I changed the solenoid two days ago just like you said, the code disappeared and no more weird hesitation on the first gear.

So here is what happened after changing the solenoid. The car worked fine with no code for three days, then the code showed up again and the car started to do weird stuff again but way less than before. I took the car to Al’s transmission and checked it and the transmission is back to 100%. It appeared that what I am having now is throttle body issues.
So I think the solenoid problem is fixed.
I will update you more next week.
@@zogalz5598 any updates? I have an 06 Lexus IS 250 I changed the solenoid but the light came back on and it’s the same code? Would a flush fix it or would I have to do anything else?

@@IcedOutGhost No. So I replaced the SLU and SLT solenoids. It does drive better but I have different codes popping up every 30 + miles ( I erase them but new ones pop up every 30 or so miles). Mainly the code has been p2757 but last night it was p2714 and p0751 and there was no p2757.
So I talked to my neighbors mechanic and he thinks the tranmission cpu module needs to be replaced. If that doesn’t work - the tranmission needs to be replaced. $550 for the tranmission cpu module. So I am just going to do it.
Thoughts!? Good deal? Should I just replace the transmission? $550 investment in vain?

I think I have the same issue. Check engine, vsc light comes on then goes away after a couple days.
I am sure a lot of us want to see some confirmation to tell P2757 pointing to 35290-34010. Any TSB from Lexus or Toyota?

Hello Jonny, I have a question about the same problem with my Toyota Corolla 2013. When I putted the scanner on this is all it said: "P2757 Torque Converter Clutch Pressure Control Solenoid Control Circuit Performance/Stuck off" Will it be the same solenoid as the one on this video???

Replace 34010 last week same CEL and VSC light came back on and decided to replace 30050 this week CEL and VSC light went away finally. But then end up with trying to slowly drive forward up my little incline driveway and the drive gear won't lock up on an incline.

I would NOT recommend adding the gasket making material to the rubber gasket. The rubber gasket is likely fine, and will last years without leaking. I have had to repeat this job multiple times over 4-6 years, and I don't even bother replacing the rubber gasket and filter each time. It has not leaked yet.
Very helpful video but i have to say you made a big mistake by only adding 2 qts, the 2 qt is only for changing the fluid without the filter, the filter drops at least another qt so you would have needed 3 - 4 qts. Hope everything is still running great tho and it wasnt a big problem
That’s right! I got the Lexus service manual and followed the instructions. My car took about 5qts and I also replaced the strainer.
what's the difference with this part no. 35290-34010 Line Pressure Control Solenoid Assembly in your video vs 35280-30050 Lock Up Control Solenoid Assembly i saw in another video?

Although there's a code P2757 on my 2006 IS350, the transmission works well. In this case, the issue could be ignored, I guess?
Had the same problem on my 2008 is350 today , went to auto zone and received this code. I was out w my friends and seen my engine smoke up a little bit but it still drove like normal and didn’t hear or see any problems since.
Same here ...I think we should flush the transmission fluid ,because I need that check engine light off
I notice I have this problem about 30 minutes of driving on the freeway, especially if there is stop-N-go traffic. I replaced the solenoid and received the code again. I will try replacing some of the fluid. Note: I do not plan to replace all of the fluid for fear of clutch slippage (the clutch wears out over time, and if you replace with new fluid, it may slip because there is not enough metal filings left in the fluid to stop the slip. I also plan to clean the connections to the CPU near the battery and test the voltage on the solenoid (not sure how yet).

2757 refers to the SLU solenoid though, not the SLT

@@iniquetvpro I took it to the shop and pretty much told me I will need a new transmission but My transmission only does that when it’s cold ...once it’s warmed it doesn’t do that at all...so maybe I should hold off before actually doing a transmission replacement

I have the same model and have a vsc and engine light on and the scanner say is p2757 code that was your case??
I just pulled my solenoid out. It is tested at 5.6 ohm and when 12V is applied, the plunge moved. That tells me it is a good solenoid.... Maybe filter clogged up and fluid dirty, hence pressure is low? I will put everything back with new filter and 2 qt of fluid and see if the problem comes back.

what is the exact code everyone is getting? Can everyone please chime in to their fault code. It appears that the SLT solenoid is not fixing the problem with a lot of people.

