As a random guy who climbed the ranked ladder, I cannot stress how important playing Deathmatch is. (Not TDM) learning the maps and taking as many in game fights with real people is the best way to improve mechanically, at least in my experience, and from what I’ve seen in lower rated players’s performances after giving them this advice. I think you’re on the right path of doing less aimlabs and more in game practice, but 3-5 death matches per session will seriously help you out so much.

I absoulutely love this series. For your yoru Utility I have some comments/tips.
TP - place 6 seconds before rounds start to instarotate to other site. throughout the round try to have a tp always active to back out. also you can combine with a flash to make a deadly combo.
Flash - when flashing an angle, try to throw the flash that they will only see it RIGHT before it pops. a way of doing this is looking straight down then a bit towards where you want to peek and the fast moving flash makes them panic. also flash out of smokes by looking straight down or at a slight angle to have an undodgeable flash.
Clone - Use your clone to decieve enemies on your position as you can place it down and activate it later. you can drop all your weapons and then send out a clone which will cause it to run with its knife out.
Ultimate - always have a tp to get out, if there are more than 1 and you dont have any teamate utility like breach stuns flashes etc, try and tp back. also using shotguns is effective. flash out of your ultimate for a more easy kills.
    Hope this advice finds/helps you!!

Hey, im not very good at the game either but something i realised is that you win most of the fights you take front to front, but you also get flanked very often, a tip i'd suggest is to be more cautious about your surroundings, either listening for sound tracks, checking the minimap or even looking around. Beisdes that, you are progressing really fast, good luck!

    4 things
    1. Mental, you mentioned it when you said you needed to grow a thick skin. you might not think it, but when youre tilted and feeling bad youll play a LOT worse, especially as a newer player. cant really say much about this but try to always praise yourself and feel the hype in your team when you do well
    2. Anticipation, I saw your other video when you tested your reaction time you got like 140 ms, which is INSANELY fast (gotta give credit). i brought this up because when you walk around blindly without thinking of where the enemy is, and only reacting after they peek you, you will struggle a lot more than you should. anticipation is key to reducing reaction time and its as simple as just being ready for a peek or a flash/stun and so on.
    3. Awareness, just being awake during the game and noting down details like enemy placements, hp, etc. just stay hydrated and do some little stretches to stay awake and listen to comms and sound cues as much as you can to stay aware
    4. Teammates, there will be a lot of times where its your teams fault, and a lot of times where its your fault, dont let either get to your head and ruin your mental. i really suggest playing with a friend because you wont have to be intimidated and questioning yourself whether you should comm or not, trust me even if its a duo youll feel a lot more comfortable than on your own
focus on those alongside aim routine and youll do just fine
love the content and i really hope the best for you
ignore the bad comments and have a nice day

Haha, this series is really helpful too, as I am currently a beginner and just started playing a few weeks ago and this is helping me so much. :) i know you probably wont see my comment but something that has helped me massively is changing my crosshair to a size 3 cyan dot it helps me so much when going for the god forbidden headshot and the only other tip i can give is for crosshair placement so basically if you look at the boxes how there is like 2 boxed stacked around the map you can use that for crosshair placement as an enemy is excactly one box tall so if your walking round the map put your crosshair at the top of the box and your set to one tap anyone ! :)

hey man, here is a quick tip for you :
You ALWAYS want to buy as many spells, guns and shields as possible after winning the first round of a side. For example, spectre full shield and full spell works in most cases for beginners. After that, if you win the second round, go for a « bonus round » for the third round, which consists of buying only spells and a bit of shield but don’t upgrade your gun. These valorant economy basics should grand you a strong economy, at least for the beginning of the game, and help you snowball way easier thanks to better equipment.
Hope this will help you in your journey ! Keep it up man !

Honest question. Have you honestly asked yourself if you have the fire and grit required to commit to this for the rest of the year? Losing weight is one thing, but you are committing to three different things, basically juggling live streaming, Youtubing, and gaming religiously for the r est of the year. What is your plan for the eventual and inevitable burnout? Even I recognize that my comment sounds negative, but it's should be a serious concern. I also want to state that I'm glad that there are older people who still have such passion and drive, and would be one of the first people to show up to your live streams whenever and wherever they are. Keep doing your thing.

