@@culhwch7656 no, u plant the carrots to get seeds. once u get ur first carrot harvest you get another "recipe" to plant.
@@culhwch7656 First you find a carrot, then before you plant the carrot in that menu you can see a carrot seed plant. Plant that, and you get like 2 or 3 seeds when it grows

No star = Tier 0/ Level 0
1 star = Tier 1/ Level 1
Will make life easier for you when you make future videos..
Or he could just count the stars, no point changing the wording when its all about the stars.
Constructive criticism, your naming convention is much more complicated than necessary. Just say no star, 1 star, or 2 star. It's faster and correlates directly to what they actually are. By changing it to level you sound like your confusing yourself and others watching.
Doesn't sound like he's confused. Whatever helps him remember best. Everyone has their own preference. No need to conform to what everyone else is doing.
Just call em stars instead of lvls. No star, 1 star, 2 star. etc...

One thing to note when you compared damages of the trolls. Their overhead swings do more damage then the swipe swings.
You forgot to mention Knockback resistance incrases with Stars, atleast I always can heavy hit stun Fuling Berserker no problem, but a 2 star Fuling Berserker would resist all the knockbacks, same thing happens with just normal Fulings, No Stars get stunt easy with Polearm stab, but Fuling with 2 stars wont get stunt with stabs, only heavy attacks.
It might be based on what % of their health you are doing with each hit.

4:44 It's not random. Both parents can have the baby and the star the baby has comes from the parent. ie. every boar can give birth, there are no male/females

I came upon a 3 star skeleton. He killed my little Norseman off pretty easily. Came back and carefully grabbed my stuff and got the flock outta there. Nice video!

Why call them by this confusing level system? Why not just say 0 star, 1 star, 2 star? Much easier to understand. Or tier 0, tier 1, tier 2? I don't get why you're forcing the "level" to start at 1. Why can't it start at 0?
Me and my friends call them by ''normal or tier 0, tier 1, tier 2'' I don't understand why we need to make a big deal about it. Haha

you can use t0/t1/t2 etc... It is consistent with the game, seing as the workbench without annything is lvl 0, and with one uppgrade is lvl 1. So the game uses unranked/unmodefied and a base, and using tiers(stars) as modifiers. So just use base/t0, then add stars at t1/2/3
I would have called them level 0, level 1, and level 2; then it fits the number of stars. :)

@@medleyshift1325 how is Python relevant? We're talking in-game UI here which clearly has monsters with 0 stars, 1 star, 2 stars, (etc.)
It makes sense to name them by their visual identification, thus zero star, one star, two star.
I've played plenty of MMO's/RPGs and it's quite common to call something that's 'not upgraded' a 'tier 0' item while enchanted/upgraded items then become tier/level 1, 2, 3 etc.

I'm not sure what console commands are available for solo game, in Ark, you could do that kind of thing just spawning it inside the trap to make content creation/ breeding easier.

question, if i have spawn point for boars near my base, can they actualy spawn with random level ? meaning if i will kill them off will they eventualy spawn lvl3 ? or do level 2 and level 3 animals have thier own spawn points aka i have to find them somewhere first and then can farm them ,?

How in the world do you move (say, the boars) around like that to gather them all together? Mine always seem to run off after a distance.
I assume it's like with taming wolves in mincraft, just get them to follow you, I type this because you can do the same with wolves in valheim(I've seent it on a stream). ..... just notice there's no prompt for it so I am most likely wrong.
Would be easier to call them Tier/Level 0, 1 and 2, it's less confusing.

Nice info, the terminology is confusing by no fault of your own. I'd argue no star, 1 star, 2 star, etc. rolls off the tongue just as well and has clear correlation between what is on screen and what is being discussed.

Regarding the wolves (and earth trapped trolls), did you spawn them in?
I ask because as of 2/24, the 1 star wolves only tame (or only eat, more specifically) at night and will despawn if you don't babysit them while taming (unsure if it's related to leaving the cell, getting a certain distance away, the wolf being out of sight or some combination).
I had 2 despawn during the process and the 1 star I babysat got confused on mountain pathfinding and ran off, when put on follow (probably to get killed by a rock golem or skelly archer, if it got stuck on terrain).
I was surprised you didn't mention this, if you tamed them in the wild as opposed to spawning, if the solo game has console commands available.
Imagine creating a moat around your place and harpooning/dragging a sea serpent into the moat lol.
At first I suspected they also have a higher chance of dropping trophies but I haven't tested it enough to know for sure
Thank you for the video, it is pretty easy to understand how the tier system works. I think the troll damage demo is a bit not fair, the normal troll dealt with his normal attack, whilst the 1 star troll dealt with his charged attack, which is usually more powerful. Other than that, to summarise the loot drop, it is doubled for the next tier. I am not sure if the developer is going to make the higher tier (3 stars, 4 stars, 5 stars) since intuitively the stats is doubled at each tier (imagine the tier 5 star greydwarf just deal you 128 damage with his humble scratching) and dropping 32x of the loot at 5 stars is pretty insane (also annoying when it is greydwarf eye).
I wish there was more taming. Like, taming a troll or something. :D It'd be cool to have a 2 star troll protecting your base haha.
Id rather not have a troll protecting my base, imagine a Boar or Greydwarf goes near the house and the troll swings

I would love to put that around my base as troll defense, while making it accessible by foot to me.
Then place a less expensive fence for everything else, while using the least amount of resources.

