This is a great video, and address a lot of my misconceptions with Sin in M+. I think a video maybe of you running a key with some commentary would be a great next video with the two builds :)
Great videos Whispyr, would love to see some m+ reviews from you where you explain ur decisions and your actions and how to adjust openers etc ! Keep it up
This is exactly the guide I was looking for. I'm a disc priest main but my true love is my sin rogue that I mostly just run low 20's with, and the single biggest issue has always been that shit just dies way before my burst even fully got rolling. I was almost hoping that the other 2 dps sucked so I could pump harder haha. So these faster builds were exactly what I needed. I think I'm gonna just run the full caustic spatter cleave build on tyrannical and then try the full bleed centric build on fortified with crimson tempest because I absolutely love watching sudden demise pop a mob from damn near 50% of its hp haha. So satisfying but I think on tyrannical I need more boss dmg cuz I don't like being out single-targeted by my Outlaw rogue friend! Thank you for this video man!
Glad you covered the Cleave build and its benefits of accelerating. Been running it in the 24+ range and all your points are correct. Keep up the good content
Thx alot! I ran 18-20s and I mostly met dhs and hunters, their melting down almost every pack, with seemingly no downtime... I hope this will help me out.
Love the raid cleave in high tyra, you're pretty much owning every boss (which is the point of tyra) while doing respectable cleave damage during packs that aren't much of a threat anyway during the key Arterial is fun during fortified, hybrid kinda sucks because it's hard to keep evenom uptime on bosses without blindside
Love the aerterial build, fun to play and reason i rolled assassin was when i saw the sudden demise talent, just love it. A bit annoying on tyranicall weeks since you feel abit weak on the boss fights. Also wish aerobatic strikes was better positioned in the talent tree, problably the only thing i can complain about in the talent tree. such a quality of life talent should be easier to pick! =)
Acro is a dps talent by nature of it allowing uptime when otherwise not possible, so it’s not classified as a quality of life talent, which is why it is where it is
Hey whisper, really appreciate the recent videos, just out of curiosity, which one these build is your preference? is there one you notice you do more with than others? which one do you use more than others?
I don't have too much of a preference honestly, I play whatever speaks to me that day and it's all kinda the same. For a while I just played around in arterial-land, swapped some stuff around, just kinda felt it out. But all the builds are perfectly playable and the damage is good across the board so it's really up to whatever you think works best for you
Maybe this warrents another video, but the opening is all well an good, but what do u do 1 min into boss encounter (Deathmark and Vanish is on CD) and adds spawn and u want to go into another AOE window. How do u spread your poisons? Do u sacrifice Shadow Dance so u can spread bleeds with Indicriminate Carnage? Or do u simply dump everything into a single target and relly on Caustic Spatter? Ive seen many assassination guides and haven't seen one video address this point. You also have an Idiscriminate Carnage window AFTER Vanish (at the end on Kingsbane) which I assume one should use to refresh Garrote and Rupture on as many targets as possible? Thanks for all you effort! Your doing an amazing job!!
You always garrote from dance every minute so that should cleave naturally. You can also rupture in that window during cleave to spread a rupture A lot of the time in mythic+ you would also be holding onto vanish to use whenever needed to go into a carnage window. That being said, there’s very few situations on m+ bosses where I would go out of my way to get carnage up. Most of the time, the adds are just not alive long enough to warrant the effort, and you would just cleave them with spatter, or at most hit them with a rupture for some quick energy
So I tried the cleave build for the first time this week. And I really love it. I'd like to just play this build going forward. But am I just trolling if I play it on fortified weeks? Cuz it definitely does a little less overall. But I just like the play style way more.
you should be able to use the catalyst to instantly get your 4 piece multiple times over, use it to catalyst yourself new pieces on the different tracks (veteran/champion/hero/myth)
Hey Whispyr! Big fan of your videos and it improved my gameplay as an assa a lot - getting this out of the way ;): At your first "classic" rotation on the training dummys, could it be that you didnt switched targets at all and the double garrote / six target garrotes got spread equaly / just refreshed itself at the three inital targets that garrote hits the first time? Best regards, Leaf
there's only 5 dummies so I have no need to switch on them. Carnage smart targets things that don't have the bleed yet, so its safe to apply garrote to the target, carnage cleaves 2 other targets. That's 3/5 targets with garrote. With the next garrote I cast, carnage would automatically cleave the 2 that didn't get hit the first time as a priority, so the target I pick is irrelevant
Nice video . But even after rework cant put numbers like other classes … first pull in +24 everbloom wl dh doing more than 1M and i struggle to pass 700 k..dont know its me or its just another patch that assa cant do shit
@alucard7615 that is exactly how i feel, i cant do more than 98k overall on M+ because my cooldown are always going to waste since everything just disappears, i really dont know how to fix it, maybe i'll try to accelerate the cooldowns as shown by whispyr to see if that will change something :(
@@alucard7615 im low ilvl doing M+ range between 13-16 and i cant do much dmg since everything just melts. Im always doing spreading my bleed before trying to go on cooldowns i dont ser how that can be wrong

You cant compete with dhs they are insanely broken right now
Thank you for making this video, I know I was asking about it the other day in rogue disc. I’ve wanting to learn more about these different builds.
Hiya! Thanks for this video its super helpful. Ive been struggling with this problem as I've only been doing 20's so far and its been rough.

Thanks a lot. I have a possibly stupid question, how do I use Ambush after Garotte at the start when I need to be in Stealth?
subterfuge lets you use stealth abilities, it's a talent

probably will be fine, just gotta believe in caustic to carry you I guess
So, for those of us starting out that dont have a 4 piece. Which build should we start with?
you should be able to use the catalyst to instantly get your 4 piece multiple times over, use it to catalyst yourself new pieces on the different tracks (veteran/champion/hero/myth)

I tried some Tyran 17s last night with a warrior and a couple with a frost dk. Yeah everything dies before the last tick of Kingsbane
Yep, it’s a fun time
without tier set bonus what build you recommend? Im using currently arterial one and crimson tempest is one of my biggest damages in Mythic +
without tier set bonus I would recommend getting a tier set bonus :P Arterial sounds fine
so cleave build for higher keys and shock build for lower keys ?
pretty much
do you spread rupture on every single target in aoe or that is just too much work for little value?
You want to spread to cap on scent stacks, or get more energy, otherwise don’t spread
What's the best spec for 18-20s a fast output damage?
Something with a lot of instant burst, hunters, havoc, mages, warlocks, warrior, shaman. Anything that isn’t a damage over time based spec

@@whispyr5793 well ..the problem is the pack dies in less than 10 sec even with that ur saying i should do more?

It´s hard for me to find M+ Groups above +16.
Feels like noones want to play with rogue.
