Nate, I’m writing to encourage you to put an angled wind deflector on the front of your camper, above the cab of your pickup. You will realize a sizable increase in your gas mileage. I speak from experience. I have a rooftop tent on my car, and it is six inches tall when folded down. My mileage was around 22-mpg with the rooftop tent, which also has a long, off-road light bar, mounted to the front of the tent. I decided to add a homemade air deflector, made from an aluminum extrusion, to the front of the tent. The deflector is only a couple of inches tall, but it definitely had a beneficial effect on my mileage. It increased my highway mileage by 4-mpg, and two lane mileage went up about 6-mpg. Improved aerodynamics can definitely help your fuel economy!
I bought a 700w air fryer to use in my minivan and got a similar improvement in my diet. Frozen burritos, yes! With a DC-DC charger and a big battery, and an induction cooktop and a mini rice cooker, I have no need for my butane stove. Did you see the news clip of a guy's SUV exploding from a leaky butane canister? Bye bye fire and carbon monoxide worries. Good to see you traveling in that cool camper!
I recommend an air fryer over , theres some cheap ones on wayfair and it will absolutely change your life . I made everything that came out perfect , pizza, pasta, re heating you name it. Air fryer oven is the way to go 👍
Great video, Nate! Has to get old seeing comments about things you've been asked and answered in other (recent) videos 😂 Fun day-in-the-life. Have a good time up north!
On the road again🎶 Great to see how well the build is working. Made me realize I need to try using my air fryer for more items. Hope you have a wonderful time with the family.✌️🤗
Cool intro, showing clips of daily life. 👍 It’s interesting seeing a non-stealth setup with the a/c unit, fan and the big boxy camper. Looks spacious, with plenty of amenities. I went minimalistic with my truck topper camper and just tried to make it as comfortable as possible, while staying stealthy for those city sleep nights. 😉
An easy way to convert oven temperatures and times for an air fryer is: For an non-fan oven reduce the temperature shown by 70F or 40C For a fan oven reduce the temperature by 35C or 20C Time wise, reduce the time shown by 20% - e.g. 10 minutes becomes 8, 20 becomes 16 and 30 becomes 24…
Thanks for the heads-up on the mobile app for air fryer conversions. Whenever I cook anything with cheese in the air fryer, I place a piece of tin foil over the top halfway through cooking. I do not know if you can do that with your air fryer, but it keeps the upper air fryer element from overcooking it.
Oh, I'm late on this one. Hahaha about getting up here where it's cooler. Manchester NH broke the all time above 90-degrees record for 14 days in a row. It's been miserable. Last night it cooled down to the upper 60s and right now it's 66 at 11:35 p.m. and today was the first day with almost no humidity. Unfortunately, it's going to heat back up soon, but the respite is really nice. Hopefully you get to stay indoors with your parents and sis/bro-in-law/doggie whose name I forgot and are getting to golf and surf. I like the way you do these videos just showing what you're doing - it's relaxing. See ya next time!
I kind of missed some of your videos, I have to go back and catch up and find out what happened to out west. Do really like the new truck camper though.
Nate, it would be awesome if you were able to visit Brian whilst he is doing his camp hosting/managing. Have a catchup with him. So pleased he was successful in getting this position. He is very conscientious and doing such a great job for them. Wishing you safe and happy travels, as you make your way to family Nate. ( I'm waking to minus Celsius some mornings here in NZ. Never pleasant! 😊I don't have heating and a good power source as you do, so am very envious! ) Take care there.👍💌 🙋🏼♀️🚐 🌏🧭
You are better off now than you have been for years. Look at the positives in Life. It is what you make it. Living negatively is such a waste of a life.
It's a T-Mobile hotspot through the Calyx Institute. I love it! 5G, unlimited, unthrottled data. It's $750 for the first year and then $500 per year after that. members.calyxinstitute.org/r/mwcrr
Maybe you answered this in another video, but do you have a way to get out the camper if someone puts up your tailgate while you're inside? Thanks for the recommendation on the air fryer - I didn't know they made them so small. Just ordered one. I have a 5 quart one in the house but wanted one for the RV.
Just noticed. If someone put up the tailgate up while you were in the camper, wouldn't you be trapped inside unable to open the door? A criminal or somebody making a bad joke could cause a lot of potential harm.
He showed in a video when he was building it that he can reach his hand through the little window and open the tailgate. I had the same thought initially too.
I wouldn't like living in the back of that tiny home. Do you have a roof escape window or something? If someone closes the tail gate then you are stuck? I'm sure you realize that but what would be the plan?
He addressed it in a previous video….she prefers a more private life and doesn’t want to be in front of the camera. They are still an item which is good to hear.
Ahh using some of Ryan Towneys video styling and editing for this one 😂 I love it your inspired by some of my favorite “can lifer” RUclipsrs keep it up bro
A bit of an off-the-wall question here, but it's something I've seen happen before. If someone were to prank you by closing your tailgate while you are in your trailer, do you have any sort of way to reach out and release it? or are you calling someone to come help? (I'd recommend some kind of locking mechanism for the tailgate to keep that from happening while you're inside.
I guess this will be the number one comment but please tell me you've got a way to hack you way out of there in case somebody closes the tailgate up on you.
You should seriously consider watching the video when he shows himself opening the closed tailgate through the little window in his door from inside the camper. Seriously, it's a pretty decent video, all the build video's are pretty good.
Just watched your video and it great. One observation: I notice that your camper door opens outward. I also noticed that your truck tailgate need to be down for your camper door to open so you can enter and exit the camper...🤔🤔🤔
I have to ask @ElementLife if the window of your door opens? What happens if an innocent [or not-so-innocent] bystander closes your tailgate while you are inside?? That would freak me out...
H'mm you are not much of a sub, if you actually are, to not be keeping up with Nates videos!! Forever asking questions has to be such a damned pain for channels!!

