This kinda ticks me off. The maps aren't made to get Longshots organically especially for snipers. Longshots you get for double kills Longshots etc. should count before you get all the head shots.
I know this comment is 3 years old but bro long shots with snipers are not hard. I got diamond snipers in one day (from having no sniper camos) and got all my long shots with the locus in a single game on infection
I don't think it matters really, longshots on the SVG and Locus were easy without the Varix I expect the same for the P06 and Drakon. Glad I did the ARs though.

Xclusive ace I have one big sniper tip that I think most players neglect to use a lot in some games but keep in mind that this method is not bent for those quick scopes out there
This patch was absolute BS. They should shorten the ranges then, cause snipers and ARs are super difficult to get long shots now, especially for aggressive players. Great video Ace. I'll definitely use these spots. Thumbs Up :)

Damn! I didn't realize that the varix sight longshot thing was a glitch that was gonna be patched. I thought it was intentional. If I had known it was a glitch that they were gonna patch I would have made sure to use the varix a bunch to get longshots.
Excellent spots ace, too bad I only have pistol long shots to go (if I ever get the last 2 SVG blood thirsty I need) that spot you mentioned on infection is nice, i can't recall if you showed it in maps exposed but if you stand on the bushes by the building behind the tank you can see over there, little less sight on the spawn but you have more cover. Used it for easy pickings in safeguard when the robots about half way.

Ardent cammo it's beatiful on any weapon, if you don't have a fancy cammo from the blackmarket yet for your "best" gun, you can't go wrong with Ardent, looks awesome.

I've been looking for years but I can't find a solid answer to the following question - how long is long shot range? Is it aim assist range? The range up to the point where a weapon drops off to minimum damage? Is it fixed for each class, regardless of the weapon's range? The line you showed for assault rifle ranges looks like it could be in region of 38m. Did you manage to get exact distances?
+TSx92 The longshot ranges don't appear to be tied to damage ranges or aim assist ranges at all. They seem to be a static range that's tied to the weapon class. All ARs have the same longshot range, just like all snipers have the same range etc. The AR longshot range is leaning more towards 1650-1700 units (~41-43m).
+The Greatmagic I got my longshots down before I knew about this trick with varix... It is not that hard. I did go HC though... when you done other challenges, if you have longshots left, and you might very well have due to the extremely long range needed, just go HC and camp a place good for longshot, and you get them in a game, it is only 10 you need!
+Atari00 The thing is, it's likely not a foot or two, that's simply the margin of error with this test. It's far more probable that there is in, fact no change at all to the Longshot range but due to handtesting constraints it's nearly impossible to test with flawless accuracy. Also, 1-2ft is approximately a 1-1.5% decrease in that range which would be next to negligible in game and not worth an extra point spent on the suppressor for that specific purpose.
+TheXclusiveAce I think it got changed since the game launched, Tabor hill discovered this 2 weeks after game launch and it spread from there which is why ppl say suppressor reduces the range u need, other bigger youtubers picked this off from how much it spread from Tabor after about 1 or 2 months so it may have gotten changed.
+ExOTiC 1234 the smgs usage was too high for their predictions. outgunning at far distances sometimes. possibly for people playing hardcore and the play style smgs always win difficult for people trying to get diamond. lots of reasons just gotta think
Ace two weird things have happened to me in bo3 I supposedly got a kill while I used the spectres ability even though I've never used it and I also got in this match where the safeguard robot ran instead of walking I recorded that and it was on nuketown that really sucked

Tabor Hill says that the suppressor does marginally reduce the range needed to get a longshot
