Love hearing your review !!! I’ve heard so many good things about Esembly.
Thank you!!
I’m so happy to see you posting again! I’ve been watching your back catalog in the meantime.😂 I had a question for you in regard to your wash routine! I saw you add vinegar to your prewash which I think is an AWESOME idea since it neutralizes ammonia. However, I was curious if you’ve had any issue with your elastics falling apart or your PUL not working? I’d love to add vinegar to my pre wash but am not wanting to kill the life of my diapers.
Hi! Thank you! It's nice to be back!
No I haven't really had much of an issue with using vinegar and the elastics wearing out too fast. They seem to wear at a normal rate. I have used vinegar for years and my diapers usually go 4ish years (through two kids), before they seem too worn to hold the moisture in. I just don't soak them in the vinegar, but adding to a regular wash I've not had a problem with :)
How many diapers do you go thru a day? And how many inners would you recommend and how many outers
That is so trim!
You mentioned sticking with all natural fibers? What do you think about adding a fleece liner? Esembly offers one and makes it sound sooo much easier dealing with solids, but I get that it would be adding a synthetic material into the mix? But it does seem like the fleece they use is supposed to be safe for babies...
Does your baby still fit in a size 1 at 8 months ?
It wasn’t cloth-ez diapers that you were using and didn’t like on Vivian, was it? I was about to place an order on green mountain diapers. 😅
Haha noooo! I looovvee the cloth-ez 😍
What is your reason for cloth diapering instead of using disposable diapers? Lots of love
Saves waste and money, and it also healthier for baby!
@@WilsonHomestead yes for sure. I started cloth diapering my
Babies because we were struggling to
Afford the disposable diapers. It was so difficult every month worrying about how to afford diapers for 2 babies.
@@WilsonHomestead do you also keep disposable diapers on hand ? I use disposable diapers for night and for out and about
What age or size of baby does the size 1 fit properly?
7-17lbs is the general reccomendation for the esembly brand but it depends on your babies shape some won't fit at one end of the spectrum and some babies can use a tad longer. Also usually at the small end of the spectrum it might fit huge and at the high end it could be too tight or possibly not absorbant enough depending on the baby. All babies hit 17lbs at different ages, my niece was 25lbs by 5 months and would have been out of that size much earlier and my daughter is 7 months and 15lbs but has a tiny waist and only on the second snap from the center so likely could fit them past the 17 lb mark. If you haven't had kids yet you could maybe ask your parents and your husband's parents how big you were as babies and kind of use that to estimate if they have a record of it but otherwise it can be hard to know ahead of time. Some people can make these work from birth and some babies like preemies will be too small for them. I didnt start using these from birth but my daughter was 4lbs 3oz and these would have been absolutely massive at that time. Hope this helps.
