I can't tell you how much respect I have for you. You are truly using your talents to bring beauty into the world, while other celebrities preach and pretend to be "just like us. " there is no pretense here, just an inner peace shining through a lovely smile and gentle voice. So wonderful!
Good afternoon from Kent in the uk ♥️ Thankyou for working for us and keeping our spirits up. My favourite book with the best Elizabeth Bennet ever reading 😊. Love Violet and your easygoing way. Staysafe everyone xxx
Violet upstages the reading. 9:30 "Did you just yawn? Am I boring you?" 10:12 Violet has "more feeling than politeness." 15:00 "But self ... though it would intrude ... (whine) ... could not engross her."
Thanks again! I love doing the evening kitchen clean-up with you every day 🥰 (I don’t think Violet yawned at Mr. Darcy’s entrance; I think it was a fan girl gasp! 😄)
Mr. Darcy probably had a hard time not taking Elizabeth in his arms to comfort her while she was crying. Now that could've led to an interesting scene.
Jennifer, I just watched your public announcement for Columbia Public Healthcare. I cannot thank you enough not only for the comfort you share daily in your reading P&P, but using your platform and acting experience to educate and encourage the public to be informed and safe during these turbulent times. Bless you and I pray you and your loved ones stay safe. Kindest regards
I can't believe this was 4 months ago. It both feels like yesterday and a lifetime ago. You reading P&P is one of my only good memories of this lockdown. Thank you ❤
This is one of my favourite parts in the story, especially in the BBC version with Julia Sawalha running down the steps, and laughing away as she gets in the coach with Wickham. I know Lydia is a real pain but I just can't help loving her.
@@tottiemae2258 I so agree! After P&P I saw her in Lark Rise to Candleford, and the contrast was just unbelievable. Shallowness and depth portrayed with the same degree of excellence. Top example of what acting talent means
In the BBC, Lydia is portrayed with a joyful and exuberant spirit. She has dark moments but these pass quickly, like a cloud across the Summer sun. She is entirely silly, but this can be excused because that can be expected in youth. It was her condescending airs toward her sisters are what I most disliked. That could not be justified.
WONDERFUL as always.. I see 'Violet still demands her piece of the conversation' .. Thank you again and again Jennifer, for making this weird time bearable.. Best wishes from Wales..
Thank you so much for re-reading the part about how attachments are formed. I have read this book dozens of times and for the first time tonight understood that passage. I didn't even know I hadn't understood it!
I look forward to this. You pup is truly interested in all the goings on, in the book as well as the outside!!! Thank you for reading to us. What a blessing you are!
Your black dog reminds me of my beautiful British Cocker that I got 1 year ago. He is gorgeous with black curly/wavy hair. I registered him:FitzWilliam Darcy; calling him simply Darcy!💓
"self-conquest", interesting word. Elizabeth is interpreting Darcy's thoughts, and this word is essentially synonymous with "dodged a bullet" vis-a-vis this Bennet bunch. 'the belief of his self-conquest brought nothing consolatory to her bosom, afforded no palliation of her distress.'
When and why does Elizabeth begin to fall in love with Darcy? We see she is already on that road by the time she informs him of Lydia's elopement. Elizabeth feels regret that her sister's folly will prevent any hope of his making a second proposal.
I have the audio book from long ago. I couldn’t wait so I found it & finished the book..... but it’s not nearly as good as listening to it here. So I will have to finish it twice.
You read uncommonly graciously. How is it, however that the mark on your upper lip appear on the right side, whereas it seems to be on your left hand side in some other pictures of yours. Pray, pardon my impertinence, but where is the truth?
How much do we love this sweet lady & her Violet ?? ❤️

"And Mr. Darcy appeared"
And: Here comes Violet!
LOL

Thank you Violet that was THE best and funniest version of P&P ❤️ 😂
'Exigence', I agree, it's a good word. Violet agrees, too. With exigence she's cleaning her human's glasses.
Thanks again! I love doing the evening kitchen clean-up with you every day 🥰 (I don’t think Violet yawned at Mr. Darcy’s entrance; I think it was a fan girl gasp! 😄)
I discovered the BBC series during lockdown and have been playing it on repeat as it seems comforting at this time. Thank you for this now too😊
Mr. Darcy probably had a hard time not taking Elizabeth in his arms to comfort her while she was crying. Now that could've led to an interesting scene.
I think he did take her hand and leaned in closer than we had ever seen him dare.

I recognize the dialogue from the mini-series/movie. It may be time to watch again.

Listening to your voice puts a smile on my face that lasts for hours!
This is the most excruciating chapter in the book. But our fair reader makes it bearable. Delightful even! 😊
Finding this is almost too good to be true, our favorite Lizzie reading P& P. And she's more beautiful than ever!

Julia Sawalha -- another favorite actress of mine. Able to play such diverse roles!

@@valkyriesardo278 that's just timeless, little sister energy (they always think they know better)

I've caught up! I have to wait now. This has been absolutely lovely to listen to thank you so so much ❤️

Bravo
Thank you
We love you
You are as beautiful now as you were almost 30 years ago!
Listening to this in 2021, what a treasure!
Beautiful! 😍 Love this! 😍

One can definitely tell that Violet loves you more than Mr Darcy ❤
