Yeah, kinda, well the general Zealot on the Starcraft 1 game-case is written to be 3 meters tall, while a normal Terran Marine is just 1,80m tall, and a Hydralisk about 4,5 meters long, from top to tail-tip...
not just the height difference, the size difference in general, though alarak is wearing bulky armour that's flanged and spiked all to hell, so he looks even bigger than he already is, but if you take that off, his shoulders would still be twice as wide as nova's. a fully grown protoss could grab your head one handed and pick you up off the ground without even using their psionic powers.
Well neither are races (ok, the original "Sith" were a race (not technically canon any more but I assume it eventually will be) but in this context they're both cultures. And they can be very different, antiquity Christianity and antiquity Aztec religion were very different but I'm pretty sure most people would say Christianity of antiquity was better. You know, helping the poor, being pacifists, versus cutting out peoples hearts. And Alarak would destroy Sidious.
Alarak would pretty much Destroy Sidious. Alarak has a Forcefield and is overall much more Powerful. what is Sidious gonna do? Shock Him? that would just tickle him if not barely touch him. Alarak can do the same except it would completely desintegrate Sidious.
You know...despite being a sociopathic, narcissistic tyrant, Highlord Alarak is surprisingly generous with his information and resources. His interactions with Artanis, Vorazun, and now Nova reveal that. He never once expects aid for nothing, and does strive to maintain the balance of equivalent exchange. While that may not excuse the more distasteful aspects of his character, it does make him a more three-dimensional figure than the "evil protoss" archetype he could have become.
@@dzvw It served two purposes: 1) It removes the disloyal and weak minded from the Tal’darim. 2) It makes him seem like a benevolent leader and lasting ally to Artanis and the rest of the Dealaam. It insures that he will have the Golden Armada backing him up if anyone seriously tries to usurp him.
I love how Alarak seems bored enough talking to Nova that he constantly feels the need to wander around the room instead of just stand in front of her. He's like me when I talk on the phone.
I was watching Alarak and Vorazun and then I realized that Alarak towered over her. So I wondered, how tall is he compared to Nova. Turns out Alarak is just freaking massive. Vorazun isn't that much taller than Nova

I noticed it once, then it kept bothering me, so i checked every cutscene and he is consistently taller than Artanis by just a bit in every single cutscene. Highlord indeed.
That's because he would slaughter them in seconds if he felt like it, and she realizes it like a few seconds after they meet too. That's how you write and create powerful characters. It's simply a perfect display of how to show it of. No need for him to ever utter the words of what he can do to them. They just both know it and you can tell it from the way they act. She literally submits pretty quickly after he has told her the whole plan.

Bro, Alarak is STRAIGHT UP a Sith Lord. If they got his VA to literally just play a Star Wars version of an Alarak character he would be an instant hit. He's sassy, sadistic, menacing, violent, manipulative, underhanded, and utterly ruthless.
He's one of the good Sith Lords, ofc. The really charismatic kind that duels with both his words and with his blade. The kind that appreciates a rival with wit, but is often disappointed by what he finds. The kind that can disarm a room simply by speaking his mind, but oh so enjoys the fighting that ensues when he can't.
And my angle on how he got that way is that he was exposed to horrible trauma at a young age and it changed him from the innocent child he once was to the tyrant he is now.
I am not sure in how much danger Nova was in just by being next to Alarak. He is so powerful that he learned the truth about her by easily reading her locked memories.
Nova’s still an elite operative and class 10 psionic. I’m not saying she’d win (Alarak definitely has the edge in a face to face confrontation), but she can put the hurt on him right back.

@@LeQuack147 Nova is a VERY impressive psionic.... for a Terran. Alarak is an extremely powerful psionic even by Protoss standards, and ALL Protoss are at least somewhat telepathic, meaning they all hit at least a 5 or 6 on the Psi Index.

Spectres are known to have higher Psi affinity due to the Terrazine, around 7-8 which is higher than the 5-6 of the Ghosts.
I mean look at the Protoss, they are incredibly muscular. If you take their size into account, plus Alaraks armor, he weighs at least 350-500 kilogramms.

what i like about Alarak the most is the fact that he is closer to what Protoss where in SC1 arrogant , threatening presence and awe inspiring, what he makes different is that he is also Threaten his foes and allies for purpose not with just his presence
Arrogant is more correct. Malevolent implies he is straight up evi, which he has consistently shown not to be. At most, he is Lawful Evil. Alarak shows both respect for people who earn it, as well as a degree of compassion and care for his people, albeit twisted. He fully supports their lifestyle, so likely not on an individual level, but for the Tal'darim as a whole, he cares a LOT. His anger at Amon, his permission to let every one of his men choose to go with the Daelaam (if one time choice) and his pragmatic support for Artanis shows him to be machiavellian, but not so much malevolent imho.
Alarak might be able to terrorise the Dominion but he wouldn't stand a chance against the might of Earth. I was really disappointed that dev just pushed away the potential of earth. DuGalle invasion fleet was just a tiny fraction of Earth real capabilities and the loss was just a minor setback
Honestly, I'd kind of love to see an encounter between the UED and the Tal'darim. It's hinted that Tal'darim tech is inferior to Khalai and Nerazim tech, but they make up for it with their sheer brutality and cunning... I don't know who would win that conflict.

