These live performances are always absolutely incredible! Thank you for posting these for those of us who couldn't be there!
OMG I WAS THERE, absolutely AMAZING show. it was my first ever show that I went to and possibly sadly my last since I live on the other side of America from New York. Only reason why I was able to go was because I was on vacation over there. I hope one day you can come over to Seattle ❤
I hope so too!
Thanks for coming!!!
The music you all played was incredible! The “Who’s on First” gag was also extremely well done.
I Wanna Take You For A Ride, the best Tower of Power tribute song I've heard.
I am glad I wasn't the only one hearing 'What is Hip' by Tower of Power in there! That there was a really good quote of "What is Hip"!
@@jepb2608they quote Kool & the Gang too lol Hollywood Swinging
Flugelhorn is so underrated, guys. That solo was so beautiful, Chloe!
this arrangement of ''Can you feel the sunshine?'' got me in tears, absolute masterpiece, you guys truly made it!
I *_definitely_* felt the sunshine. The backup vocals on this were a nice touch.
This Pollyana performance really just made my day. I love all of you who make this possible.
just wanna say that however did the mixing on this concert has done an amazing job! not a single detail is missing and it sound like Im really there!
Gotta give it up to the audio/sound engineers for being able to master/equalize the levels of the channels on the mixer.
Wow, just wow. This was an AMAZING concert and seeing live jazz at a club setting. Also that lead trumpet is INSANE
Who?
Verifiably insane.
@@erebus2106Bryan Davis on lead
Lead trumpet on fire 🔥
That Who's on First bit was brilliant mate, just brilliant. And the music was pretty fantastic too!
The "I wanna take you for a ride" is absolutely incredible
Thank you so much for this!!! Pollyanna and Still Alive were both nothing short of amazing - well done from everybody as always. Happy New Year!
The memory for Abbott and Costello... Such a long bit!
As someone who's performed it in front of an audience, I can attest, it's an absolute BEAST not just to memorize the whole thing but to keep up the rapid-patter rate of gags throughout. One of the most difficult performances in comedy, but a true classic.
I wasn’t expecting you to post the full concerts!!! 😱 Thanks for sharing these for those who couldn’t make it to the performances
This has been my most anticipated thing of 2023 music wise, definitely did not disappoint
I can't believe this hasn't gotten more views. You guys are unbelievable and so much fun. Fantastic crowdwork and big band renditions are something I never knew I needed. Lol Will be playing this on loop for a bit.
who was that lead trumpet player because OMG they are demons are consistently hitting 3rd octave notes 😭
8BBB lead is Bryan Davis. Incredible player, most of these charts are super demanding for the lead. Some monstrous double Bbs and above.
Who was in fact the first trumpet, yes. We covered this.
Jared starting hitting that snare rim and an idea sparked in his head. Loved the creativity of the drum solo. Keep it up!
I love that, since this group essentially has a rotating cast, each live performance will be a little different than the studio cuts. Or even significantly different, at least in execution and details. Kind of like Snarky Puppy in that sense haha. You all blow me away, and I'd love to be part of a group even half this talented some day.
yeah, I listen to the studio recordings so often that I always notice the slight differences in the live performances
Nice! Full set! I get to hear all the things I screwed up! 😜
Ahh, the bane of musicians and modern technology. :D
Not as well as I got to hear them
@@JimmyOConnell87 pardon?
You still sounded as amazing as ever! I wish I got to go see the show honestly. 😂
@@AirflowMusicNYC what?
holy crap Aisha and Chloe killed it, thanks for posting the performance!!
Wonderful, wonderful! Either my wife or me will be driving our 16-year old up to Newport News to see your show there next weekend because he is obsessed with you all. Thank you!
HEHE! The Abbott and Costello bit had me rolling! Well done. XD What a phenomenal show. *Wild applause*
Thank you too for posting your whole set here for people to enjoy over in Germany too! Excellent music played and arranged by excellent musicians!
This is such a wonderful performance! I really hope I can see you all live one day!!
You should do some songs from Supegiant’s *Transistor*. They’re just begging for the jazz band treatment.
Absolute 🔥🔥 as always Charlie!
You guys deserve so much applause, I just found your channel and honestly Im looking at seeing you live someday. Fantastic work!
I was at the early set and it was a fantastic show! Can't wait to see you guys again! Also, Charlie, if you're reading this, I need to know whose idea it was to do an entire rendition of Who's on First
He posted the bit on his& the bands tiktok & instagram& based on caption, sounded like it was his idea.
Yes! I was at that show and my dad loved that bit 😂
It always brings me joy whenever I hear your covers, instant classics!
I needed this as inspiration to start practicing again. I LOVE YOUR COMPOSITIONS SO MUCH
It really takes a lot to give me goosebumps, and from the start they came. Absolutely amazing ❤
I was there! My first 8BBB show. Had such a blast. Thanks for filming it and posting!