It could be multiple from what I’ve heard. I guess the best way to tell is to do an ohm check and test them all out and see if they still click

I replaced the solenoid and the light is still there, shifts fine during highway speeds and goes all the way into 6th gear, when I’m barley accelerating from like a stop sign or what not I noticed how it jumps between 1000 to 2000 rpm, any leads on how I can fix it? I feel like it doesn’t even slip it just jumps up

Does it shift better now or the same as before?
If your trans is shifting well, swapping the sensor won't improve shifts. Definitely night and day in the shifts from when it wasn't receiving signal from the sensor.
FYI... before changing the SLT or Line Pressure Control Solenoid, check the SLU or LockUp Control (TCC) Solenoid. I changed the SLT Solenoid as recommend in the video, but the Check Engine light and P2757 code came back on. After some more research, I decided to change the SLU Solenoid as well and... the Check Engine light and P2757 code are GONE! I've driven my car over 100 miles already. After changing the SLT Solenoid the Check Engine light and P2757 code came back on at about 10-15 miles. I forgot to mention, but the VSC warning is gone as well!

yes johnny must have an all wheel drive because 35280-30050 is the correct part number for my base 2007 is250. also, change both the slt and slu solenoids. part 35290-34010. this is how u fix it

I get the p2757 code all the time on my 2010 corolla, is my issue the same? Should I replace the Automatic Transmission Control Solenoid? Or could it be one of the other solenoids? Thank you.
I have a 2011 Corolla with the same code that came on twice. I took out all the solenoids and tested them. All but one of them were perfectly fine. The part number that you need for the replacement solenoid is 35290-52040. Do the basic stuff first to confirm that the solenoid is the problem. Check fluid level, replace dirty fluid and filter, check for leaks and then test the solenoid.

@@stephencook7337 Do you happen to know the appropriate voltage to apply for the solenoid? Possibly 7 volts? I have heard 12 volts may damage the solenoid, although I do not have documentation to confirm.
I had the problem on my original transmission with 200,000 miles. So I went and got a 50k miles transmission, got it install and everything…. And the same problem can back ..

Same thing happened to me... I changed the SLU (TCC) Solenoid and problem solved! The VSC warning is gone as well...

How do you disconnect the connector , I’m stuck on it and it won’t come out
You just need a very tiny pocket screw driver or small pocket flat headband you need to press very hard on the connector tab and pull it out

what did you end up going?
there is a proper sequence for filling the transmission ,, you take the allen key plug out the pan and fill untill it runs out. Also needs to be a specific temperature 49 deg I think .. YOU JUST GUESSED AT IT.

So i changed out the lock up and pressure control solenoids and it did not resolve my vibration going into 5th and 6th gear.

Yeah no and its getting worst. Going to so another fluid drain and fill but this time add instant shudder fix. And then ill see and if still bad give up and send to transmission shop.

I have the same issue. No power in 1st and 2nd gear vsc light on code p2757. I wanna try to flash the pcm before doing this.

I tried to flash it but it didn't work. I just changed the filter and the fluid and the car shifts better but the code is still there with problems shift from 1st to 2nd.

Basically the same car. If you have a faulty solenoid, this will fix the code.

I would first make sure the parts are identical. I don't know for sure.

I changed out the solenoid and the code didn’t appear for a while, later on it came back and I started having problems with the gears shifting early, I go into 6th gear at 40 mph, Is that normal or should I do a transmission flush?
yes, with low throttle application it is normal to be in 6th gear at 42mph.

No, just means it wasn't the solenoid.
@@JonnyBarajas had O'Reily diagnosed it first, got code p0798 c1201 c1223 u0123 u0129. Changed all PCS and went to autozone and diagnostic came up pressure control solenoid A and bank 1, 2 off, but thats due to breathers. Why is it showing up pcs A, yet shifts to 1,2,3,4, but not 5&6

Did you find out why it came back? I saw another video where the cars computer wasnt sending proper voltage to the solenoids. And thats why it kept returning.

@@Don_Latino mine was different, my car still move to 6 gear just I don't know why the code comes on and I go for diagnostic they said that it because the torque converter in the engine and ask for new transmission

Bro it’s common sense and rule of thumb if you plan on dropping any tranny pan you 100% change the filter while you are in there just saying kinda dumb to even think about reusing the old filter with new fluid smh 🤦🏻♂️
