CPA stands for Certified PUBLIC (not Personal) Accountant. I have a few years of bookkeeping experience under my belt and I still feel like I need to hire a CPA. Good advice for all, thanks again!
I am working on my Candle Company, under a different name, and I was hoping to open this winter season. However, I have a lot of testing and learning to do. I will not be opening until hopefully spring/summer time next year. I understand that the process can take a lot of time. I love your videos and I appreciate your time and information. Thank you very much!
I am at the present time doing the same thing in the process of testing hopefully by next year 2023 I can launch my business there’s so much and candlemaking and I am just trying to absorb as much information as I can good luck to you
Thank you, Erica, for your opinion, and pieces of advice, and being ready to share your experience. It's absolutely right, that whatever handmade business you started, you have to enjoy the process. This is your inner motivation to not give up.
Hi! You always talk about your followers being candle makers or business owners. I am neither! I just like following your journey in your business and as a content creator. I can just see you genuinely enjoying sharing your thoughts and experiences. Cheers!
Thankyou so much! I have gone through all processes and sorted everything! i just need to launch now! i have binge watched all your vids, you've really helped me through this whole process.Your channel is amazing!
Great and insightful video! We launched our business (home / body / pet cosmetics) lady week, and can totally resonate with what you discussed... especially the handmade aspect of a handmade business! It actually isn't discussed enough just how much you have to enjoy making the product 😁
Thank u for this video omg when u were talking about launching delays, I was thinking u have made this video for me 😂 really helping adviced , I am in the testing phase and since I am in India it's way too difficult to get the perfect wicks and oh God I am freking out because the CA we have choose is worst so many times they are denying my business name
Hi there! Question for you!! What do you with candles you’ve made that didn’t have a strong HT? Give them away as gifts? Or is there anyway to salvage them to sell?
Always enjoy and LISTEN to your videos. You are improving all the time. Thank you for keeping your hair in a ponytail..it is so distracting watching people play with the hair or whatever. And thank you for not showing your dog..only because some people or potential customers might be upset by viewing your dog being in the area where you make the candles and possibly when your dog shakes the dander and loose hair could end up in a candle or in supplies..some people are like that unfortunately. I have 2 big dogs..so I am an animal lover..I was just adding some advice because there are people or potential customers out there that aren't dog or animal lovers..just a thought!! Keep up the good work and much success to you and your company.
Hello, when registering your name Did you register it under Memory Box Candle Co, or Memory Box Candle Company? I am inquiring because I want to know if my marketing would need to say Candle Co or Candle Collection or Candle Company. Can I just use Co.?
Hello! I’ve tried many diff wicks with my candles and always had problems with tunnelling, I finally found a wick that has a full melt pool, However the flame is now high! And flickers. So I know it’s too big. My candle is 84mm height and 70mm diam. i was told eco 12 but that’s what’s causing the high flame. Should I try an eco 10? Thankyou!
Hi Erica, my name is Maria I would like to start my candle busines I would like to know if you’re still using wax 464 on which wick do you use? Thank you have a good day.
Hi! I was wondering, is it safe to buy candle vessels from amazon? I’m trying to figure out my vessel and I love some of the designs on amazon but I’m nervous it will be unsafe in some way.
Topic idea for part two... "That's a little EXPENSIVE for a candle." 😅Always a favorite thing to discuss with someone who thinks $3 is a lot for a candle from Walmart. Anyway, how to respond in a professional manner in defending the price, work, product, etc. Boy that comment makes my blood double boil. I defend it fairly well on my own as do my customers who know what they are buying and the value in the products. I know that $13.44 plus tax for a candle that is 7.44oz is actually a really good deal for a Handcrafted product, but there are always the people who shop cheap and with the comments to do with it. 😥 Very few and far between of course, but yeah.

What would you say are the most important pieces of information to put on the label of wax melts besides a warming label, company name and net weight.
FYI, a CPA is not a certified PERSONAL accountant, it’s a certified public accountant.
Whoops I misspoke! Sorry about that 😅
I’m in my testing stage 💕
I am in the testing phase, but hoping to be ready by early to mid 2023
