A couple important things for people that want to go clamming (apologies if I missed you mentioning these in the video): 1. *always* check the bio toxin hotline or wherever it is listed for your area's Department of Fish and Wildlife before you go clamming. There are occasional algae blooms that make bivalves deadly to eat and you need to make sure they are safe! 2. Fill in your holes after you dig! 🖤
I live in Washington state and when I was a kid my parents and I with a few of their friends would go clam digging at Moclips Beach...my mom would dip them in egg , flour and panko and make fried clams, tastes good with Tarter sauce. My mom also used razor clams to make an awesome homemade clam chowder. Maybe try it fried with the panko mix and see how you like them.

23:50 you just make ONE lengthwise slice along the bottom to "butterfly" open the foot, then you can squeeze the "poo" out... Then lightly flour and fry it in butter and add some sea salt and Meyer Lemon juice, they ARE better a bit on the "rare" side too so they aren't chewy!😉
If you didn’t buy a clam gun I would have suggested DIYing an inexpensive one made from PVC! Great video as always! Happy to see you have a sweetheart, hope to see more of them!

That's an exciting experience! For the first time, three days ago, I saw so many mussels on the California ocean rocks. They were like ants stuck on the rocks from a distance. I was so excited! Took videos and pictures. Didn't pick them because I did not know the requirements/authorization to pick them. Later, read that you needed a fishing license and cannot use any tools to get them off the rocks.
We were there in December! Darn didn't run into you. Was really fun, I love going to Ocean Shores. My favorite place to unwind. Thanks for sharing! Have a Happy New Year! God Bless.
Wow if I lived in the WA coast I would do this every weekend. Fresh razor clams and seafood catch and cook! Great food, scenery, fresh air, nature... fun times - what more could you ask for?
OMG, I was always thinking when you was gonna post, and today it the day! 😀 I didn't even start watching this video yet but by this thumbnail i know that it was be very interesting.
I remember doing this while living in Washington- if you ever go Razor claming again bring a squeeze bottle with a nozzle on it and fill it with salt. Pour a bit of salt down the hole you find during lowest tied and we’re the water won’t wash up as high- the clam will actually half dig itself out trying to get rid of the salt.
My family has my grandpa's clam guns and we go to Long Beach. My favorite way to make them is lightly pounded out, washed in milk, coated with Old Bay seasoned breading, and deep fried in shortening or lard. Lard is best. Happy eating!!
Your excited noises upon finding the clam shows us how much you wanted them and it that it does pay to keep going at it, super cute reaction mina, Happy New Year to you and your dear ones, as always love your videos🤗.
Im not sure if you figured out how to use the clam gun eventually but there is a hole under the handle that you have to cover with one of your fingers while you pull up. The hole is on the underside of the handle bar. That creates the suction that pulls the sand out. The little tube on the side of the clam gun allows air down into the hole while pull up and makes it easier but doesnt make the sand stay in the main tube.
Hi Ms. Mina! We watch your channel as a family and we love your videos. My daughter who is in 1st grade has been asking me to send you a hand written message but looks like I’m unable share a pictures on the comment section, so I wanted to share her sentiment. Take the diggers and grind them up for clam chowder, take bodies dip in flour and fry in butter or cut up bodies not diggers make tempura batter add chopped benishoga red ginger and green onions and fry by the spoonful. Dip in ponzu. It’s hard work with shovel you have to stick your hand down and reach for the clam. Clam gun is easier. You have to stick your hand down the hole to get the clam
It made me smile when Miss Mina said "My Sweetheart" like go girl!! When are you getting married?? Ahahha just kidding... We love you and respect your private life but I wanna know is this the same guy that was with you on your Iceland trip last last year?? Just curious.. LOL I wonder if we might have PASSED each other on the BEACH out there at Copalis! (Pronounced like "Co-pay-liss"😉) I was out there a TON of times this season with my Father and a Korean buddy of ours and his Grandparents! KUDOS for trying to dig Razor clams the HARD way with a shovel! While it IS easier in a way to dig them "legally" by digging beside the clam with a shovel, then "feeling" how big the clam's shell is without disturbing them to pick out only the bigger clams and leaving the small ones, it's WAY harder than with a big clam gun and looking for bigger "holes"! The SHRIMP holes are a HUGE distraction and a TOTAL waste of effort! So if you're finding small holes without clams you're in the wrong spot! You want to look for big 2"-3" rings in the sand with nearly a 1/2" hole in the middle for the "big ones"! If you tap your clam gun on the hole and see some "SQUIRT" out of it THAT'S a CLAM! No squirt it's a SAND SHRIMP! The clams will also cluster together in "slightly" HIGHER mounds of sand on the beach vs the lower spots, and when you find ONE look for MORE in the same area! Hit me up next season if you want to have a "guided" dig and get your limits quick! We usually limit out in less than an hour or two out there! We only blanch the clams long enough to see them "react", their shells will open up when they're "done" blanching and they all can be a bit different so a set "time" isn't a good indicator... We then flour them and fry them until the flour turns golden and serve them with some sea salt and some "sweeter" Meyer Lemon juice, they turn out AMAZING! 😍
Happy 2022 everyone! Wishing your new year be filled with utmost health and pleasant surprises ❤️ Whatever your goals may be, sometimes we may not succeed at our first try (like in this video hehe). But with patience and perseverance, hope you get closer and closer to making your dreams a reality!

