- This past month I've been growing different kinds of mushrooms, including Oyster Mushrooms, Lion's Mane and Reishi! Using ten kits and logs, which will grow the fastest? And which are the tastiest? Watch the video to find out!

UPDATE (February 10, 2021): I'm currently filming a sequel to this video to show you guys how much the Reishi Mushrooms and Cordyceps Militaris grew up. They're all very tall now! The three Oyster Mushroom grow kits are on their 3rd and 4th harvest. Stay tuned because we also are waiting for the mushrooms logs to kick in (hopefully in a couple weeks). And the replacement kit for the one that got trichoderma is coming in the mail in a couple days. Woohoo! More edible mushrooms to come!

right. so very much energy, love and cute friendly energy, no wonder the mushrooms are happy. I found it very interesting that you Miss Mina could feel the mushrooms on your skin. My daughter has many allergies, and this is interesting.
Mushrooms did wonders in my life. I was diagnosed with cptsd since my teenage, spent my whole life fighting cptsd. Also suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Not until my wife recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 8 years totally clean. Can you help me with the reliable source. I'm 56 and have suffered for years with addiction, anxiety and severe ptsd, I got my panic attacks under control myself years ago and they have come back with a vengeance, I'm constantly trying to take full breaths but can't get the full satisfying breath out, it's absolutely crippling me, i live in Spain. If you don't want the mushrooms to be chewy, first fry them on pan without oil, they will release water they contains. When the water evaporates, just add oil and spices, then the mushrooms will be soft and melt in your mouth. Enjoy your meal ;)
i just used an essicator, dry with some salt are good as well
To avoid a chewy consistency letting the mushrooms sweat their moisture almost completely before adding butter or oil will help tremendously. I put my mushrooms in a medium heat pan, not too hot or they burn. And let them sweat out, keep reducing until golden brown and water is evaporated. season, add butter and garlic. Bomb bomb 🤤

Been watching mushroom videos ALL day since I got an oyster mushroom kit yesterday. This video is my favorite! So much enthusiasm. It's a little scary to think how much she spent on all those kits but I'm glad she did. Makes me want to try other mushrooms. Lion's Mane for sure.

For people interested, I grew oyster just from cardboard. All you need to buy is the mycelium online, then get cardboard for free, mix and wet the carboard with the mycelium, then store somewhere near sunlight. Cheap, easy and effective method. I grew about 3 full grocery bags from one cardboard box stuffed with more cardboard. If you do decide to store them outside somewhere which can help because apparently mushrooms grow better with fresh air around, be weary of slugs; slugs ruined one of my batches which i ended up reusing to start a new one. Once the mushrooms grow out the carboard, just take the old white cardboard and mix with new wet carboard. Carboard is really good because It keeps the mushrooms wet.

I absolutely love your video of you and your mom are adorable you did such an awesome job with cultivating them I have a grow kit but I lost the instructions so I decided to look online and I found you
I have a friend who grows mushrooms as he's a mushroom scientist (I forgot their names lmao), and what he does to like cook them and all, he doesn't take the root all the way out, he leaves a bit of the stem in the kits and they carry on growing.
You can usually use kits more than 1 time. If you have a sterile area you can grow the mushrooms in, you can even leave petri dishes out near the mushrooms as they grow and catch spores so you can start growing more. I started growing shiitake and oyster shrooms that way.
I left the stem bits in one time and they rotted so I had to make a bigger hole and chop off the rotting grossness so I could grow more, maybe certain mushrooms can grow from stem like u say

If you'd like a stronger consistency to your edible mushrooms (especially Lion's Mane), you might want to dehydrate them on a pan by searing them on a low heat 1st.
This will allow them to cook through evenly & bring a better mouth-feel to the dish in my opinion.
I love this bc it's showing me so many more how to grow them.

I’d be cautious to grow mushrooms at home. I’d worry to get spores everyone and end up with mushrooms growing in my carpet. But boy did you make me want to try this, just maybe outside in the backyard somewhere.

I love looking at and touching mushroom but don't eat them. Once I tried it and it was like rubber I think. Maybe I was too young and should try again. I don't know how I came across this video, but it's hilarious and I can't stop watching.
This all looks delicious! I foraged a huge lion’s mane a few years back. Several pounds. I cooked lots of batches just as you did, except I used butter, and they tasted very much like scallops. I froze several batches and they kept for months.

Do your research on spores before you do....and know the dangers. Oyster mushrooms produce a lot and should not be done in enclosed places. People that grow them professionally can even run into problems.

@Madhav Ignihir I live in the Philippines. I think fresh mushroom is very rare here because I haven't seen any haha
I grew up eating canned/jarred mushrooms as a kid. I was obsessed with them to the point that when I finally got to have fresh mushrooms for the first time I was repulsed by the difference in flavor/texture. But a couple taste tests later and I could never go back. So when you get the chance to try them fresh, give it a couple shots because they're a completely different experience
Not to sound snotty but. If you have only had canned mushrooms then you havent really experienced mushrooms. I highly encourage you to try some!
