Try a real Seaside because the Helium technology takes it to a new level. You can have all that area up front but because it is so light it doesn't mess with the swing weight and you don't get the feeling that the nose is dominating the turns. Would really like to hear your comments after riding the Seaside.

Graham Allen hey! I was keen but Firewire didn’t have stock as they were all pre-sold to shops, and now it’s dragged on a bit I’ve moved on. I’ve heard they’re good, but pretty happy with this board here and definitely think it challenges the performance of the seaside, also swing weight isn’t an issue as it has been designed well. 👌

andres thanks mate! Would love to claim I did it myself, but it’s the work of Adrian Turner who paints all the JS team boards for Julian Wilson etc...

7 11 thanks! I guess it goes to show that sizing/volume is a personal preference!

Hunter Davis the double concave exciting the board is similar to the C.I/Campbell Brothers 3D - really deep and keeps water exiting the board quickly!

Another great review. Good to find a fish template that you can do more performance turns on.
I've always wondered how you find it riding such a low volume for your size. I've just dropped 3L for my new high performance short board. It feels great - I'll be reviewing it soon. But don't you find that you get to a certain volume where its hard to maintain speed?
I'm a big guy at 105kg and would love to ride less volume to access more performance shaped boards.

Big Guy Boards Surfboard Review Freddy has killed it with this template, super fun and easy to surf - all the benefits of a “fish”, but without the limitations they sometimes come with...
Regarding volume, it’s such a personal thing, and what works for one person doesn’t mean it’ll work for another.
What I miss in paddle power, I feel I gain with a board that performs and isn’t limiting when up and on a wave.
I rode a board at 34L this week not realising it was 34L but had the worst time on it bogging turns and catching rails. I jumped on a 31L version and the things one of my favourite boards ever!

Michael Duran the only similarity with the Seaside is that it has a fish style outline and I’m using the seaside quads. Bottom curves and concaves are all quite unique to the board.

They are very different boards, and they were surfed in very different conditions... But yeah, the Cymatic goes good!

Bryce Done it’s not EPS - i’d only mention it was EPS if it was as the majority of boards I ride are PU
