I just rediscovered this video from when we were just trying out our VGM covers live for the first time that for some reason I had never uploaded, and the band sounds INCREDIBLE! So I wanted to share it with you all to mark the debut of this incredible community, thank you everyone who has continued to listen to our music and support us these last 3 years :) to many more! Long live Video Game Music! Been a hell of a ride so far!

Blending together timeless musical themes from Nintendo, Sega, Sony, and more then re-arranging them in genres and styles of all musical inspirations, The 8-Bit Big Band has members from all around the world, but most reside primarily in New York City, and are some of the most highly sought after musicians and performers.

why did this set make me cry more than once. I felt the music and wanted to sing along and laugh and dance... But I also wanted to cry. The talent in this group is authentic and the true feeling s you get from the music is almost overwhelming! I love it. Keep up the good work you guys!

This was really something else.. love the studio versions of your songs, but holy cow these live sets are a real nice treat.
My dream is to go to a few of these sets from a variety of bands. You guys being included in that list. Hope to have you guys in Chicago/Milwaukee area sometime soon! I wouldn’t miss it.

There's no wrong version of the Athletic theme. Beautiful piece by Kondo that's been reinterpreted by so many talented artists!
The only thing missing was perhaps Charlie running into the shot from stage left, firing a starter pistol into the air, then exiting stage right. That would've made it full Spike Jones (possibly also panicked the crowd, but oh well.)

Man, I remember actually being there for the set. I wasn't even aware it was your first live show, it was such a fun romp! Seeing that Adam Neely video has given me a lot of feelings about that now.
