I flew from Atlanta to Tokyo and back on the A350, I loved it. November 2023.

New continent? Since when was Japan a continent? It’s an island nation….

The one and only time I flown Delta One was my first flight on Delta. It was a a350-900 from PHX-MSP. It was only a week old and delta would send them on high volume flights just to test them before sending them internationally. Well the flight to Phoenix apparently was completely full, but since it was returning to MSP at 12:59am to then land at 4:50am, there was only 12 people on the plane including me. I was booked in economy but once I asked the lead FA if I could just sit in Delta One for a few seconds and then move back to my assigned seat, she just let me sit there for the entire flight! I didn’t need to pay for a upgrade or use miles! So it was the best flight ever, even tho they were only offering premium snacks for the meals.

It’s sad that over 70% of Delta One suites go to “Non Revenue” employees, family members, “buddy passes”, and retirees.

Charter flight?

Interesting. DL doesn’t fly many 329’s out of MCO. Only one route I know of. But a great video.

Very relaxing. I love the takeoffs. Once we get to cruising altitude, I go to sleep.

Rode a 717-200 plane over this past weekend Delta PVD to DTW and back. Was mildly concerned that these planes seem older. However, have to say it was a very comfortable plane and flight even had refreshments served. The engine sound is pretty neat. Had Wi-Fi for purchase was the only bummer. But I knew that going in so loaded the tablet with a couple of shows beforehand.

Those Rolls Royce Trent engines are superlative aero-engineering.

Great trip report. I really like Virgin Atlantic economy class, but I dislike their business class seat. It's wise to ask for another meal in dinner, because breakfast was just some snacks.
