Im a single older woman with no children. I have accumulated way too many things over the years. If you can do this with a husband and children, it inspires me to try and to think I can be successful. Thank you! ❤
Just be careful! I am an older woman, too. I got up on a chair to declutter, fell off, and really hurt myself! It took months for the pain to go away. I am much more cautious now.
You got this! It actually becomes addictive and you will NOT want to stop. When I began I was so overwhelmed, but I just consolidated 3 large storage units into 1 and donated most of the difference. (Some things got thrown away.) Took me 2 months and I got help moving the big pieces of furniture. The rest was me. I’m 60 and had bypass surgery 7 years ago. If I can do it, you got this! Just go slow and stop when your body tells you to! But, oh my, do I feel much better now just knowing I’ve completed this task and when it comes time to move the stuff into a house, it will be so much easier and only the things we truly love will go in it!
For me, once you start letting things go, it get easier and easier. I just purged 7 trash bags from my home. Feels incredible being in that space now that is not full of stuff.
Loved how you organized/decluttered your space today. Garage? I have been working inside our house decluttering as well. It takes so long to go through things. I appreciate the tips you give about putting things in containers instead of leaving them in the boxes or plastic containers they came in. I need to watch your video again. Until next time, keep up the good work!@
I found this video at exactly the right time - I'm so overwhelmed and seeing that I'm not the only one who gets to feeling this way, strange as it sounds, is re-assuring that I am ok, and can do this!! Thank you for being real and sharing - You are an inspiration!! Hugs!
I watch these videos for relaxation. I am naturally pretty tidy and neat and enjoy cleaning so I don't have a problem with motivation, necessarily, but for some reason I like watching people clean!
I started a de-clutter checklist with about 60 very small areas and tasks. Two days ago it was my kitchen table....it's so nice to sit at a clean and uncluttered table! Today (was yesterday's task but I'll do 2 today) was the one kitchen chair that collects clutter. That's done. Now we have 4 chairs to sit at at my nicely cleaned kitchen table. I am also aiming to de-clutter my dresser top today. Last week we found out I'm pregnant. So I aim to be decluttering during this pregnancy so I don't have a ton of stuff to try to clean, organize and work around with a newborn....I'll be 40 when it's born (God willing). My energy needs to be for the baby not stuff.
I need your energy lol BUT I am a whole lot older than you so that is taken in consideration too👍🏻 I love to decanter items , have done it for decades. Tic tok …nope. But I know the RUclipsrs watch it. It’s funny to see people just now discovering what I learned years ago. I appreciate that others can now learn some household tricks off RUclips which wasn’t even thought if in the 70’s-80’s. And you are so right when saying it’s a Marathon, a forever one at that. We downsized over 700sq. ft.about ten years ago I’ve had three garage sales , donated items several times and I still need to do all that again. Your doing great, keep up the good work, and bonus points for putting your children first❤
You are my spirit animal. Random singing and dancing and talking to inanimate objects is how I live myself. ❤️😂 you’re amazing. Thank you for the inspiration! I’m getting ready to pack and move myself so this is getting my amped up to purge before we move!
Lynn, I just moved to a new house in the country from a house in the suburbs where I lived for over 30 years. The moment I saw how much furniture, boxes, plastic bins we had, I almost started to cry. I’ve been at the new house for about 4 weeks and have been so overwhelmed. I saw your video today and realized that tomorrow I start my journey to declutter and gain some clarity on what is needed in my home versus what I bought just because I wanted it. Thank you for inspiring me❤
My first time seeing your videos. I’m 50 and becoming an empty nester. Enjoying watching you tackle the same chores I am facing right now. What to do with cords and such that are just lingering. It’s nice to hear a young person to say it’s ok to trash them!!! Also, the putting the huge Oxyclean into a more manageable container! Duh!!!! Why hadn’t I ever thought of that?!?!? I guess you can teach an old dog new tricks😅
I love all the homes with matching bins, but I can't justify getting all new decanters at this time, so I am using the square-shaped plastic tubs that nuts and snacks come in from the big club stores like Sam's Club and Costco. They're square, so they fit in my cupboards well, and they're clear, so I can write on them with a dry erase marker what's inside.
I love this! I’m currently expecting baby number 3 in September and I’ve been on a nesting mission decluttering and organizing and deep cleaning. I’m trying to make my house function as smoothly as possible since I’ll have 3 kids under 4 🤪 this is just the motivation I need!
I did this for months before I had my 5th baby in April! We’ve a house full with our 3 grown up children aged 19-23 years & our 4 year old & our 11 week old 🥰 Take full advantage of that nesting instinct 🤣

a real woman implementing ideas. Thank you for taking me along as you work thru your spaces. So grateful for you sharing this, and every bit of the souring which occurs in the south. Love & light to you.
I agree! I love organizing my house! I think I could declutter my house every month. I keep a box and as I organize I fill the box up and take it to the donation place. Everything is looking good! You Go Girl!
I have been cleaning, decluttering and organizing my butt off these last few weeks and I have donated so much and last week had a garage sale and made some money to put toward my Spring Disney trip it was so great and have a few more items that I am going to list on line. I honestly feel my house can breath now. I think we all fall into the we need when we see others have something but I'm not doing that anymore it's got to be something we really love. Our new motto is we need it, love it, use it or wear it then it stays but if not it is gone. Keep up the great job Lynn
I love opening a cupboard and seeing all of my organising instead of opening and shutting the door or drawer as fast as I can before everything falls out or over😂😂

