Please do episode on a facility in the northeast. A smaller one for this part of the country. We play ball too. Suggest Army West Point.Why? In 1842 a new 2nd Lt.graduated and received his commission as an Artillery Officer. That new officer is Abner Doubleday. bet you did not know that. A Captain Doubleday saw the game of rounders played by British troops. When he was posted to New York City to command an Artillery Company tasked with defending the harbor, he was assigned the duty of morale and fitness officer and come up with something to increase fitness and increase morale. On Ellelysian parade Field in Hoboken NJ he came up with this American version of rounders. THIS was the start of your favorite game.Later in life he did live upstate NY, where was an Army Depot, might have worked there. Depot was somewhere north of Oneonta NY.Near Cooperstown. He served in the War with mexico and the Civil war. They have an excellent Mid Major facility and the Academy,well there is no place in America like it. It is an active Army base as well as an educational facility.National Guard and Reserve Soldiers train on the ranges year round.
