Dude thank you so much for uploading this, I am also booked on the 77W Polaris ORD-MCO and I am so hyped. I was literally waiting for someone to upload a TR because I can hardly wait. Awesome to see other Orlando spotters caught this secret upgrade!

Widebodies on domestic routes (Due to mostly Disney guests) to and from MCO are amazing.

Awesome video man, dang you really had to beat me to this 😂 crazy how you guys were here on this flight literally 3 days after I was and it was so cool to see the similarities I had on my flight. You guys flew 2644U when I had 2645U, also landed on 27C like we did! And I wonder who was the inspiration behind you choosing to watch “Friday” 🤔🤔🤔😂

Somewhat surprising considering as major and huge as MCO airport is, United has fewer than 10 gates. They only use 8 jetways there. Definitely not one of the dominant carriers there despite being a huge airline. 48 I’m quite sure is the only UA gate there that can handle heavies. Should be interesting to see if operations for UA at MCO change with the airport getting lots of gates at the new south terminal.
United was also using a B773ER on the Newark-Orlando route during Spring Break weeks. And those would go out completely full every day. I’d love to see United get more heavies in Orlando (my favorite is the 787-10), but they need more gates that can handle them.

Maybe they should move to C once it is expanded.

@@aviationmco it should be interesting to see if United gets more gates.

@@aviationmcolately with the 737 Max 9 groundings, United has used more heavies on EWR/MCO and some of them use gate 39. Since the South Terminal opened, more gate space has freed and airlines have adjusted which gates they use.

Wonderful trip report. It's very nice of the crew to let you sit and film the Polaris seat, but I'd say it'd have been better if you had been allowed to sit the for the whole flight :)))

Yeah but i’m happy they let me sit in the beginning regardless :)

Delta should fly their Airbus a350's between Detroit/Atlanta and Orlando, especially during peak seasons.
