Awesome, we rlly don't deserve you Whispyr.
That video was so useful. I was "pooling" completely wrong!
Thanks guy. I'm loving assassination now. So underrated and topping dps in mythic plus
I would like to say that these videos have helped me improve significantly, like always, thank you Whispyr. 🙏
All of your guides are incredible and i couldnt reccomend them more for anyone learning rogue!
Love the breakdowns! Even an idiot like myself is able to follow along. Appreciate you :)
Amazing guide as always :D. Thanks for anwering my questions :D. IT is kinda tricky
Appreciate ya Whispyr! Thanks for the content
Thank you for the explanation! You are a Gem!
Thank you mate, keep up the good work
first off solid breakdown. I've mostly been playing this way, but I didn't finish at 4, instead building 5/6.
the m+ build is slow, very true. so my question is surrounding m+ specifically. Most notably totems. . and how to kill those totems effectively. A few of them specifically.
1. Soulbound Goliath: Thorns - Especailly with an aug evoker and they grab your 2nd dps. how can sin kill a thorn on it's own before your ally dies. I seem to have very low damage unless i quite specifically hold combo points and break a chain 6-7 seconds before it spawns (so, ultimately not really doing anything given their frequency)
2. Throne of the Tides: Stormfurry Totem
3. Black Rook Hold: Stinging Thorns.
4. Battlefield: Add spawns
Each of these i seem to have a fair bit of difficulty with on sin. The only one that doesn't seem to be much of an issue is the Stormfurry totem as everyone is up and it's easy to find/target down. . Adds on battlefield you want to avoid him cleving them, the bats in black rook are moving around so much it's obnoxious, and soulbound goliath your just down a dps by default.
for all of these situations it's basically just rupture/garrote and swap to it. Bonus points if you can hold a bit of energy for them as well or have an envenom chain going so you get your tier procs on each of them.
that being said, assassination is still a bursty dot spec, so outside of cooldowns it's not going to be great at target swapping just by design compared to other stuff like outlaw
Prior to a kingsbane window we want to keep up envenom almost surely right, and also if I'm out of energy hit 1 envenom before pressing kingsbane to maximize poison application - what's the minimum amount of energy I should have before kingsbane? The tea on the last 6 seconds leaves about 8 GCDs worth so maybe like 100-150 energy to start?
can view ep.5 talking about the opener for that, but yes you always want to envenom->shiv->dance+kb->gar->envenom
There is no minimum amount of energy you should have before kingsbane you just slam it
Amazing
What means pandemic in case of envenom? Is it better to envenom when its in the 0, area?
Pandemic is an effect where if you refresh a dot/debuff/hot/buff/whatever before it has run out, then up to 30% of the duration of that ability will be added to the new duration. For instance, I apply a dot that lasts 10 seconds, if I then reaply it immediately again, the new duration will be 13 seconds. This allows you to be able to reapply the dot within the last 30% of it's duration without losing any uptime or expending additional resources.
Whats the reason you refresh envenom in the 0, area? Is this because of pandemic? Of i understand it right:
Envenom 6 seconds
Refresh immediately
New envenom 8 seconds?
Am i right?
close enough yeah sure, 4 cp envenom is 4 seconds, so pandemic is 1.3
So if I'm sitting 4CP is mutiliating again to hit 6CP a big damage loss? If so I think ive been doing it all wrong
not a big loss, but it is slightly worse. Finishing on 5+ and 4+ are very similar
Why don't you pool during cd's, maximizing envenom uptime? Suppose we are in a low energy situation
During cooldowns is your high point of efficiency, you want to be doing damage during your damage windows, so it doesn’t make sense to not use abilities during cds
i didn't see you spread your dots manually by targetting each dummy, wasn't it only possible for 2 other dummies? you had 5 or 6 of them there, assa aoe is just a wonderous question to me.
Carnage automatically spreads to 2 additional targets, so two garrotes means 1+2, and then same target+2. So 1+2+2 is 5 targets, which is what the cluster of dummies is. Swapping targets would lead to the same result in that situation since I’m technically applying 6 garrotes (2 manually, 4 from carnage) and there’s only 5 targets. I’m always double bleeding one of them so no point in swapping
@@whispyr5793 Thx a lot i was doing it the hard way
do we spam envenoms during bloodlust and drink tea charges to continue spamiing ( always saving one charge for cds)?
You want to pool at all times outside of your personal cooldowns, including during lust. Lust can cause your energy to reach near its maximum a lot of the times, which you will want to avoid by envenoming, but there is no logic to specifically spam because of it
But if i Use envenom really fast during bl i will do more dmg in less time. I always try Not to cap my energy and if i see that i wont be able to empty my energy before the next Phase starts i always slam my envenom because i dont want to overcap
? that's exactly what I said
Is there a stand alone weakaura for envemon duration?
not that I know of, but you can take one out of most every pack
Theres a couple of addons for example "slice commander" and "slice admiral". There you can see the duration of your bleeds in a colour your want.
They Show your bloods in bars
I Found a weak aura which displays all of our bleeds and own buffs. Envenom is included. I'll Post the link later
