Alarak and Abathur are two most interesting characters the entirety of SC2 has. First one is this vengeful smartass who is insanely rude yet is ALWAYS right. Second one is this completely logical worm that talks in ways that you wish you could 24/7.
Alarak is the only character that didn't catch a single L. In fact, everything he does is a W moment for him and also helps protagonists. That's why he is so cool.
Man, I love Alarak xD "You think us fools?" "Yes, but that is irrelevant" If I am ever to become a villain, please, gods above and below, let it be one on Alarak's end of the spectrum
@@matthewblaikie7903 Anti Hero is fitting. He does whatever it takes to benefit him and his people right now its helping the good guys from time to time
@@rahulshah1408I think he fits more as an Anti-Villain than an Anti-Hero The dude does good, but he only ever does it to benefit himself. Helping people is just the side-effect. He interacts with everyone as if they are nothing but tools, and has no problem killing them if he has to. But if they help him, at least he has a shimmer of honor.
@@neartheplumtree Yah I think I have the same sentiment. You can really tell they started off strong with new Starcraft content after so many years, then with each expansion less time and money was put into it as the campaigns became less of a priority
@@neartheplumtree The WoL campaign was disjointed, had nearly no connective tissue, and most of the storylines were entirely without consequence for the setting or the characters. Characters and character motivations were also weak af. It was already damn weak story-wise compared to SC/BW. Also, while the story got even worse in the later campaigns, their mission design was actually more fun than WoL's imo.
I really believe that IF Alarak's voice was not played by John de Lancie, it would not be so epic as a character. And when Alarak answer "YES, but that is irrelevant.." to the answer posed by Vorazun, you can clearly recognise him as Q from Star Wars... What an epic actor!

Alarak is so cool, he is always above all, and cares for nothing. And on top of it direct as hell!

I never really thought him a villain, but I don't know if you could call him an anti hero either.

I don’t want to be a fuzzy coconut as a villain. Alarak is a good anti hero.

How I loved this character, next to Zeratul, he was one of my favorite of all time in the SC universe ;)
IDK man for me its
1.Alarak
2.Zeratul
3.Artanis
as my fav protoss XD
Gotta love his personality
RIP that one zealot
He didnt kill him
Yeah he just force pushed him
Arrogant, ruthless, spine chilling voice and the power to match his attitude. Definitely my favorite character in SC2
You know why Alarak is cool? He is voiced by John de Lancie who plays Q in STNG series 😁
I knew his voice was familiar!
dun forget about Discord in MLP xD
@@Broockle it cracks me that alarak is discord
@@Broockle yeah, I could tell immediately it was the same guy. Man, he makes amusing roles.
@@TheDragShot Yep.
i swear Alarak is the only thing they did right in the sc2 story v:
no te gusto sc2? pero profundiza muchisimo en el lore, sin mencionar que las saga de los zerg es la mejor.
idk the terran story was very good even as standalone
the zerg campaign was aight
the protoss tho.. yeah i wasn’t really interested
Damn right

Alarak is the new Zeratul
Alarak is the undisputed king of shade in the Starcraft universe.
Alarak is my favourite character. By far.
When someone talks about how Protos are the superior sentient being I immediately think of Alarak. Epitomy of the best Protos
I love how Alarak gives 0 fucks aside from Artanis
"yes, but that is irrelevant" is something that i intend to use till i die
Honestly Vorazun didn't need to do that high Goku-ass jump to try to hit him
The only redeeming character in the whole SC2 trilogy.
Bro just spawned in and chose not violence
Did that zealot survive tho?
Yes... But that is irrelevant.

Alara was the only cool character in the new game. LOTV had such a terrible story.
