Use the default saw from serum. Add 90% Tube Distortion. Add default noise with 50% volume. Then add lowpass only to the saw and cut as much as u want.
You can do it either way, personal preference when it comes to drums. I use audio because I like seeing the sound waves but you can do all of your drums in midi if you want.
