This whole episode is actually pretty smart. It starts with Mark's kingdom, small and infant, and him making decisions clearly and using his morals, which in turn becomes beneficial to the town. However, as time goes on, and more people move in and more jobs and enemies created, he becomes more stressed and makes decisions based on what will garner gold instead of happiness to try and make people happy. This episode teaches us that people in these kinds of positions will eventually make selfish decisions because they become more stressed and more prone to making rash choices.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who saw something in this video more than just the game. What I saw was how everyone's lives would be so much better if we were all that grateful, charitable & always gave back. It's a closed loop of happiness. Wish real life was more like that. Unfortunately so many people are too scared to make those decisions.
five years ago from today, i nearly lost my thumb. I was watching this play through, and cutting a piece of rubber with my knife. Why was I cutting this piece of rubber? This whole episode is actually pretty smart. It starts with Mark's kingdom, small and infant, and him making decisions clearly and using his morals, which in turn becomes beneficial to the town. However, as time goes on, and more people move in and more jobs and enemies created, he becomes more stressed and makes decisions based on what will garner gold instead of happiness to try and make people happy. This episode teaches us that people in these kinds of positions will eventually make selfish decisions because they become more stressed and more prone to making rash choices.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who saw something in this video more than just the game. What I saw was how everyone's lives would be so much better if we were all that grateful, charitable & always gave back. It's a closed loop of happiness. Wish real life was more like that. Unfortunately so many people are too scared to make those decisions.

five years ago from today, i nearly lost my thumb. I was watching this play through, and cutting a piece of rubber with my knife. Why was I cutting this piece of rubber? Because I have a very bad fidgeting issue, and I like to keep my hands occupied. Anyways, I made one wrong stroke with this very sharp blade, my hand was covered in blood in no less than two seconds, but I decided it was more important to pause the video close my computer to save where I'm at so I can resume later, than it was to actually get help. I still have my thumb, with a very gnarly scar, but this video will forever hold a different kind of nostalgia for me.
