Great result guys. Enjoyed the extra information about how you got those results. I've been watching David Vizard and Richard Holdener a lot lately - learning about valve deshrouding, cylinder head porting, maximising quench or "squish", the optimum LCA for a given valve diameter and cubic inches of an engine, lightening the rod journals etc etc. Sure SC or Turbo will give great results but there's just something about a well built NA making 500 RWHP.

    OK, you have my attention.
I have a stock manual BOSS 290 FG Ute.
What sort of ballpark figure am I looking at to get something like this done to my FG?
    Seriously.

wish places were more transparent with how much this stuff costs, even if it's ball park, been looking up performance packages and every place has call for info or call for pricing, just put the price on the site ffs

@QES - what's it cost to get it to that power compared to the LS is it at all comparable? Genuinely interested

I would say HP per cubic inch it is pretty similar, maybe a tad in favour of the LS if you are starting out with a 260 instead of the 290/315, the LS is a bigger engine to start with so if you are talking HP for HP number it is easier and cheaper to get with the bigger LS yes.
