Nah, abby didn't even have drach'nyn then and wasn't super warp juiced. Abby needed to win the fight quick because an enemy deathguard force was closing in on his fleet. Abby deliberately took a wound to end the stalemate in the fight. Abby was impaled, but siggy was literally torn in 2.
It's almost as if these guys get buffed by their competitiveness when they operate in legion sizes instead of chapters. Easiest way to put it would be like this , imagine becoming the first captain of the imperial fists in 40k. You need to be good. There's 999 other imperial fists who might be just as good as you. Now imagine being the first captain of the imperial fists LEGION. You need to be REALLY BUILT DIFFERENT to stand out that much.
Worth noting that his skill was so good, that the night lord in question couldn’t defeat him because Sigismunds skill with a blade was so vastly outclassing him that even with the ability to literally see the future, if the Night Lord followed the rules of the duel, he would have lost.

I don't know if they fight in another book, but Sevatar and Sigismund fought in Sigismund: The Eternal Crusader by John French, where they explicitly call Sigismund the best fighter in the pre-heresy imperium. In that book Sevatar and Sigismund fought for an entire day and as dawn was approaching SIgismund had positioned himself past Sevatar's gaurd and was going to deal fatal blow to Sevatar's head. Sevatar then head butted Sigismund to evade the blow. Which, for whatever reason, is dishonorable and someone, I think it was one of Sigismund's battle brothers, ended the fight. So it was basically a draw for an entire day and then Sevatar head butted Sigismund and that was it. Honestly, a really disappointing part of the book.
He's also one of the very few Space Marines who has murked multiple Champions from all four of the Chaos Gods. When he was sent out to fight as many Chaos Champions as possible he took it to heart and stomped HARD
Dorn really fucked Sigismund up, he condemned Sigismund to a life of immense soul rending shame, never able to achieve his father's forgiveness, while having to appear as a paragon of the Imperium. Dorn never forgave him.

There are currently living Space Marines that would be a match for him. Logan Grimnar comes to mind if we are talking about pure warrior might. That one is a toss up but I'm pretty sure many would pick Logan if they had to chose.
Garro was an average solider with good ethics. Never specifies anything involving his ability. He didn't beat anyone in a duel, he didn't do much notable fighting, even.