Enjoyed this video of organizing garage. Ive been organizing as i can last few weeks. Started with dividing up pictures for my kids + getting into two bins. Took alot of time but they can pick up the bin + drive it to their house!! 75 yr old Gran.
I'm just about to finish round 1 and OMG I feel so free!!! Like I can breathe again!!! I went in HEAVY but passed on certain areas as they were already somewhat organized/neat looking, but I know there's stuff inside I'll want to get rid of eventually. Round 2 after will be less intense as I can just grab 1 bin at a time and go through them as I find the time vs dedicating a full 2 weeks to a big declutter. My husband is away for work and I can't wait for him to come home later this week and see our house going from level 1 hoarder, approaching level 2 (I was sick the last 2 years and ended up having a few surgeries back to back last winter and things got seriously out of control), to neat and tidy with 0 clutter. He's aware of what I'm doing but I refused to send pictures so the results will be a surprise. As I'm getting older I know I'll get more health related episodes and I don't want this to happen again so keeping closer to bare essentials/things we actually use will make things easier on everyone.
When my kids were small, I read to them every single night before bed. If I had a hard day and wanted to skip it I quickly learned that it took FAR less time to give them my undivided attention then it ever did to try and half ass it. After a story they would go right to sleep. No problem. No story, they were thirsty, they were scared, there was a monster, they didn't feel so good, wait, they have to go to the bathroom.... you get the point lol

Lot’s of projects, and lot’s of decluttering and freshening. It just takes triple time trying to film it. I fail at the filming most times, because I’ll declutter a handful of minutes here and there as I’m cooking or whatever. You’re doing great ❤
I’ve done several bags to my Pdsa the other day. Still going through stuff. It amazes me how much money we spend on stuff and then in a few years we either don’t fit into the clothes (for me I lost three stones) and now have to give away pretty clothes. Donated three bags of books did wipe the covers so they don’t have to do that in the charity store. Please think of the work that they have to do in the shop when someone donates plates etc that are dusty we have to wash them before they can be sold. One realization I had while we were packing for our move: try to box up a portion of your space (even if you use them. Once some things are in boxes, the space becomes clear and you see a different perspective with how you want to live…with lesser things
Another great idea I bought a large canvas wreath holder bag and it holds at least 4 wreaths zips shut and I keep in garage top shelf in top of bins. Looks good and know exactly what's in it and also have a few wreath over the door hooks that fit inside as well. They have canvas in multiple colors Amazon mostly clear or Christmas, etc... tidy organized and looks nice plus always know what to grab as wreath shape. Happy organizing!

You did a great job! Inspired me so much! Thank you!
I hear you lynne! I am also on a declutter and clea until I'm less stressed phase...I'm chronically ill so I'm slow but one bit at a time x
Love watching you Lynn. You’re such a hard worker and it shows! Keep up the good work. 😊
Great video, thank you! I love the paint colour in your bedroom. Would you mind sharing it?
One realization I had while we were packing for our move: try to box up a portion of your space (even if you use them. Once some things are in boxes, the space becomes clear and you see a different perspective with how you want to live…with lesser things
So much fun watching you work 😊 great video
I am cleaning as I watch you, thank you for sharing. Love your music.
Cut a black piece of construction paper to back the dryer sheets. :) Great job! Love it. Thanks for the inspiration!
You are on Your way to a Brighter Future !😁
Great job, Lynn! Sometimes, I keep my wreaths in a bag to keep out dust, etc.
I agree, I hate to add to my husband’s to do list as well. ❤ I try to do what I can on my own. He happily does things for me though. 🥰
Love the video! Just a tip for the laundry… vinegar to remove the stench & set a timer for 5 minutes before the machine is about to be done.
Thank you so much for the encouragement Missy. I really needed that today. ❤❤❤
Love your content ✨️💕 Such great, real motivation 👏 🙌 Thank you!!!!! 🙂
Omgosh your singing is amazing 😮
Im in frail health and miss cleaning, organizing, painting walls, cupboards, furniture. And yard work. Now that I can barely get around Im not getting enough movement=blood thinner shots daily, colostomy bag...5 ft sm intestine left. PICC line where I get IV fluids..my food. IV meds every 4 hrs for severe nausea and vomiting. Been dead several times, my son is 36 n takes cre of me. But man we're so depressed, the house hasnt had a deep clean since dad passed in 18. My 76 yo mom has no motivation either. Being bed bound is aweful. I sense a change thank the Lord, Hes giving me the energy to do 5 mins at a time. Seeing you clean makes me wanna clean. Please pray for us..depression, an addiction and mental illness in this household. We need healing. God bless an d ty

ALWAYS WATCHING FROM PHILIPPINES 🇵🇭 ❤❤❤
Lynn, you are so much braver than I !!!
I couldn’t be in that garage if it had even 1 spider in it… I am so extremely, deathly afraid of them… I can’t even stand fake ones! In any way, shape or form they creep me out!! I would get an exterminator or I wouldn’t step a 😢foot out there. Same w/ an outside office, nope, exterminator for rest of my life!! You are doing an awesome job and a huge inspiration. Thank you! 😊 Hugs from Hershey PA
💕💖💕
Thanks for showing how to clean the vacuum! I just did mine and oh the dirt!
