What a pleasant way to start my day! I have my black coffee and looking through my messages, saw this video and was pleasantly surprised because I LOVE mushrooms! On pizza, burgers, soups, stews, in omlettes, as a side... anyway is fine for me! Chanterelles! I feel fancy just saying it lol! I've never been mushroom picking (too scared I'd pick up the wrong one) but this was a good idea to get a guide! To be honest I have never seen some of these mushrooms before but they sure look delicious! I'm imagining how it would taste in doenjang-jjigae or as a pizza topping on some of these lol.
Great idea! Cauliflower mushroom in doenjang-jjigae would be so good 😍 Wishing you a mushroom-licious day ahead and thanks for starting it with our video!
You haven't uploaded in a while! Love your channel! Also 3 days ago my cat died. He has a sickness called diaphragmatic hernia and a cancer called lymphoma. April 11 2020 - October 12 2021. He was so young to die. Rest in peace 💛
Another great video Ms. Mina! I started growing mushrooms from mushroom kits because of your videos. Would def like to try foraging for mushrooms next though I still need to do research about the species. ☺️
Congrats Mina, to a successful mushroom hunt. Especially the chanterelles. They belong to mushroom royalty and often live in symbiosis with oak, hazel, beech. I generally suggest to avoid mushrooms growing on trees and dead wood.
Happy to hear you find my content relaxing ❤️ I'm currently preparing to make more art videos, but on another channel. All about relaxing creativity. Stay tuned!
I love your videos so much, they're so calming and interesting, and I absolutely love how you truly take interest in your hobbies and put in the effort to know more about it.
I truly didn't think I would enjoy watching mushroom videos until Miss Mina. These look amazing and so many different types! Looking forward to more of these videos and what you can find in the PNW!
I love chanterelle, but because I’m disabled I can’t get out into the forest to forage for it myself :( But some years ago a neighbor came by with chanterelle as he’d been out foraging, and it was just so good! Can buy fresh chanterelle in grocery stores here as well when it’s in season but it’s just super expensive even on good mushroom years, so if I buy chanterelle I settle with the canned version due to how expensive fresh ones are. I mostly have champignons and portobello though as those are less expensive and easier to find in the grocery store anytime of the year. I love using portobello in a very creamy gravy (like really, don’t even try to count the calories of it, butter fried mushrooms and plenty of heavy cream!) or use them in an omelette. Chanterelle is amazing with reindeer meat or just fried on a piece of toast
Hello same goes with me i would really to experience mushroom picking one day, but since im also disabled and living in Philippines i'll just have to work myself harder for me to walk again someday. Prayers to you 🙏 Sorry for the bad English
Mina you are so pretty!! I love your videos they are so relaxing and it’s so naturery! I’m kind of early I have really been watching but I still love your videos! You inspire me.
So fun and informative. Thnx for sharing and I definitely will be following you. Chicken of the Woods is one of my all time favorites where I live in Central New England. It's been wet wet wet this year and there are outrageous numbers of mushrooms everywhere!
Hi Miss Mina. New subscriber. Love your videos. I live just east of Everett in Granite Falls. I can mushroom hunt in my own back yard. Have been out a lot since the rain is back. Love this video!!
This popped up on my feed and I’m actually glad that I was able to watch it.. I’ve b bet gone foraging before, mostly because I’m not educated enough to tell which is edible. But seeing how passionate these guys are about this is so heartwarming.
When you walk in the woods you realize how many living things are completely oblivious to your being and the world you know. Each time its a new discovery.
Woohoo! Funghi love you too! Stay tuned for more mushroom videos. I filmed a couple "Growing Mushrooms at Home" type videos, but the editing process has been a little constipated lol. Hope to pop them out in late November and December ❤️
@@MissMinaOh I have seen you put your heart into it❤️❤️❤️ I love you as a person growing spiritually, mentally and physically. You inspired me and others to learn through the life journey. Hey miss Mina, what I see in your thumbnail is that mushroom looks so weird and interesting that I've never see before. If I come to America I will love to hunt for mushroom when summer time has come. Thanks for sharing!
I haven’t seen your channel in a while it’s good to be back I remember watching the one I saw when you had like ten thousand logs in your house growing a lot of different kinds of mushrooms lol
Cool video. I found Maitake today. I found alot of chantrelles back in July. I would like to try cauliflower mushrooms. They dont grow in Indiana to my knowledge.
#84!!! Wow! Never that low!!! Great vid! 10:42 Mina is so descriptive! 17:30 More detailed descriptions! Finally....Mona: "How does my butt look?" Dan: "Good!" Ahhh....yessssss! You should come hunt the prized Matsutake near Olympia/Shelton in the pines! Plus boletus scaber near birch trees and the Slippery Jack near small pine bushes in landscaping.
Hi! I just recently found your channel and had to subscribe immediately! I love your videos so much they are so relaxing and inspiring. I can’t wait for it to be chanterelle season over where I live
If you are in the PNW you may be able to find Chanterelle, Hedgehog, Oyster, and many other foraged mushrooms in Safeway produce sections. They tend to be 25-45$ a lb but if you are like me and just want a taste of that wild you can pick up a few mushrooms and it wont be crazy on the wallet. It really is a perk of the fall time here in WA! I know for sure that the Whidbey - Oak Harbor Safeway market has them in this week!
I wish we could be friends and I wish I could see forests like that! I live in a city (new Orleans) and I still find lots of nice edibles in our park forest (mostly chanterelles my favorite!) but it's NOTHING compared to the amazing diversity you have there
It’s interesting that I also forage in Washington but the chanterelles we find are almost 2 times bigger that the ones you found. They are almost all white so they might be a different type of chanterelle.