How you breed stars Wolf? I only find then in nigth, but after day arrive hes Just run and stop following and desapears If you go Far away.
Once you get a harpoon, it will be a lot easier to breed animals as you can pull them to your prepared enclosures for them, just don't switch weapons after harpooning them or the leash will detach. And don't try taming wolves if you haven't conquered the swamp yet, one wolf can kill a troll easily.
lvl 0, 1 and 2 would have been more intuitive
I've just finally realized how to est more food...at first I thought it was the whole "balanced diet" idea but you can eat a haunch of meat AND lizard tail on one hunger stack. I gotta experiment

@@suleymantahir1754 Pro tip: the Cattails in the swamp, the tall grass, are spot where water is shallow enough to run. That's how I skip through without problem..

Swamp and pains are the hardest biomes imo. Easiest goes meadows>dark forest>mountains with wolf armor cold protection, ocean.
Id rather deal with 3 serpents without a bow and only the faith in God than stare down a 2 star troll or a death skeeter in plains
pls go from 0-3, that would be much easier since it would correlate with the amount of stars

You forgot to mention. Loot scales exponentially. Also, 0-star drops are problematic, and depend on species.
0-star boars give between 0 and 1 meat - but you always get 1 leather scrap
1-star always give 2 meat
2-stars always give 4 meat
I built my base before I knew about taming..... is there a way to take tames through a portal and/or just spawn a 2+ star animal?
I would just call the boars without stars level 0. makes it much easier to talk about, without getting confused.

no stars = tier 0 .. 1 star = tier 1...2 start = tier 2....how i do it..seems more intuitive.

I'm still wondering if tier 1 can breed tier 2 after a long time without changing the lifestock. It's a chance to get a tier 2 piggy from just one tier 2 parent. Guess i'm just going to farm tier 1 boars to see if they breed tier 2 someday. because i have seen it's very buggy and difficult to tame and breed a tier 3 wolf and wouldnt it be nice if a regular wolfpack levels up eventually into a tier 3 wolfpack.

Any guide on how to set up a good running food supply? Like how to set up a good farm system to create a positive feedback loop?
The first is carrots, you need 5 bronze for a cultivator, and carrots from the black forest, 1 carrot seed nets 1 carrot, but 1 carrot can be planted for 1 seed carrot, which will drop multiple seeds, usually 3, so eventually, your producing far more carrots then you need for planting and can feed yourself, and tamed board ;D carrots can also be made into soup
Next honey, the ruined houses in meadow's can have beehives, shoot those down with a bow, and the hive will drop a queen bee, you can them build a hive, with enough hives (I have about 15) you get honey, with no input needed, and eating the honey straight is 20 health and stamina, not amazing, but it's literally free :D (you'll want the honey for mead anyway)
I know there is another crop like beets or turnips, but I haven't found them yet. Generally I hunt for meat, but I do have tamed board now, and they breed fairly quick, I'm not sure how many I will need to provide all the meat I need, but with carrots being so easy, it shouldn't be hard to build up my pig farm till I have excess meat :D

For consistency you shouldve been hit by the trolls by the same attack, the upwawrds down smash does more dmg in my experience
Does anyone know if the 2 stars can spawn more based on certain criteria? Things like: further from the center, more days passed, more bosses killed etc. Or are they just completely random?
my experience with wolfs is, that wolfs with stars only come at night, boars with 2stars i met only on an island far away from the center (i met 2 of them), 1star boars can be found on the start island though.
Not so sure if the days passed make a difference, it was late game when i found the 2star boars, but i found some 1star boars a short time after i started a new world.
For the boars, night and day doesn't make a difference, i found both of the 2 star boars at day.
Might want to call the basic creatures 0 stars or level 0. and then each star after that, increasing the digit :) then it would still be 1 star, level 1 etc
It's funny how a bunch of comments are criticizing him to describe the star levels as a specific word instead of the way he does it which is using star/level/tier names at various points in the video, yet all of the comments are telling him different things they think he should use... 🙄👌

Absolutely I throw away so much leather because I dont use it anymore. I have 6 stacks and throw the rest.
I could not find a lot of boars in the island i spawned it. So it helped me
if you go solo, then no. with a group, farming and taming is a MUST as the resources don't scale up with player number. That is also a pain with metals..
in my group we just call them one or two stars
How to find tier 3 boars and wolves?

Based on my own observations, what happened here is that the 2 star produced that 2 star offspring and the 1 star didn't breed (perhaps too many boars in the area since it has food available).
When I bred a 1 and 2 star boar, the 2 star birthed a 2 star and the 1 star birthed a 1 star. That may have just been coincidence.
After that, I separated them and culled the 1 stars since I had a parent pair of 2 stars at that point.
Either way, it's handy for breeding and rebuilding the herd after slaughter that each animal gives an offspring.
