I have had a Fortuner for nearly 12 Years now and have to say they are Great Daily drivers. Still enjoying touring with it and only came back last Sunday from a Tour with my Fortuner. Remove the 3rd Row, almost never need it anyway, pack a Fridge in there and you are good to go touring wherever you want. Great Car! :)

@@mohnnadmercedes8246 The ride Quality depends a lot on your tyres. Don't ever use "city" Tyres if you wanna go offroading. We had Michellins, drove 5km on Gravel and lost 2 Tyres. Also those old Modells still had 16" giving your sidewall more room for dampening, assisting the shocks. The New ones seem bouncier over humps etc in a city due to 17" or 18" Rims. What i usually do is drop the tyre pressure a bit unless you are fully loaded, that makes the ride so much more comfy. The Hilux bounces so much because it doesn't have weight in the back when its not loaded, since the Fortuner is closed, its heavy enough to stay grounded where most Hiluxes bounce. :)

Test drove this, the phero sport excee, mux and the new dmax in one day. For me thisnwas hands down the best. New dmax was also good. Toyota have a faultles engine and drivetrain. Everything just felt right.

Third row seats never get justice. Second row seats can be moved forward to increase third row leg room and the third row seats recline themselves as well, which improves the comfort a whole lot and gives a bit more headroom.
GR Sport Fortuner 2.8 was released in Indonesia on Feb 2022. A new version of 200+ HP & 500+ NM torque. Only, when I bought the GR Sport, I remember myself I am not really fan of the noise coming from diesel engine. So instead 2.8 Diesel I bought myself Fortuner GR Sport 2.7; a 2700 Cc gasoline engine😅, dual VVTI. And it runs very smooth, and machine is so quiet ! Vibration on your foot also doesnt exist for long ride🔥🔥🔥.
I’ve driven one of these for my drunk friend and her drunk parents. It is a very high seating position so you feel like you are driving a truck. Although it dod have body roll like you wouldn’t believe in corners, seeing as it is so high and thin this is to be expected. It’s very smooth and the cabin is pleasant. I’d only want this car if I had a family and/or a boat. Otherwise overall it’s a nice vehicle but not my pick. Especially considering it’s price!
Mate, the Fortuner has the same 4wd system as the Hilux, this is definitely not the "City Focus" 4wd system, don't underestimate it. But I have to say, come on Toyota au, make some TRD Fortuner just like what North America did to the 4Runner(and the 4Runner still use 5 speed), TRD model will definitely make this car sale.

I dont get toyota. They use the same engine in this as the Prado, a heavier, larger vehicle. They shouldve developed a 6 cyl diesel engine for the prado years back. Would make sense, given the hilux/fortuner is a 4 and the LC200 is an 8.
Its harder for them to meet emission standards with bigger older engines. Emissions standards are getting harder to pass every year. Thats why you see the increasing use of underpowered, small engines.
Naveen Kumar i totally agree, yet even nissan/renault developed the V9X V6 diesel for the navara and other infiniti/renault vehicles. And Toyota arguably has more funds to spend than both nissan and renault combined. If they can develop a nice V6 diesel, why cant toyota?

Ron North course you can, it is a matter of a few bolts, job done. But roger that regarding the floor mats, I have to take my vehicle to Toyota for service, first thing I have to do when collecting it is retrieve my mats out of the stupid bag the put them in every single bloody time.
@@rsoul7282 Where I live, to remove the seats (making it then a 5 seat vehicle) as the 7 seats are permanently fixed in at the factory. You have to also take out the seat belts and have the vehicle inspected and re-registered as a 5 seat vehicle. The insurance policy would then have to reflect this removal. To put the seats and seat belts back in, you will need a certificate of compliance from a qualified service centre. Then you will need to re-register and change your insurance for the vehicle. So not such a simpleton idea.

Why don’t they do a variant like the old surf and ditch the third row of seats, who the hell needs 7 seats, I would have bought one last, however the fold up rear seats are just a massive put off

It very dissapoint that turn singal puts too low near ground, while this is offroad vehicle. I prefer previous gen model turn singal wich is combined into headlamp housing
Turn signals in headlights don’t stand out in glaring daylight. Australia has many roundabouts where indicating is important. The Fortuner has turn signals high in the mirrors too. 🦘🇦🇺
Toyota Australia refuses to sell the manual. I tried. Better off importing a manual over seas or you might have to stick with auto. Its a shame, manual is a dying art
New fortuner is better even with my LC 200 when doing in the city due to a "proper" sizes SUV in my opinion. Even the brake and acceleration is comfy and quick enough to catch around 50 to 60 km/h. Test this on indonesia road. The suspension is quite harsh and stiff yet the sound proofing of this car is really good which makes me fall asleep in some cases... Definitely will have it again if the new Legendar come to my country.

I have a v6 2017 fortuner. Its available in the middle east and is far superior than the v4 models. It out does the pajero here.
