I barely think about the toy but the quote from HFTD Leader Movie Starscream's voicebox; "No-One Can Defeat Star-Scream" always comes to mind when ever i see/watch a review of any of his toys.
I got the last one a Walmart 30 minutes away from me had. I absolutely love it. My only problem is, like you mentioned, the chest that pops off way too easily. Luckily, it hold tight in both modes. It’s just mid transformation that it gives me problems.
While I am a little disappointed that this Starscream is a $30, deluxe-sized, voyager shell-former, he still looks cool. The one Siege line piece I'm waiting on is the forthcoming Armada Prime, and given his history with said version of Optimus, I can't wait to see the Baltmatrix review of it.
Man I absolutely love these Siege figures. Makes me happy I got into collecting . I got into Transformers again about a year ago so I could play with my 3 year old daughter.
Gotta say I'm somewhat pleasantly suprised with this figure, in a sense that it was not as hardcore shellformer as I thought and it pulls some neat little tricks like the fist reveal and shoulder intakes
Great figure! Picked up the latest version of him today, the one that's paired with Springer. And the running change made was correcting the Decepticon insignia from movie-esque to original G1. And the chest piece is a lot tighter now even without a metal pin. Overall QC is better now as of the prod release Aug 2019.
ive got him on pre order along with ironhide from amazon (theyre no where near the shelves yet in ireland-half the line never reaches here, we onlly got dragonstorm and titans return overlord this week !) . i cant wait to get skywarp and thundercracker too. As others have been saying too its like an unofficial crossover with BSG. always loved me the colonial viper. : D
At 4:10 you don't have the plate on the back of head in the right spot. It plate is supposed to go so the tab in the middle is facing up to the sky, and the tabs on the sides of the silver plate go into tabs on his shoulder horns. This fills in some of the space between his head and his backback, and provides more stability for the head.
The only complaint that I have is that the shoulder pegs are so lose for the null rays, so I use the fore arm pegs, which are more tighter than the shoulders
@baltmatrix, my Skytread has worse case of mold flashing, he has two of these on each shoulder, obviously visible in robot mode (in jet mode these are hidden because these are on parts that meet to hide Skytread's head). Very unfortunate choice of spot for plastic injection into mold.

Personally I can't wait for Thundercracker too, thinking of swapping the heads just because I think the smirk would look great on this guy. Bought mine at a local Walmart, he does not have the pin. I'm thinking a running change happened somewhere along the line.
My favorite G1 Starscream figure since I started collecting back in 2007. Shame you got a bad copy with the wrist and chest piece. Hope your second one works better!
My figure has the same problem the yours has at 8:22. The head doesn't fully retract into the back, unless I use a screwdriver to nudge it in the slot. You probably didn't realize that there is something wrong with your figure, but there is.
everyone noticed that right the vehicle looks almost a lot like to the Star Wars fighter jets right the yellow ones I forget the name but does look almost look just like it

Cool figure. Mine chest plate is POS . fell right off out of box and barely hangs on. Disappointing and gives me no encouragement to repurchase the mold for the other seekers. Good review though.

Transforming him back to robot mode his cockpit is very extremely hard to split in two before I got my starscream out the box he had scraped blue parts Luckily I fixed it with light blue paint But iam never ever transforming him again to risky At least I got to see the jet mode once
Ngl I'm kinda disappointed with the robot kibble underneath viewing the figure from the top does look good bet when you look underneath it's just too much kibble IMO
In Starscream's defense, he had a rough night the night before at MacCadam's Old Oil House. It was St. A-3s Day and everyone was partying. He just had a little too much energon and had to be taken home by Skywarp and Acid Storm. 😂 This is a pretty awesome toy. I never thought I'd see a tetra jet version of Starscream that actually works!
I wish they would do a wash on these instead of the battle damage paint. This has an excessive amount of panel lines and would look amazing if someone went in with a panel line marker.
This is pretty awesome for the design. Personally, I can't comprehend Hasbro's insistence on having a silver face on Starscream (like Thundercracker & Skywarp) instead of the proper gunmetal gray. As for debating on getting another to customize? Absosmurfinlutely, do it!! Get three more and customize the three Rainmakers.
It has a lot of movement issues. But worse is the literal splatterfest all over. His name should be Shitstorm, the 'con who was there when the midden hit the windmill.

If you're looking for a Starscream with the metal pin for his chest, the code on the package is 90081.
Tbh I think that the running change is due to tollerance. The metal pin might actually cause it to snap off due to force during transformation.

Just picked up one from Toys R Us and I have the same issue with the chest plate popping out. But overall, it's a great mold! Love it.👍

I got my starscream. What's also great about this one is if you pose him in tetra mode facing upwards, he looks like the spaceship from GALAGA game.

I want a titan class version of this as an underbase enhanced Starscream, think the molding details would fit it good.
Both modes are great. I don’t mind transforming him back and forth for my kid. He loves it and I doo too.

My copy has an issue with the null ray port on the left but I can just make a bit tighter and make it easier to get on and harder to fall of easily
starscream is pretty good, but i'm waiting for the inevitable skywarp repaint. that black and purple fool is my favorite of the three.

The gray piece on the back of his head should be flat. The nose cones has two notches that the gray piece will fit in place.
I almost love this more than Earthrise Starscream but it's the alt mode for me that saves Earthrise's rank

I picked up mine up today! I really like it. But the whole "battle damage" and weathering paint is really really over done on him

It was just announced today that there is a running change that does have a metal pin to hold the chest flap in place.
