I was trying to jump an old battery with a 20 volt dewalt and I didn’t see the alligator clips were touching and it welded the clips together and both batteries stops working. I took the 20 volt apart and found that the negative side that they weld to the battery pad exploded. I was able to solder a copper jumper to both sides and my 150$ battery works again. For anyone in the same boat just open it up and see if it can be fixed because they are stupid expensive
