i just thought about how privileged we actually are to own so much to be able to decide what we want to keep and give away by thinking about if or if not it sparks joy. Just thinking about the people who struggle to survive and barely own anything.
I have been in both situations. Barely having anything til 29. Having more than needed from 29 til now at 32. It can be hard to be honest, but because I lived as I did for 29 years I realise how little I actually really need. So to me it's not hard not to have many things. What I have is needed, used, blessed.
I love candles too! You did a great job on everything you decluttered. I’ve probably said this before, but I love how you utilize storage containers you already have-this makes it so practical for your viewers to do the same since you aren’t spending a bunch of money. Great job, Megan❣️

This was super satisfying! I cleaned my house (which I was dreading because I’m soooo exhausted today) but it obviously had to be done. This really helped me get it done! 😊😊😊😊
Nice job! I noticed you have a LOT of candles. I don't know if you ever tried this before but when I have a lot of the same things, I give myself a goal of not buying anything new until I'm done using all the ones that I have. Once this goal is reached, it helps me see how many of these things I really want to bring back in my house. Most of the time, I couldn't care less about buying it anymore, or I simply buy one and use it until I can buy a new one. Another trick is to create a "use first box" and leave it in an easy to reach area and if I haven't used it in the next 2-3 weeks (depending on what it is), well I probably won't use it. We always have to remember that our house/home is not a storage unit but a living area. :) Thank you again
I already don't buy anymore until I use what I have. I buy the candles once a year during the bath & body works sale where they are only $5 (best price of the year) and then burn them all year round until the next sale.
Love the idea of putting a row of jar candles behind the baskets , less breakages and looks good . Also never thought of putting my kitchen towels on a shelf .. I'm doing that first thing in the morning I've put it top of my list x Stay safe stay well. Take care everyone 😉

The googly eye in your treasure/fabric bin had me laughing so hard hahaha kids leave the weirdest things around, I’m always trying to help our son out things back but sometimes his stuff seeps into ours like that too 😅😅

Really liked how you worked through different areas in the same video! Candles can be difficult, I have a zerotolerancepolicy against candles because it does get out of hand... I’m only allowed to by a new candle when I have used up all the ones I already own...
I'm happy we don't have a junk drawer anymore it has all purposeful items in slots but we do have a tray we keep on the kitchen table for all random things I need to go through. It's handy because it's easy to pick up and hide lol

That’s the way to do it! I held onto those shorts for 3 years before I finally decluttered them. I feel a lot better now not having that pressure on me bringing me down that I don’t fit into them anymore 💜

I love how you store stuff in the glass jars where you can see what you have. If I stored the extra deodorant, etc in those bags i would never think of them and forget i had them. I would just put them on the shelf where i could see them and eliminate the bags

Loving Life as Megan, my final resting spot for ours is my lazy Susan. I put all my small kitchen appliances in there. I have yet to do a “cleaning and organizing video” I don’t know why it seems so intimidating lol. My house isn’t huge either so my technique is a lot like yours. Be practical, minimal and as pretty looking as I can. Great job!

Sometimes that is the best way to get things done by just tackle it when we are really not motivated to do it. I have been doing that since way before the lockdown and it feels good to finally get a lot if it done. I still have a lot to do. Thank God that my local thrift store has had the donate door open through all this or I would be drowning in a big donate pile.
I have a basket I dump my purse in when I switch purses and then pick out the things I want to keep in my new purse and it collects a lot of old change, receipts, notes, lists, hair ties, lipsticks, Bobby pins you name it. I rely clean it out and it’s just easier to have the 5 lipsticks I wear all the time, hand sani, alcohol spray, and masks, and gloves ready for me to pick out

I collect a lot of receipts I put them in ziplock bag and mini-wallet. Thank you for giving me motivation in these tough times.

Really? I already folded t shirts that way before, I just didn’t stand them upright. It wasn’t too difficult for me to transition everything and maintain them.
