This is arguably my favorite Transformers line in years.
same.. regardless of the alt modes.. i am not a collector but the siege and earthrise transformers are the first i have bought since i was a child and had my mum by them for me.. i just love the g1 looks in robot mode.. i keep them unopened in box anyway so alt modes dnt matter

I love it when they have some kind of expression, especially if it reflects their personality.
It’s funny because sometimes starscream would be mistakenly colored as thundercrcaker in the show.
@@sethtaros7757 This Starscream head I think would suit Thundercracker more as well, as he was always a doubtful member of the Decepticons, having to be pulled along by the others.
I switched em! Quite easy to do. Really recommend it.
I think the face he has on him fits him more then the smirk due to him being in the war on cybertron it definitely gives him a more battle hardened look

Alphonso Frett kinda. The tetrajets in the cartoon had more of a sharp pyramid look.
That said, it looks like Hasbro/Takara wanted to focus on the cartoon robot model rather than an animation accurate tetrajet, which was the right call IMO.

I am going to have to disagree with you, I think classic starscream is the best. But with that said it was my first starscream so I might be biased.
The robot mode is cool, but I still prefer the classics version, the alt modes in Siege just aren't that great IMO to be the "best transformers toy line". Siege is HEAVILY geared toward robot mode in most cases, the cars are pretty slick though, like sideswipe.
I hope that Thundercracker comes with the chest fixed

When you get Thundercracker and Skywarp, are you going to review them, or are you just going to buy them and use them in occasional gags because they are the same mold as Starscream?

@@PaulGaither not really. I read that the skywarp mold has a rare colorscheme in the shoulders that no other skywarps had plus the skywarp has battle damage designs on the shoulder with the rare purple scheme and the thundercracker kinda has chest damage too tho.
except for thundercraker's head sculpt.

I noticed during transformation that the flat head panel actually tabs flatly behind the head in robot mode. It helps fill the gap between his head and backpack. 🤘🤘

Now all we need is reflector and we'll have all the original main decepticon cast that aren't repaints minus rumble.
Fun fact: if you get three of reflector they can combine into a camera with their guns and shields forming a tripod and zoom lens respectively.
They released it but hasbro lost the rights of the name so they released the leader of them as refrectorcon of for short refrector

8:16 the panel that tabs into the back of his head slots between his shoulder intakes to hold the head up and generally hold everything together more securely.
The grey piece that tabs into his head should stick out on his back so the tall things on his shoulders that were the jet nose can slot into it. It kinda fills in the empty spot behind his head. U can see the groves on the nose pieces that the grey thing slots into
I'm glad someone noticed👍 other reviewers have remembered to do that
Another trick I’ve discovered is that the panel connecting Starscream’s head, it has tabs on either side, and the nosecone halves have notches on either side for it to slide in

Dang. 5 years later and this thing still beats out the 86 starscream by a mile. This is the nost animation accurate starscream they've ever made! If only they can redo the earthrise mold in ss86 again and make another earth starscream that looks like this

@@terrylyle3365 i don't get what your getting at, but it's not rank based, the colors distinguish the robots from each other so every seeker has a different color scheme, you confused me for a bit, but that's your answer.
Totally loves this line and this is one of my favorite Starscream figs.

The definition of a shellformer. A vehicle mode shell that wraps around the robot mode underneath and fold up a lot.

I love this mold and I've never been a fan of Seekers. The tetrajet really works for me and this is overall a fantastic figure. I may very well get the full trio(and Acid Storm if we ever get him) for the very first time! I honestly hate the potp Starscream, it's just awful all around so I'm so glad they have redeemed Starscream with this figure.
Just wish they made a non-damaged version of this mold because i don’t really like battle details in cartoon figures

I am not a G1 Starscream at all, but I really like this fgure! I´m getting it!
The symbols on the backgrounds and the instructions are rank symbols like leader, general, lieutenant etc. There is a main symbol and then the rank is the smaller bits on the underside of it.
He looks a lot like a BSG Viper fighter, actually 🤓 Regardless, he and the seekers can rock high heels better than most guys can.
It's a really good-looking Starscream...and he's even got high heels? Man, I may need to buy this mold.

Nope, it’s the Siege line, the flying pyramid with wings design (aka the tetrajets) was used in the original g1 cartoon for the seekers cybertronian mode
I’m not worried about the chest problem as soon as my preorder shows up I will add the pin myself. As Emgo showed the holes are there just need to be drilled all the way and pined

I think his Jet Mode is supposed to look like the ships from Battlestar Galactica movie
if you use a pin vise with a small enough bit you could theoretically make your own pin with a paperclip and a little glue. I might try that when I get mine.

I'm pretty sure that in More than Meets the Eye: Part 1, one of the Decepticons trying to stop Wheeljack and Bumblebee from getting the conductors to Iacon, is holding their singular null ray(without another one on their arm), rather than having it arm mounted, thus explaining why Hasbro chose to make them able to be handheld with this mold.

Considering the other 3, I'm kind of surprised that they didn't give Megs an 80s sci-fi altmode.
The nose piece that splits for the intakes by his head has slots for the tabs on the panel on the back of his to fit into as a filler panel instead of tucking into his back

Honestly, the vehicle mode would look better if you just left the fake cockpit chest off as a separate piece, and the colours would be more cohesive as Thundercracker or Skywarp because the off-white of Starscream contrasts too much with the sky-blue accents and gives his legs away underneath...
I just noticed that the decepticon insignia design is the same one from the bay movies.
The chest piece was intentionally loose in order to commemorate his jet mode to be more cleaner.
