- Benelli is back in India and they've brought along a rather interesting product to mark their comeback - the TRK 502 adventure tourer. Launched in two variants, the base 502 and off-road spec 502X, the talking point of this new bike is its competitive price tag of Rs 5 lakh! We spent an entire day in the jungles of Karnataka to experience these new machines and see just what they have to offer at such an amazing price point.

To any interested prospective buyer for the X version -
1. Extremely comfortable for long distances.
2. Great range, 20 liter fuel tank.
3. Has crash guards, pannier stays, knuckle guards, radiator guard, USB charger outlet and Metzeler Tourance tyres as standard.
4. Centre stand is a big bonus.
5. Extremely comfortable seat with optimal reach for the arms.
6. 3 keys, of which one is in a rampuri churri style key chain. The switchgear is of decent quality. Switchable ABS is also a bonus.
7. Tall windscreen.
8. Great road presence.
Negatives-
1. Weight. Approx 235 kgs wet as was told by the showroom. Benelli needs to rethink this.
2. Outdated console. Looks like something out of the early 90s.
3. Odd positioning of the USB charging point, on the left side fairing of the bike.
4. It's a tall bike and may not suit shorter riders.
5. Offroading only if ur seasoned, dropping this tank is easy and picking it up not so much.
6. Service intervals are now 6000kms/6 months. In Pune regular service costs around 7k to 8k which is in versys 650 territory and not really justified.
7. Welding finesse in some places is desired only if u look closely enough though.
8. The fuel gauge is dodgy and I wouldn't rely on it a 100%. It also has tube tyres so if there is a puncture, god help u. Alternate is to use slime which protects against pinch punctures.
Final note the warranty period is 5yrs with unlimited mileage, not many offer that so hopefully they have enough confidence in the product. Obviously for its size and weight it is underpowered significantly. What I wanted was an easy on the wallet mile muncher which could do safe triple digit speeds when required. This fitted my requirement. Have done 4k kms so far and no regrets till date.
Hi I've few doubts hope you clear it
Weight has been reduced in bs6 to 215kg around
My biggest concern is the plastic frame on bike will it start to get loosen and colour fades?
Engine refinement or power will it loose it's charm after say around 20k is there any chances that engine might change sound or pulling gets weak . Acceleration response reduces
And bolt nuts getting loosen or cone set issues or fork issues ,
Will it loose it's frame charm after some thousands of kilometres?
And please mention if there is any issues in spare how reliable is this motorcycle not just engine
Everything ?
Please do answer .
Thanks for a great and honest review, you talk English so fluently and clear.. I am considering to subscribe to your channel.
Benelli fulfill everyone's dream by producing good bikes at good price...
@Noty Tv grow up buddy.. u still stuck in that ugly..leg baking bajaj engine 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
Very well explained. I guess very honest explanation. I rode this motorcycle aprox 110km and whatever you have explained is perfect. I liked it.
I own a trk 502 x.. I made 1400 km..I don't suggest this bike..
Positives:1.Very beautiful, 2.comfortable, 3.good sound, 4.good fork..
Negatives:1.Very heavy 2.Many issues 3.Chinese quality build 4.bad support and servise from benelli.
Much better option a versys or vstrom bit used from trk.. Unfortunately. They must improve the servise, the quality of the bike and to make it at least 20 kilos less..
Good presentation with a confident flow and informative to the viewers
Excellent review. Nice video with complete information.
Perfect balance between Powerdrift and Autocar!!!
Subscribing your channel right now.
Thankyou for your appreciation!
Never seen such pure review 💯💕, Thnx Bro
often an issue that gets overlooked
what is like on motorways?
I don't do a lot of motorway and 60-80 mph riding but I like to know the bike is ok doing 3-4 hours at a time at those kind of speeds and for overtaking etc
VERY - VERY NICE REVIEW OF BIKES...THANKS....😊😊😊
IELTS Speaking results came in - 9/9 :D
ولی
These have high maintenance costs right
Considering the potholes on Indian roads specially during mansoon season...will it be wise in investing on 502 or shall I consider X varient
( riding comfort is my priority & I don't prefer going for hard core off-roading)
About the heavy side of the bikes, I wonder why nobody has it pointed out, that in the weight you get are included already crash bars, back luggage rack and hand guards ( all together should give a notiecabel weight )
For example suzuki V-strom 650 is 220kg ( wet ) add crash bars luggage rack and hand guards and I think the weight will be quite similar.
