Thanks! To answer your question: I’ve seen blogs on MV in the beauty niche averaging ~$15-$30 depending on the specific type of content (fashion, jewelry, health/lifestyle content may skew this up). Also depends on time of year. Usually beauty niche sites can add a decent amount of smaller affiliate programs which helps offset this so-so RPM. They can also do sponsored posts which many other niches may struggle to get.

I was thinking about building niche sites around non fiction, high content KDP..
But thinking about it now, I’m not sure it will convert as well as I had thought.

@@dan-k79 It can't hurt to try it! If you manage to increase the traffic to your amazon kdp content, that is still a win even if conversion is low. Not to mention you don't need a top ad network to monetize with display ads...start small with Google adsense on your site...may give you an idea if the niche pays well.

There is definitely potential in this niche! Both from an RPM perspective and from a traffic standpoint. I’m sure you’d face some decent competition, but I generally like this idea since you could also do a YT channel for certain articles which would help diversify from future Google updates and could be another source of income.

Do we need google adsense approval to get mediavine

So you can technically apply to Mediavine without having AdSense running on your site (I did this to speed up site growth). But, eventually, you’ll need to get approved by Adsense as part of the Mediavine application process since Google is one of their biggest ad partners.