Letting the video explain what's going on without narration works for me.

Great Job.. Nate... very cool camping set up
I was wondering who left the whiskers in our parking lot ;)
Wow! The perfect space for you that you made beautiful. I just noticed that you left plenty of visibility behind you with mirrors. Amazing job.

Nice to see you on the road again. Enjoy your time with the family. Happy Trails
Camper looks comfortable! Great job!
Love the camper setup. Everything you need and more!
I like using my air fryer, too 😀😀
No need to worry about being cold in New England right now! You must have brought this heat wave up with you 🤣
Having had to live in my RV after 2008, I can say yes that is kind of how it is. The RV was fine but the no place to stop got old really fast.
Hi Nate- always nice to go to U-Tube and catch up with your life adventures. Amazes me how you journey through life. Don & Jean

I have cooked many a steak in our airfryer. Its pretty awesome.

I have eaten many a burned Red Baron pizza! They still tasted good.
Nice and cozy in there
Awesome video!
👋 Enjoy the time with your family 😄👍
If you do a lot of driving maybe a wind deflector on your truck cab might help out a bit on that fuel mileage.
I kind of missed some of your videos, I have to go back and catch up and find out what happened to out west. Do really like the new truck camper though.

Greetings from Redondo Beach 🇺🇸🇺🇸Nice camper van life video🌷🌷
Nice 😊
Why did you not put a sink in like previous builds?

Where did you get those paper sleaves that you use in your air Flyer? That seems genius! That would keep my air fryer to stay so much cleaner!
amzn.to/4cZTPEY They are awesome!
Thank you!!
Nate are these coffee filters for the air fryer
Try some fajati seasoning on that broccoli and it is so good.
Love the build, looks super comfortable.
What's up with having to add oil?
glove when you love AND when you get fuel 🤣🤣
Can you tell me how your extended battery has been doing? Been thinking about picking it up
What do you do for work remotely? Maybe I missed it somewhere. I'm looking for ways to make money remotely.
With all electric, you would have cooling and heating and around the same range before refilling /refueling. Plus, lower operating costs.
Enjoy your time off and with family. Will you be surfing ? 😅😊
Do you find yourself missing the NV200 at all, Nate?
Yeah, sometimes. I have more space with the truck but get worse gas mileage. Maybe one day I'll get another minivan stealth camper!
You should put some metal.rack in the air fryer so any food will be much better, because air supposedly should circulate around a food,✌️
The liners are for easy clean-up. All air-fryers come with a rack for the bottom.
@freedomdove I know that, but unfortunately easy clean up = the food seating in the liner and no air circulation round it,that's all I'm saying
@@loveu2222 I know, but you can't be too picky when you're a nomad with no running water. Lol.
Here dude.😊
The way things are going we're all going to be living in our car truck and Van Life

Only if you want to, friend.
How do you keep at your stuff charged and run so much electricity?
I have 450 watts of solar on the roof
Did I see you using a wifi hotspot? If so, which one, how do you like it, how much do you pay?

Hah, I bet you basically came right by my house if you went up 81. I'd have bought you a beer, bro! :P
Still here Nate after all the years. Wings in an air fryer will make you truly love it!
how do you open the tailgate (so you can open the camper door) when you are inside the camper?
I leave it open. If someone were to close it, I can open it by reaching my arm out the window.
And then the heatwave came!!
Red baron is the best frozen pizza. Trust me.
Try Motor City Pizza. Walmart/ Costco. I love it. Deep Dish, yum

what do you do if someone closes your tailgate with you inside the camper lol.
Great question.
Just read in another commenter answered the question.
Might pay to play catchup with Nates videos!!
@@lesleyhughes3174 sounds like you’re being a smart as about it. Are you?
I know you can open the tailgate thru the window, but case of fire you need to be able to exit fast. I would figure a way to lock that tailgate open
