Acidity of the Waste Matter inside the Tumor.
    Now the way our System is designed, we have Lymph Nodes inside of our Lymph System. Inside the Lymph Nodes we have Bacteria and they do the same thing Bacteria will do inside of a Septic Tank. If you're not on the main line sewage system, you got your own Septic Tank with Bacteria in there and anybody who has one of these they say don't pour Chemicals down there - you don't want to Destroy the Bacteria because they're going to Eat up the Garbage - that's why if the Bacteria is Metastasizing, Infections don't Spread - Bacteria go wherever there's Waste
    Matter and Eat it up or where there's Dead Dying Cells to Eat them up.
    So what happens if we have enough Bacteria inside of our Lymph Nodes, we can convert that 3 pH to 6 pH and now if we can't get rid of that, it'll create a Tumor, but it's only going to be a 6 pH, so it's Not Malignant. But what if we took a lot of Antibiotics and now we don't have enough Bacteria inside our Lymph Nodes, now instead of converting the 3 pH to 6 pH - it's still 3 pH - 50 000 times hotter than our Blood. You got a Tumor that's Malignant - what’s it going to do when it touches our Cells, it's going to Burn the Cells.
    Ask any Chemist what Cancer is and they're going to tell you it's an Acid Burn. And it's interesting, 85% of our Cancers are Carcinomas - Cancers of Epithelial Cells. This is my Epithelial Tissue - it's going in my Nose - it's all everywhere inside of our Body - we have Epithelial Cells. So what happens when that Tumor touches any Organ or any part of our Body inside of it? It touches the Epithelial Cells - now you got a Carcinoma - 85% of Cancers are Carcinomas. Why? Because that's the first thing that gets Burned if you have a 3 pH Tumor - a Malignant Tumor.

    So I would think if you correlated cholesterol and LDL against cancer deaths/mortality it would corroborate what Dr. Greger says here. I don't doubt him but what I'm interested in is whether a "low fat" diet is the equivalent to a mostly Whole Foods Plant Based diet in terms of warding off metastasis. What I'm getting at is that it's difficult to eliminate all palmitic acid in ones vegan diet i.e. I eat walnuts, seeds and tahini, use oil when needed and eat avocados regularly. My cholesterol and LDL are exceptional and have been for some time. Do I need to cut out all fats? Are there plant based foods that inhibit absorption of palmitic acid (I'm looking at you fiber!)?

    • @superfinevids
      @superfinevids 4 месяца назад +5

      Lower all fats. There are no good fats. Seed oils are not something pur physiology adapted for in the quantity we consume them. Fats are positively charged and your blood is negatively charged. Fat makes your blood cells stick together which raises blood pressure and thus your red blood cells can't get past your capillaries. Once you hypoxia cells the chance of cancer skyrockets. Cancer is mainly caused by mitochondria trying to go through kreb cycle but the oxygen levels get too low so it runs kreb cycle backwards. Basically acting like a bacteria that your body can't recognize. This was proven by taking cancerous mitochondria and putting them in healthy cells and turning that healthy cell cancerous. This same process did not play out when the DNA from a cancer cell was injected in a healthy cell.

    It’s a bit shocking to see olive oil has 26% of its fats as palmitic acid. How does that compare to other vegetable seed oils, and to coconut oil?
    Is palmitic acid always a high percentage (approx 50%, or more) of any saturated fat? The study just detailed overall, and saturated fat intakes of the participants. Can we equate a decrease in saturated fat intake with a decrease in palmitic acid intake?

      Vegetable oils like nut and seed oils are mostly unsaturated fats, though they contain small amounts of saturated fats. Olive oil, for example, has around 7-20% palmitic acid but is still primarily a mono-unsaturated fat, unlike coconut oil, which is much higher in saturated fats, with about 50% palmitic acid. Generally, vegetable oils have less palmitic acid compared to coconut oil. Palmitic acid is a significant component of most saturated fats, and reducing saturated fat intake will typically lower palmitic acid intake as well.

      It always gets increasingly confusing to explain approaches that inhibit what the body is trying to do without understanding the cause of that behavior. Any fat/oil congests elimination pathways, and metastasis is unsuccessful elimination of waste. Enhancing elimination would heal the root cause, but their approach is to just cover up the symptoms. The right approach reverses every cancer every time without the need for complicated excuses.
      These diseases of congestion can be healed through waterfasting and/or fruit feasting. The "gold standard" generally disregards this modality because it can't be placebo-controlled, and is unprofitable. They will only "put it to the test" when combined with damaging conventional therapies such as chemotherapy, and continuously claim they're making progress even though cancer rose from obscurity to become the leading cause of death.

    1. If Fat was cancer’s preferred fuel, then oncologists’ favourite tool 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET SCAN) or contrast CT WOULD NOT WORK!!! They depend on radioactive glucose or contrast being sucked up by cancer cells in preference to anything else, and at 10x the rate of normal cells, making your PET SCAN light up like a christmas tree with metastatic baubles.
    2. When you say risk reduction of 24%, do you mean the risk of breast cancer returning changing from
    5% to 3.8%? That’s a 24% risk reduction. Relative risk reduction is a type of change risk change that pharma use to promote their drugs, knowing that most medics and lay people will assume it to be ABSOLUTE RISK reduction. A risk reduction in something that is already small will make virtually no difference, but may require tremendous sacrifice for little benefit. Docs should be honest and only talk in ABSOLUTE RISK terms.
    3. Palmitic Acid, like a lot of fats, is a solvent for environmental carcinogens eg dioxins , so depending on where the palmitic was sourced, or what else was consumed with it, maybe the real cause.
    4. Metastatic cancer infiltrations have both features of macrophages, the only cells in the body that naturally infiltrate other organs and the primary tumour. It is thought that the macrophage engulfed the primary tumour cells and instead of being a takeover, becomes a merger, losing control of its passport to other organs to the tumour cells, making the situation often terminal because the immune system has effectively been commandeered. It is possible, more study is required, that palmitic promotes THIS particular feature, not as primary fuel, but promoter in CERTAIN cancer types.

    • @CancerEducationNet
      @CancerEducationNet 3 месяца назад

      Both things can be true, unfortunately:
      - Carnivore diets are keto, so they reduce glucose availability to the tumor, raise ketones, and raise insulin. Saturated Fat might also induce lipotoxicity on the tumor cells, if they don't have enough SCD1 activity (an enzyme that desaturates fat) or not enough redox activity (which is also limited by keto). All of this can put stress on the tumor;
      - However, saturated fat - which is high in meats - can also increase the chance of metastasis;
      One recommendation that we give in our course is to avoid Carnivore if the tumor is localized, and stick to healthier fats - especially omega-3, MCT, and MUFAs.

    • @CancerEducationNet
      @CancerEducationNet 3 месяца назад

      I guess you've been watching Dr. Seyfried, right? You're right, and I guess one thing that we need to be mindful of is that, in the absence of fats, something else needs to be eaten - specifically, amino acids such as glutamine, as well as carbohydrates, which ultimately are broken down into glucose. Another important point is that glucose can be used for fat synthesis, so it's a mistake to assume that not eating fat means that you won't have it generated.
      Saturated Fat and Omega-6 tend to be more associated with cancer and metastasis. MUFAs and Omega-3, as well as MCT oil, tend to be less dangerous. So it's possible to do a plant-based keto that is more focused on healthy fats, which might put pressure on the tumor.