I know it's hard not to feel self-conscious, but we are here to watch you progress. Both in Valorant and the gym. So don't feel like you need to hide whatever "imperfections" you may have. Nobody is perfect; and everybody starts somewhere. We love you. Keep it up.

7:40 this fight is AWESOME. Keep taking this type of fight a few times a game. One issue newer/lower rated players have is they make a great play, but either because it doesn’t pay off once, or in this case, you got two(!!), they think a good play is bad.
Opposite is also true, just because a play pays off once, doesn’t mean it’s good.
You could have easily killed all three here. The omen was slow at killing you, and fights like this are very hard to deal with even at high elo, and forces out early enemy util, which helps weaken the eventual site hit.

Whenever I play death-match, I like to put myself in in-game situations, like practicing going to site, practicing post-plant, trying different angles, and repeating these scenarios instead of focusing on kills! This helps me get use out of death-match and to obtain practice against better players. I hope this may help

Hello natty! Good to see this series going!
    ·From the point of sens:
A good sens to start is 400 dpi @0.6 in game or 800 dpi @0.3 or 1600 @0.15 (they are exactly the same).
For me 800 dpi is my confort zone but I saw a few pros changing to 1600 dpi the last years.
From that "main sens" you can start adjusting up and down.
For me is also mandatory to have a good mouse and a good mousepad (I don't really know which ones are you using currently).
·Playing DM I think is the best way to improve since it combines movement and aiming (also reacting to sound). Because 1st bullet accuracy is soooo important in this type of games some1 gave me the advice to play DM sometimes with Sheriff or Guardian since those weapons force you to really focus on hiting that 1st shot.
This gives you 3 things in my opinion:
1.- Ability to dominate pistol rounds.
2.- Increase aim with sheriff is good to play eco rounds (you normally buy sheriff and play vs rifles)
3.- Being good with sheriff definetly makes you a better player with rifles (but you really need to play DM with rifles aswell, that's for sure).
**When you know you can spray bullets you start shooting before having the crosshair on the target. When you know you only have 1 bullet you think twice before shooting I think.
Also if you go to OfficialBoaster channel (he's a fnatic pro player and he's playing Valorant since beta) you have a video of 4 years ago of him showing his full training routine. The video is this one: ruclips.net/video/yFaBG0iubXE/видео.html
Just to point it out, in that time DM was not available yet in Valorant.
    Best of luck.
I am just a random guy with +20 years of experience in first person shooters :=)

You were absolutely right, half of the time when we first start, deatch match is all about being backstabbed. But overtime, this will get you to check out corner more carefully and just warm yourself up. Death match will not help you much in the game in overall but it is a great way to have some prepare before rank

The point of deathmatch is to practice your awareness when taking fights and learning how to reset yourself between them. Getting shot in the back is inevitable, but can be minimized by good positioning.

Something that helped me get better in Counter Strike was thinking through what I wanted to practice in that match. After all, playing the game is the only way to get better. One match I'd focus on counter strafing, the next quickscopes, the next crosshair placement, flicks, etc. The more you practice, the better you get. Something else is their no need to be so hard on yourself. You've got a whole year to get better, and I promise you'll start seeing results if you're half as dedicated as you say.

A very good thing to do in val to improve is : every time you die , ask yourself why you died and fix the problem , I see you already do it in a way when you see your gameplay but if you also do it in game you will probably learn a bit faster I think. Your videos are good , keep it up 👍

I know there are some weird players in Deathmatch and you always get shot in the back, but it probably is the best way to learn the crosshair placements on all maps (maybe go in a custom once to look at the layouts of Lotus and Abyss but after that only games and deathmatches help). Keep it up man!

You have so much potentional! I see you are already doing vod's on your videos warming up before games and just in general having that mindset into the game! You also have great positioning and overall calls. You mostly need to focus on a slight bit more map knowledge and overall mechanical gameplay. For example getting a bit more stable aim, calm down and general just get used to the game! That takes time always but you are already gliding onto your way to radiant man! Just a month more and I believe you have made it far!
