Hello Marc, Last week my husband told you that I never have heard my nickname said on TV before. As George said I've been called Cricket since I was two days old and hardly anyone knew my real name is Jim. Never having anyone on T.V. use the Cricket name has dated all the way back to when I was a kid and watching Romper Room and at the end of the show the host teacher would look in her magic mirror and say "I see...." and she would name off a bunch of kids names She said my sister's name Wendy a bunch of times but never Cricket and I couldn't understand how she saw Wendy and never me. When you said Cricket at the end of this show I almost fell off the couch. I asked George if he sent you a message and he laughed and said he did. I didn't believe him. I want to thank you for saying my name. I meant the world to me. And I played it back at least four times but the night is still young.

The Light In The Piazza is based on a 1960 novel and there was a 1962 film version with Olivia de Havilland, Rosanno Brazzi, George Hamilton, and Yvette Mimieux titled "Light In The Piazza" without the first defintie article.

Wait, there's a song that's been cribbed from Ruddigore right in the middle of Thoroughly Modern Millie? Holy whatzit! Such a fun patter song, but not generally known outside G&S circles, I think.

Final tally: $8,900! A better game today! Got all the $200 and $400 questions and almost all of the West Side Story questions!
I like the idea of categories of a show on its anniversary on Broadway. More of those, please!

I refused to wager on final jeopardy and got $5200 to keep of imaginary money! Wheee. I love how sometimes I get some categories so easily and others stump me. I must have very niche knowledge! Keep up the excellent work. I appreciate how much work this must be. You do awesome!

Edmond from Royal Oak MI scored a whopping $20,000! Although I have to confess I got help from my o,dest son who appeared in MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG when he studied at Northwestern University. And, Marc, you were spot on regarding the clue from HOW TO SUCCEED. I was waiting all category for Word wide wickets because I was in the show 40 years ago.

First time playing, and I won $4000. You’re right, I played Mr. Bratt in “H2$” years ago, so I knew the answer to the WWW question.

Toal this week $9200. I aced the $400 questions. Not so much on the $200 questions and nothing on the $1000 questions, but I did get the final jeopardy answer this time out.

Marc, I love your show. My scores are spotty but I don’t care. I’m an American abroad (SE England) and I’ve seen wonderful things on the West End. Just saw Imelda Staunton as Dolly Levi. Superb. She’s both brassy and understated. How is that even possible? I will have a great score to crow about soon. Keep up the stellar work, Henrik

I have thought the musicals in musicals category , the clue would’ve said this . Name the oriental ballet that’s from an old ancient temple of an ancient musical .

Oh, I was hoping perhaps you might have acknowledged that the number you excerpted from "Thoroughly Modern Millie" is basically a Gilbert & Sullivan song lifted from "Ruddigore" with lyrics slightly altered. And yes, you might also have heard it from the 1980s version of "The Pirates of Penzance" but it was not original to "Pirates", it was added in, along with "Sorry Her Lot" from HMS Pinafore (because reasons? I mean, there's so much good music in Pirates without plopping in other songs lol). No one ever seems to mention that fact, however, which saddens me as an ardent G&S fan.

The grille in front of the box office window is a wicket! And so is a croquet hoop. I think it was Ethan Mordden who said that since these are both hollow, WWW literally makes nothing.

8200! After a rough few weeks it's great to have a higher score!
Funny how a lot of the musicals within musicals are Shakespeare related!
I did Urinetown in high school - just ensemble, but I had a blast - it's such a fun show!

Final score 17,000. I loved the musical-within a musical category. Thank you for using my suggestion of Merrily We Roll Along. I got the first part of the question right but I didn't get the 2nd part of it right.

24,400 this week. Missed Merrily, Broadway Musical and Schrank (I called him Krank, lol). Yes I did H2$ and knew WWW. Thanks for the shout out.
P.s. hope there’s a horror musical category for Halloween!

The character that sings "Big D" with Herman isn't Marie (she's Tony's controlling sister), it's Cleo, Rosabella's friend and waitress co-worker.

I didn't keep my dollar score this time, but I did okay. However, as many times as I have seen WSS & compared it to R & J in school, and seen newer versions, I can NOT believe that I missed EVERY SINGLE ONE of the West Side Story questions!! 🙄😒🤦🏻‍♀️ (so stupid)

Sooo I got £1400 in the first 2 rounds and then nothing... 😂 Did know "Abuela" but not her actual name but forgot to bet money in my head anyway 😅😅 Mark, is everything "one of your favourite show tunes/musicals"? 😂 Would love a round of "musicals I didn't enjoy" 😅 And as always ... I'll be hoping for more current west end questions as otherwise I'll never ever do well 🙈

I have an idea for a Category for Broadway Jeopardy. How about which Broadway Show Released Cast Albums of the replacement star of the show? Like Lea Michele, replacing the original star, Beanie Feldstein, of the show, recording of Hello Dolly.