Just my observation.
Valid point... Crtics wud always miss...
I am considering buying this bike but... is it reliable?
how is it compared to bristol venturi 500?
TRK 502 X is look alike Multistrada
Thanks for the information.👍
What are the power to weight ratios of the trks and versus and vstrom
It is a better family for long travel and all the roads passed by the person during the traveling of the injury
Adv tourer without cruise control is not the good idea. With lilbit more money cruise control may b a good idea
hi bro can i know the brand and model of the helmet you wear in this video
What are the service intervals like? Benelli's spares have always been a huge concern. I do see a lot of spares being sold on Aliexpress for pretty cheap, but one can only wonder about the quality of said spares. With Aliexpress, its mostly a hit or miss.
6000km/6 months..1st service is at 1000km or 45 days I guess..warranty is 5 yrs with unlimited mileage..
Is it possible to lower the suspension to get a lower seat height ?
It is Chikmagalur (ಚಿಕ್ಕಮಗಳೂರು)
Yea
Did I say it incorrectly??? Apologies 😯
Jared Solomon : Yes.. You weren’t too perfect with pronunciation of “Chikka Magaluru” !! Nice to see a lot of new Automobiles getting introduced and test driven in this “Coffee Hub If India” !!
It weighs 215kg wet, not 235kg dry. This was an early Benelli marketing error.
Very neat review 👌🏼
Look wise GS 850 + Africa twin
Nice gear, may i know the jacket?
Nice presentation.
You said 48 nm torque and wrote 46 nm ?
Plz correct
Please make video on cost of maintenance. As bennli is very very expensive in that area
Odd numbered services are about 7 to 8k...even numbered services are expensive..15k to 18k..yes its exp..but has 6 months or 6000km gap..also 5 yrs with unlimited kms warranty..but yes cost/km is high..
I could not keep up with the video thanx to the use of the word ‘nice’ ......
Please tell me which helmet is that.
What about on road performance of 502X??? Is it similar to 502???
Very heavy & the engine is not that punchier.....and the maintenance is very expensive.....needs every 6 months.
Is 502x has tubeless spoke wheels??
Yes... Even tiger doesn't has. But 502x has...
What about the maintenance cost, please tell the truth
Power to weight ratio not that captivating .... Honda CB500X could be good alternative.
Hi there just want to ask how's the heat of the engine?
I own the X version. I have had no issues , heat management is great.
Does both the bikes sounds same??? (Exhaust)
No.The x have more revv sound
Will it be difficult to handle 502x for hieght of 1.74/ 5'8"?
Its difficult. I am 5'8" and i tried my friend's 502x and was just touching the ground with my toes.
502 would be more than fine....502 x has a taller seat
Tube tyres or tubeless on the 502X?
Tube
both are tubeless
tubeless
Tube on x and tubeless on the standard 502
Name of Helmet please....
Marc Bo you got it?
Comparison between the himalayan n Trk 502 X - adv touring
Lol 😂 😂 😂 😂
this Benelli bike 502x has really drived me into measuring my exact height now...damn shit... god why d fuck am i not 6 feet yaar
🤘🎭❤❤
It's maintenance is very expensive 😣
Lovely.
How their top speed . Can it achieves 200 km / m
Kawasaki Versys 1000 is lot better than this, but yes it's price it little more than this but it is a good touring bike with four cylinder
Kushal G : I think Versys 650 is a lot closer to this bike (than Versys 1000) in terms of Price and Specs..
I would rather buy interceptor 650 and save 2.5 lakhs for a great road trip
jay deep : It’s equivalent to saying “I save money by buying a sedan instead of a 4x4 SUV” and use the saved money for Highway touring !
Get urself Honda activa mate😛
Go for electric and save ur penny for lifelong ride 😂😂😂😂