Before Amon called the Golden Armada back to Aier they were bogged down at Orion sector In fact the golden armada lost most of its assets during the invasion of Orion sector they never got past Venus, Sol resistance was far more stronger than Amon anticipated and in Zeratul alternate dark future all surviving humanity nation getting called back to Earth to make their last stand there. They fall at the same time as the Protoss fall.
I wonder the PI of Alarak. Nova is 10, which is the second highest terran already. However, Alarak can easily read her mind, he is at least 11 or even close to 12? Kerrigan is 12 in her Queen of Blades form, Zeratul is 11. Zeratul barely hurts Kerrigan solo, so I guess it made sense Alarak is also 11 or even more powerful since he barely sees Nova, a 10 PI ghost agent as a threat.
I'd argue Alarak is 12. At least. While big and imposing, his forte IS his psionic power. Alarak also drains power from others, going as far as draining life (as seen in the Rak'Shir, as well as in Co-op with Empower Me and sacrifice.). His greatest psionic feat so far is straight up blasting through what is probably Aiur's most fortified door AND the machine behind it with a single hit. It's probably less than post-Zerus Kerrigan, but he IS probably the second strongest psionic in the series (if we ignore the xel'naga)
I know im late but if we give alarak his Fleet as backup then take post zerus kerrigan and give her some zerg(who will match the fleet) then alarak will win ar draw this fight by empower me and sacrafice. He drains power from other, dead zerg aswell, so in army vs army he will win imo.
I like the fact that he used his armor to scratch a monitor and the panel. While that's not expected to be very tough and resistant, it's probably quite a durable metal, and it just shows how high protoss tech is, this isn't even a weapon that he used, it's just a decorative piece of armor
well, there's also the fact that terran psychics are nowhere near as powerful as a common protoss, so they can reach in and fiddle with things to their heart's content, which they can't do to other protoss or the zerg.
lol that is a huge matter of debate and depends on the individual sith and taldarim, Darth Nihlus, could litereally suck the life essence out of any life being including alarak just by speaking and being within a relatively close proximity and maybe he wouldn't even need to be close, since Nihlus could suck the life essence out of entire planets.

what i like about Alarak the most is the fact that he is closer to what Protoss where in SC1 arrogant , threatening presence and awe inspiring, what he makes different is that he is also Threaten his foes and allies for purpose not with just his presence

Arrogant is more correct. Malevolent implies he is straight up evi, which he has consistently shown not to be. At most, he is Lawful Evil. Alarak shows both respect for people who earn it, as well as a degree of compassion and care for his people, albeit twisted. He fully supports their lifestyle, so likely not on an individual level, but for the Tal'darim as a whole, he cares a LOT. His anger at Amon, his permission to let every one of his men choose to go with the Daelaam (if one time choice) and his pragmatic support for Artanis shows him to be machiavellian, but not so much malevolent imho.
Alarak is such a boss lol.

Alarak might be able to terrorise the Dominion but he wouldn't stand a chance against the might of Earth.
I was really disappointed that dev just pushed away the potential of earth. DuGalle invasion fleet was just a tiny fraction of Earth real capabilities and the loss was just a minor setback
Honestly, I'd kind of love to see an encounter between the UED and the Tal'darim. It's hinted that Tal'darim tech is inferior to Khalai and Nerazim tech, but they make up for it with their sheer brutality and cunning... I don't know who would win that conflict.

Before Amon called the Golden Armada back to Aier they were bogged down at Orion sector
In fact the golden armada lost most of its assets during the invasion of Orion sector they never got past Venus, Sol resistance was far more stronger than Amon anticipated and in Zeratul alternate dark future all surviving humanity nation getting called back to Earth to make their last stand there. They fall at the same time as the Protoss fall.

I wonder the PI of Alarak. Nova is 10, which is the second highest terran already. However, Alarak can easily read her mind, he is at least 11 or even close to 12? Kerrigan is 12 in her Queen of Blades form, Zeratul is 11. Zeratul barely hurts Kerrigan solo, so I guess it made sense Alarak is also 11 or even more powerful since he barely sees Nova, a 10 PI ghost agent as a threat.
I'd argue Alarak is 12. At least. While big and imposing, his forte IS his psionic power. Alarak also drains power from others, going as far as draining life (as seen in the Rak'Shir, as well as in Co-op with Empower Me and sacrifice.). His greatest psionic feat so far is straight up blasting through what is probably Aiur's most fortified door AND the machine behind it with a single hit. It's probably less than post-Zerus Kerrigan, but he IS probably the second strongest psionic in the series (if we ignore the xel'naga)
I know im late but if we give alarak his Fleet as backup then take post zerus kerrigan and give her some zerg(who will match the fleet) then alarak will win ar draw this fight by empower me and sacrafice. He drains power from other, dead zerg aswell, so in army vs army he will win imo.
I like the fact that he used his armor to scratch a monitor and the panel. While that's not expected to be very tough and resistant, it's probably quite a durable metal, and it just shows how high protoss tech is, this isn't even a weapon that he used, it's just a decorative piece of armor

well, there's also the fact that terran psychics are nowhere near as powerful as a common protoss, so they can reach in and fiddle with things to their heart's content, which they can't do to other protoss or the zerg.

lol that is a huge matter of debate and depends on the individual sith and taldarim, Darth Nihlus, could litereally suck the life essence out of any life being including alarak just by speaking and being within a relatively close proximity and maybe he wouldn't even need to be close, since Nihlus could suck the life essence out of entire planets.
