  • I'm sharing 41 Facts (ok, a lot more than 41 actually) about all 41 Broadway Theaters. The theater is a temple to the performing arts and my houses of worship are these magnificent 41 buildings. From which theater used to be a television studio, to what theater was cursed because of Babe Ruth, you'll definitely want to watch this and impress your friends next time you're in Times Square.

A series covering the theaters in more depth, and also talking about what used to be theaters, would be very interesting.

I would definitely be interested in seeing videos about these theaters. You can't understand Broadway, its shows, its music etc, without understanding the spaces that these shows, this music was designed for. So many creative decisions were made with these specific venues in mind.

We need your version of About This Theater; History, What played there and any other interesting facts! That would be great!

As several others have noted, I strongly encourage your idea of doing a series of videos on Broadway Theaters. I would also recommend a series of videos on the various regional theaters in the US: The Guthrie, The Goodman, The Louisville Actors Theater, the Pantages, The Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, the Ahmanson, etc. Of course, there's also the numerous theaters in the West End. That should keep you busy for a while. 🙂

Yes! I love the architecture and style of the Broadway theatres - and your insider stories! Also, the "Broadway Massacre of 1982" can NEVER be forgotten - it definitely deserves its own post!

Would definitely be interested in a deep dive on the 5 Broadway theaters torn down. You can see one of the signs for the old Helen Hayes theater in the NYS Museum up in Albany ( so a little bit of it lives on).

Pretty good video. I've been to all the theatres and it's nice to go back thru the video. More is always better so I subscribed. I remember when all the newer theatres were built/remodeled: I've seen the hits and the flops. Good presentation.

I'd love to see a video on each theatre. I've only been to NYC a few times as I'm from Australia & only been to a couple theatres so I'll have to look at my playbills to see what theatres I've been to.

I actually now do a walking tour of Broadway theaters so this is an INVALUABLE resource I can pop back to from time to time and I’ve shared it with my boss. Also can we PLEASE get the Sewlyn theatre’s original facade back!