Hi i'm from Bangladesh
That's Washington.
happy new year
Wow...u have a sweetheart now! 💕
You take the most awesome trips and adventures.
We moved to Washington 2-3 years ago and I'm just trying to explore this state as much as I can! Stay tuned. More to come! 🎉
Your sweetheart?? awww. So happy for u. And the coastal WA is always a fun visit.
There is something so calming about your vlogs! Tremendously enjoy watching them!

2. Fill in your holes after you dig! 🖤
I don't think I have seen anyone razor clamming who fills their holes. If you wait for 1 or 2 waves there will be nothing to fill.
It is not a requirement to fill in holes from digging razor clams because the incoming tide will redistribute the ocean beach sand.
"fill your holes" is more for those who fish for manilla clams amongst the rocky shores
You have a man now 🤩🤩🤩🤩

Dip in ponzu. It’s hard work with shovel you have to stick your hand down and reach for the clam. Clam gun is easier. You have to stick your hand down the hole to get the clam
I died at ‘Horizontal Rain’. I’ve been in that situation 😂
It made me smile when Miss Mina said "My Sweetheart" like go girl!! When are you getting married?? Ahahha just kidding... We love you and respect your private life but I wanna know is this the same guy that was with you on your Iceland trip last last year?? Just curious.. Btw thank youuu for your videos💖 You helped me a lot during difficult time, your videos are like therapy for me🥺. .. I love you and thank you❤️😊
Hi, Mina. I love your show.
It’s so nice trip take care and enjoy
Looks so much fun. Wish we had these clams in Hawaii.
When they process Geoduck, which is a big razor clam, they boil and pull that outer skin off it.
Happy New Year 2022!
I always look forward to your video, lots of information, beautiful scenery, your voice is so soothing and calm to my ears, and I must say this video makes me smile when I heard you mentioned "my sweetheart and your cute dog" looking forward for your next video with your sweetheart and dog. Send my regards to Mummy oh❤️
In England we just pour some salt over the clam whole and they pop out and you grab it. It’s normally pretty easy
Cooking it over fire is also quite good. Dipping it in Korean Ssamjang is also quite nice
Love this video 😍
The way that she just finds her first ever clam and just shakes around make me really happy for cause she got one 🤣😂🤣😂🤣🤣🤣😂
Hello Miss Mina happier New Year to u and Ma,ma.🤙🕊
When she was talking it looked like her lips were numb 😂😂
That's real cool. Too bad you guys didn't do like the hard core hunters and were not on the beach at 4:30 AM! 😝The sunset was incredible though!
Happy New You Miss Nina To You And Momma O !!
woooow you are soooo awesome I love your videos!!!!
Omg I love your videos so much!