OMG BENEATH THE MASK WAS SO HOT! 🥵🥵🔥🔥
This is incredible!
This was incredible! Thank you for uploading it!
Seeing the 8-bit big band live is on my bucket list for sure. When you guys come to Orlando, I’ll be front row!

Y’all did that!!! I really enjoyed watching this performance! I look forward to seeing you live one day!! Love y’all much! Cheers to an awesome 2024! ❤🎹🥁🎤🎧🎸🔥#LongLiveVideoGameMusic
this band never ceases to impress!
A triumph indeed! Amazing. I couldn't stop laughing at the Trumpet skit.
You guys are really awesome! Thx for making us part of the show. Big fan from Saudi 🇸🇦
Amazing Art - Very promising band.
How do I get to sing backup for these kinds of gigs? I would give anything to belt out Pollyanna like that, goddamn.
I was there! Such a nice surprise to have this amazing night saved to rewatch
Sipping on champagne in Sony Hall listening to these guys would be a great time.
36:25-37:05 Okay Charlie!! I didn't know you could shred!!! We love to see it!
I’m looking forward to attending another show! You guys are so fun live and I hope that a song for the new “Piranha Plants on Parade” track on Mario Wonder makes it onto your set list in the future.
That opener!!!!! Holy smokes
I'm here for the shmaltzy trombone solos and the classy arrangements, you guys deliver every time
also you guys should do a jazz arrangement of schala's theme and/or the song that plays when you get to Zeal, that would be the hottest fire
Happy new year.
great stuff! hope you guys do some persona 3 reload covers when the game comes out, cause that just sounds like peak to me
Omg that Pollyanna
Holy shit! 38:52 was just magic, J Hoard was kitschy but giving it their all, so earnest.
I will be missing magfest this year so I’m doing it home lol. Glad to have a recent concert to add to the playlist :)
We will also be missing magfest this year, so no worries!
LETS GOOOO
good shit
As a fan who lives in Thailand 🇹🇭 i live for these live vids, with the knowledge i will almost surely never actually see the band live 😢
incroyable
Awesome!! Since I first listened to the album, I found that "I Wanna Take You For a Ride" heavily reminds me of a section of Huey Lewis and the News' BTTF song "Back In Time", which I love a lot. 17:57
I fuckin love Huey Lewis so this makes sense!!
Alto 2 player sounds like Eric Marienthal!!! Love it!
Super Mario World Overworld Theme meets "Li'l Darlin'" woof woof (@59:35)
The abbot and Costello bit was great
I listened to that skit since I was little
8bit studio please please come to California or anywhere on the west coast. I need to see this set live ❤
YEEES PLZZZZ been begging for them to come to the Bay Area😭
17:55 WHOA. Tower of Power much?
even in hydrocity zone they quote them lol
I know that probably no one will see my comment but, could you(the band) do a cover from wario land shale it musica Glittertown 3-4?
Nice
Omg I was at this show. I was the one getting way too loud about Persona 4 lmao
Y’all got J Hoard!? I’ve heard his stuff with brasstracks dudes amazing! Def didn’t disappoint with Pollyanna!
I ❤️ Jazz
Still not a single song from symphony of the night😭
Good Lord Aisha Jackson just OWNS that song
MY GOD, Aisha ate that shit!!!!
These performances are great! Good job, y'all! Also, I gotta say, I'm so appreciative of the amount of black talent you got behind the mic for these sets and the official videos. Jazz is a black-created music form, after all. It's nice to see that legacy be respected while also having fun covering nostalgic video game tracks. Your inclusivity does not go unnoticed!
19:35 Let Me Clear My Throat or more stylistically apt: Hollywood Swinging
YES someone else got it!!!
Also gotta rep jimmy for the solo on the Bomb Omb battlefield, its not in the description
PREACH
waiting for 8bit big band on BGS
beautiful performance, however i am broken to pieces at the fact that we can't hear charlie's cowbell in the video 🥲🥲
The sexiest Super Mario World has ever sounded
Id come to see a show if you guys snuck in a Casiopea song into the set and I want to see if anyone notices it
Charlie Rosen, this comment needs your attention.
Tour in Europe when?
Great show, but did Litty not perform last surprise at the second show?
We still played Last Surprise, but it was earlier in the set in the 2nd show.
@@AirflowMusicNYC Oh I'm literally blind, thank you.

Y'all better sube

53:52 bro forgot he must continuing singing
I just had a thought, if ice cream truck drivers want more business they should play video game themes. 😄
Una lástima que no estuviera Alan H Green para cantar Pollyanna 😔
Hey if you guys ever need an accordion play, hit me up!
Okay how did I never notice that Charlie’s guitar is PacMan? 😮
01:30:31 y'all
